The GOP Blows Off Its Own Toes . . .Yet, Again!

The hedge fund guys are getting away with murder… The middle class are getting absolutely destroyed. This country won’t have a middle class soon.” — Donald Trump

"We've had people we've known our whole lives decide we're racist and white supremacist," said Suzanne Monk.

Resistance to President Donald Trump is cropping up in the most unlikeliest of places: the House GOP caucus.
At least four Republican lawmakers in the House of Representatives, some of whom have been questioned, booed and heckled at recent town halls by their constituents, publicly called for Trump to release his tax returns in order to review for any potential conflicts of interest that pose a national security risk or violate the Constitution. Salon

The tassled-loafer wing-tip of the American Political Elite ( global statists, bent upon aiding in the creation of the American Banana Republic) is worn by the folks who helped create ObamaCare - the GOP ( 'go-along' and all Oligarchs profit).

  • The likes of former U.S. Senator Marque Kirque of Illinois, who remained in U.S. Senator Dick Durbin's back pocket, in sickness and in health, for his entire senatorial tenure, comes to mind.

  • Then there are Senators McCain and Lindsey Graham, the Uncle Cyp and Aunt Sap, of Nation-building Endless Warfare.Image result for uncle cyp and aunt sap

If they are talking on CNN and MSNBC, it means that they are on the job for the elites.

Let us not forget that the GOP was always friendly to abortion, prior to Nixon.

From Nixon using abortion legislation to strategically woo Catholics to lobbyists deliberately linking family planning to abortion in the '90s, the Republican long game to court a new voter base was nothing if not effective. Today, it's almost impossible to be a pro-choice Republican running for any major political office. And across the country, state-level efforts to restrict abortion access are powering forward: in Texas, the number of abortion providers dropped from 40 to eight in a little over a year.
Though reproductive rights seem to be disappearing before our eyes, the secret Republican history of Planned Parenthood tells a different story—namely that it doesn't have to be this way, because it hasn't always been.

This toxic love affair between WASP delicacy where unwelcomed babies made manicured finger-tips touch shamed pink cheeks, so too the blush of profitable partnership with the radical Progressives (ACLU) and Neo-Cons:
Yet the triumph of neoconservatism was hardly permanent or complete. The administration so far has not adopted neocon arguments to push for regime change in North Korea and Iran. Bush has cooled on the "axis of evil" talk and has launched negotiations with the regime in North Korea. The president has also established friendlier relations with Communist China than many neocons would like, and he launched a high-profile effort to promote a "road map" for settling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that most neocons (correctly) predicted would lead nowhere.
"Neocons Are Liberals Who Have Been Mugged by Reality"
No longer true. Original neoconservatives such as Irving Kristol, who memorably defined neocons as liberals who'd been "mugged by reality," were (and still are) in favor of welfare benefits, racial equality, and many other liberal tenets. But they were driven rightward by the excesses of the late 1960s and early 1970s, when crime was increasing in the United States, the Soviet Union was gaining ground in the Cold War, and the dominant wing of the Democratic Party was unwilling to get tough on either problem.
A few neocons, like philosopher Sidney Hook or Kristol himself, had once been Marxists or Trotskyites. Most, like former U.N. Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick, simply had been hawkish Democrats who became disenchanted with their party as it drifted further left in the 1970s. Many neocons, such as Richard Perle, originally rallied around Henry "Scoop" Jackson, a Democratic senator who led the opposition to the Nixon-Ford policy of détente with the Soviet Union. Following the 1980 election, U.S. President Ronald Reagan became the new standard bearer of the neoconservative cause.
Abortion, Civil Liberties When Acceptable to the Elite, and Nation Building are the global initiatives are meat and global warming, gay triumphalism, class and race warfare the gravy of the elitism defeated by Middle America in November 2017.

The GOP and Progressive Democrats hate Trump with equally bilious malice.

Here in Illinois, the radical Progressive Democrat Party runs everything with the help of Illionois GOP.   Had they not, Dan Proft might be our Governor.  Make no mistake. A Governor Rauner is the the twin of Mayor Rahm Emanuel.  Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin dip from the same dish.

President Trump was not my first, or my fifth choice for President, but I have come to appreciate his genuine concern for Helot America.

The GOP is the Party that blows off its own toes, when the elites are threatened. They are threatened.

President Trump looks better to me every news cast and with each fold of the page.

Day Two of Chicago' Blackout on News & Opinion Regarding Obama's Cash for Hostages

From Today's Chicago Tribune

I know that a star woman basketball pro is getting married to a woman of her same sexual preference and I could not be more . . . that's nice.

I know that pork is the cheapest cut of meat these days and that Bruce Dold of the Chicago Tribune has goaded Senator Dick Durbin into action that will have pig prices skyrocket in no time.

I know that water is the new Rahm Emanuel 9mm for drive by taxation.

I know that Obama says the cargo planes packed with 400 million dollars in cash sent to Iran the minute four hostages were released is just a distraction. Lifted from the Washington Post

Anything else?  The usual. Whitey is evil.  The Obama Library is in Jackson Park.

From The Sun Times

Even less.

Trump is bad.  Clinton is a woman. Daley kicked pensions down the road. Cops are really bad;worse than Whitey.

Lynn Sweet completely ignores the pallets packed with dollars and euros for Valerie Jarrett's clients in Tehran and giggles about the looming Obama Library and tweets that a Republican hates Trump.  Who don't?

I can't stand Trump, but at least he is not Hillary.

The Chicago editorial boards ( and too many of their opinion writers) are political stooges.  We are much better served by the rumor mill at Dunkin Donuts, or Kean Gas.

At  least rumor-mongers think for themselves.

I learned this from Reuters -

The Obama administration said on Wednesday that $400 million in cash paid to Iran soon after the release of five Americans detained by Tehran was not ransom as some Republicans have charged.
The five, including Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaian, were released on Jan. 16 in exchange for seven Iranians held in the United States for sanctions violations. The prisoner deal coincided with the lifting of international sanctions against Tehran.
At the time, the United States said it had settled a longstanding Iranian claim at the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal in The Hague, releasing $400 million in funds frozen since 1981, plus $1.3 billion in interest that was owed to Iran.
The funds were part of a trust fund Iran used before its 1979 Islamic Revolution to buy U.S. military equipment that was tied up for decades in litigation at the tribunal. . . .
White House spokesman Josh Earnest rejected suggestions the money transfer to Iran was ransom or a secret.
"The United States, under President Obama, has not paid a ransom to secure the release of Americans unjustly detained in Iran and we're not going to pay a ransom," he said in response to a Wall Street Journal article that said Washington secretly organized the cash airlift.

Uh, huh.  Earnest Injun?  News to me.

Well, you can bet there will be nothing about cash to Tehran on the shelves of the Obama Library despoiling the landscape in Jackson Park so artfully designed by Freddie Law Olmstead in 1871.

Dick Durbin is not Just a Dope - He is an Apologist for a Cop Killer's Mouthpiece

Politics is all about people. People can be funny, especially when some people get slotted for higher office.  They are tasked by the powers that be and the money that funds their efforts to maintain or increase the pile to do exactly enough within their limited powers and abilities.  Some people in politics, with very limited skills and a complete inability to reflect on their words and deeds do handsomely, at our great expense.

There are people who should not be given the keys to a slop-sink closet, let alone the keys to national power.  Our electronic information highway culture provides the on-ramp for incompetent dopes provided with enough media cover be public persons -Pat Quinn, Jan Schakowsky, Mike Quigley, and U.S. Senators Marque Kirque (R.) and Dick Durbin come immediately to mind.

I knew Dick Durbin was a dope in 1997,  shortly after he was tapped to replace Senator Paul Simon and beat the then hapless Pat Quinn.  Durbin visited Leo on one of those 'inncer city kids' photo opportunity scams so beloved of phonies who never help the place after the pictures have been popped. Before meeting with Leo President , Durbin accompanied me on a tour of the school and stood in the trophy room gawking at Boyle and Ryan Bronzed Shoes from the 1956 City Championship Game and the many, many many football trophies dating back to the early 1930's.  He then spoke with the legendary Leo Teacher Coach, Principal and President, whop played in that 1956 City Championship game about the traditions of Leo Football from Johnny Galvin to Harold Blackmon.  Senator Durbin was introduced to the varsity head coach Mike Holmes whose Lions had made the playoffs only the Friday before and Durbin asked, " Does Leo Have a Football Team?"

Since then the senior U.S. Senator from Illinois has matched that question almost on a daily basis -
  • American G.I.'s are Gulag Nazis
  • Shilling for the Abortion Industry at Every Opportunity
  • Make Gitmo Terrorists become Illinois Melon Patch Kids at Thomson Federal Detention Facility
  • Telling Fibs about Telling Fibs That he Heard from Others About the President
  • Making Ukrainians Listen to his Empty Prose While Putin Holds a Gun to Their Cousins' Heads
  • Making Marque Kirque seem Statesman-like
  • Asking the IRS to terrorize Old Ladies Who Like Tri-Corner Hats

I make light of this syrupy drip of a man, but that stops here.
WASHINGTON — The Senate on Wednesday voted to block Debo Adegbile, President Obama’s controversial nominee for assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, from being confirmed.
Adegbile’s nomination had been contested because of his history at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund defending notorious cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was found guilty of the 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.
Senate majority leader Harry Reid pleaded with the Democratic-controlled Senate to approve Adegbile’s nomination, but enough Democrats sided with Republicans on Wednesday afternoon to block a procedural step leading to a final vote. Fifty-two senators voted against proceeding, while 47 voted for it.
The leading  voice of The Mumia 47 is Dick Durbin

A supporter of black political activist Mumia Abu Jamal holds a sign during a demonstration at the Federal courthouse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, November 9, 2010. A federal appeals court entertained arguments from Abu Jamal concerning the sentencing phase of his trial for the 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner. Abu-Jamal, a former member of the Black Panthers militant group, was convicted and sentenced to death in 1982 for murdering Faulkner in an early morning confrontation on December 9, 1981. REUTERS/Tim Shaffer (UNITED STATES - Tags: CRIME LAW CIVIL UNREST POLITICS) - RTXUFJD

“Mr. Adegbile’s representation of Mumia Abu-Jamal does not mean he lacks respect for the rule of the law,” said Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, a Democrat. “And it certainly should not disqualify him for this important Civil Rights job. In fact, his willingness to represent an unpopular defendant in an emotionally-charged case demonstrates his appreciation for the rule of law.” (emphases my own)

I took an early voting opportunity.  I took a Republican ballot to vote for Doug Truax in the primary in the hope that at least one good man has the opportunity to run against one of the most useless office holders in America.

I used be amused by Durbin's homespun basset hound pious contrarian frowns as mere pancake make-up for a dope.  Mouthing off Atticus Finch-like pieties about a cop killer's mouthpiece tears the blanket.

This is as low as one should be allowed to go.

Durbin must be voted out.

Illinois Denied FEMA Aid for Torando Devastated Towns - Thanks, Obama, Durbin and Quinn!

Homeowners and helpers dig out what they can from a mountain of debris on Nov. 19 after more than 1,000 homes were devastated by an EF4 tornado that passed through Washington on Nov. 17.

Washington Illinois Denied FEMA aid - You Didn't Bill That!

The Illinois GOP is a congress of losers - has been so ever since Honest Abe's funeral and always will be. The reason for this being, the Illinois GOP is deathly afraid mopes, stooges, mealy mouthed creeps and grifters.

When Bill Brady allowed Roe & Roeper to bully him into turning over his taxes on demand, in last Guv-Go-Around, he was toast. Brady allowed others to define him and his candidacy.  Just the other day Roe and Roeper pulled billionaire Bruce's flannel lined, relaxed-fit Carhartt britches over the minimum wage nonsense. The FEMA story is tailor-made to nail Pat Quinn's purple tie to the donkies who work for him - they screwed up the FEMA application:

Damage was assessed from Dec. 2 to Dec. 6 and an application was sent by the state of Illinois to the federal government asking for public assistance in effected communities.
Washington Mayor Gary Manier said in the month that’s passed since that assessment, the perception of damage has only escalated.
“Unfortunately, sometimes you have to turn these applications in earlier than before you’ve done due diligence to the entire process and know what your numbers really are,” Manier said Thursday. “Debris removal is probably one of the biggest as far as man-hours and taking debris to the landfill. Everything comes at a cost.
“There’s a lot of unknown costs. We’ve got a little bit better understanding of what we’re going to be facing in the spring, in the next six months or even a year or two out. … It’s an ongoing learning experience for all of us.”
The preliminary damage assessment conducted jointly by federal and state emergency management agencies was $6.1 million in costs in nine counties affected by the storms, far short of the threshold for federal assistance in Illinois of $17.8 million, but an appeal could include costs that weren’t on the original application.

Instead, Rauner and the three other'victims' for Governor will mouse out answers prefabbed at Trib Tower and WTTW about Wage and Income Inequality and 'Aren't You Ashamed to be You?'

I have yet to read or hear of one GOP gubernatorial hopeful raise the issue of FEMA's repeated denials of disaster relief aide to Illinois.

  • The White House is stuffed with Illinois (read Hyde Park) career grifters, as is the Federal Government itself.

  • Senator Dithering Dick Durbin and his stooge GOP lap-dog Marque Kirque are all fired up to rename the ATF Federal Building the Eliot Ness Building - We have waited far too long! -, but they can not get FEMA to come up with the trump to help Washington, Illinois.

  • The most unqualified man to ever occupy the White House, Barack H. Obama, spends more time in his native Hawaii, than he does in the Land of Lincoln and writes idiotic Executive Orders to make sure abortion and Trojans are keeping women healthy quicker than 10:30 Mass at Sacred Heart.

  • Governor Pat Quinn found his brief case Betsy and a puppy, Rosie,Governor PQuinn his new dog Rosie Friday Jan. 10 2014. | Chandler West/For Sun-Times Media but remains the most inconsequential person in Illinois History.

Worse than my bullets above remains the Illinois GOP.  The only shots they manage to fire are aimed directly at their own toes.

Rauner, Rutherford, Bill 'Loser' Brady, and Dillard are as much the reason for the Illinois Endless Season of Stupid.

ObamaCare/Planned Parenthood as Cute as a Chinese Baby . . . a Dead Chinese Baby.

“The Obama administration’s mandate that all health plans must provide to women, with no charge, all government-approved contraceptives, has already reignited debate on the federal role in health care,” Fleishman writes. “Ah, how I remember “Every child a wanted child,” our motto at Planned Parenthood. And I do welcome this legislation.

Fleishman goes on to condemn the world’s population growth and says the Obama mandate and the one-child policy is needed to stem that.

“Unless we act (this legislation, along with China’s “one child” policy, is a start), the world is doomed to strangle among coils of pitiless exponential growth,” he concludes.

Now, that is what being an a$$hole is all about!

The first comment on the Chicago Tribune's paste-up of the Reuters story is from a genuine Progressive who equates the cold disdain for a toddler crushed by not one but two drivers and ignored by 18 adults to Herman Cain's comments OWS protesters.

Not so, Slim Wit! The death of this baby following a week of struggle to live is a tribute to Planned Parenthood, Progressives and Planned Parenthood's 1st President of the United States.

Give that a good viewing and then try to write a check to Planned Parenthood. Worse, Senator Dick Durbin and other elected lackeys take coin from Planned Parenthood spout their bull$shit and legislate for them.

In Ireland, they call people like Durbin Cute 'Hoors*. Women are never called Hoors (Whores) in Ireland, only men; especially political hacks.

One Child -One Wanted child is the very Novocaine to America's soul.

The murder of children, after conception or in a nursing home eighty years later, is murder. ObamaCare is all about control. Nothing controls like termination.

The same clowns who weep over the death of a lamprey eel, pee-in-their-pants with joy over abortion.

What is appalling is Planned Parenthood and anyone connected with those murdering dowagers, from aldermanic office, to the White House.

Cute Hoors . . .as cute as a Chinese baby.

*Cute Hoor – Someone who tricks other people without being discovered. Clever or sneaky.

Now, attention, Ye Cute Hoors, Ye.

Elena Kagan's Softball - Partial Birth Abortions: Not a Smoking Gun, A Bloody Forceps! Thank You Jill Stanek!

Kagan Nomination Still Unborn!

Smiling and witty, Elena Kagan who honed her softball skills in abortion happy Hyde Park awaits more slow pitches from the Senate. Jill Stanek*, a nurse who shields babies from murder and sacrificed her pension and career in so doing has offered the smoking gun on Kagan's abortion of our language in order to allow the murder of the unborn.

Limp wristed Illinois Senator Dirthering Dick Durbin tossed a few grapefruits, as is his wont.

However, am Oak Lawn, Illinois nurse chased out of her career by the harpies of Planned Parenthood and gutless hospital administrators points out what every American needs to know about Elena Kagan - she'd crawl over a mountain of fetuses to be on the Supreme Court.

However, the discovery of Kagan's forceps in the abortion of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
It has just come to light through the process of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan's confirmation hearing that in 1996 ACOG let the Clinton White House, via then-associate counsel Elena Kagan, write its medical opinion of the partial-birth abortion procedure.

Documents released from the Clinton library show ACOG inexplicably (because no one from ACOG will now respond to press inquiries for an explanation) submitted its draft unhelpful opinion of partial-birth abortion for review to the White House in the face of a ban being proposed in Congress and then changed it to suit Clinton's pro-abortion agenda. The statement ACOG originally planned to release read:

However, a select panel convened by ACOG could identify no circumstances under which this procedure, as defined above, would be the only option to gave the life or preserve the health of the woman. Notwithstanding this conclusion, ACOG strongly believes that decisions about medical treatment must be made by the doctor, in consultation with the patient, based upon the woman's particular circumstances.
In other words, ACOG found no exceptional reason for the existence of partial-birth abortion. Legalized abortion could get along just fine without it. Nevertheless, in ACOG's curious opinion, it should remain legal.

A select panel convened by ACOG could identify no circumstances under which this procedure, as defined above, would be the only option to save the life or preserve the health of the woman. An intact D&X, however, may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman, and only the doctor, in consultation with the patient, based upon the woman's particular circumstances can make this decision.

Then Elena Kagan, the Christmas Chinese Buffet Sampler, got out her pen and placed it where it can do abortion and Planned Parenhood -the industy's PAC -the most good. Dim Sum? Oh, you mean Dick Durbin . . .no, he's way Dim!

The final version of ACOG's January 1997 statement read (bold highlight theirs – accentuating what Kagan accentuated):

A select panel convened by ACOG could identify no circumstances under which this procedure, as defined above, would be the only option to save the life or preserve the health of the woman. An intact D&X, however, may be the best or most appropriate procedure in a particular circumstance to save the life or preserve the health of a woman, and only the doctor, in consultation with the patient, based upon the woman's particular circumstances can make this decision.
ACOG used Kagan's language verbatim.

As former Justice Department lawyer Shannen Coffin pointed out in a National Review Online column yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court cited ACOG's opinion when striking Nebraska's partial-birth abortion ban in 2000, and U.S. District Court Judge Richard Kopf also cited it when he, as well as two other judges, enjoined the 2003 federal ban.

So it can be said Elena Kagan was largely responsible for keeping partial-birth abortion on the books 10 years beyond what it would have had the courts ruled based on uncorrupted medical opinion.

This is a scandal. For all its pomp, ACOG is unequivocally corrupt.

And Elena Kagan? She has demonstrated she doesn't let reason, facts, medicine or science stand in the way of her pro-abortion ideology.

And this fanatic is on track to be our next U.S. Supreme Court justice, unless bold Republican senators can lead the way in successfully challenging her.

Abortion and Euthanasia are crucial to Progressive moral tone. Without the death of children, the elderly, the incapacitated, the unwanted, smokers,or maybe some day the obese ( Progressives hate lard-asses too), Progressive science just can not seem to march on.

Great work Nurse Stanek!

*Jill Stanek fought to stop "live-birth abortion" after witnessing one as a registered nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill. In 2002, President Bush asked Jill to attend his signing of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. In January 2003, World Magazine named Jill one of the 30 most prominent pro-life leaders of the past 30 years. To learn more, visit Jill's blog, Pro-life Pulse.

John Kass? Dithering Dick Durbin - Alexi's Zorba the Creep!

Just when WTTW had a golden opportunity to fight the power ( Illinois Speaker Mike Madigan- the only adult in Illinois Government) and allow Carol Marin to smugly snark-out Bosses, Bossism and Boss malapropisms weaving a purple toga ( that's a Roman thing) for Forrest Claypool - the panjandrum ( always appointed rarely elected) Zelig of Reform, John Kass of the Chicago Tribune hosed on the Greek Fire!

Oprah!

Just when will Claypool allow his buddies in the Obama White House to persuade the toxic Alexi Giannoulias to drop out and draft Claypool for a run against Republican Mark Kirk for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois?

"Excuse me?" Claypool asked, as if he hadn't thought of it. "I have no interest in running for the Senate. I'm running to be the next Cook County assessor."

Claypool, the liberal Democrat, is indeed campaigning as an independent for assessor against Democratic Party warhorse Joe Berrios, D-Madigan.

"I'm not considering the Senate," he told me.

But he must have considered it, at least fleetingly, even as he's trying to gather 25,000 petition signatures to get himself on the November ballot.

And so have Democrats and Republicans who want to look past the latest sound bite and the next Claypool suck-up session. I'm sure President Barack Obama and his City Hall guys have thought of it.

Roasted Lamb, by the beard of Zeus! Kass, where's Illinois Senior Senator Dithering Dick Durbin? Boutsokefalos Durbin has been the Greek Mentor to Alexi Giannoulias and took the boy to fabled Hellas for a walk among the ruins and imparted his sage counsel on all things melon, lemon and felon!

Remember? Last Spring - 2009. The Odyssey of Durbin? What wisdoms did he impart to the young Treasurer? What pearls? What skata was Dithering Dick Talkin'?

"I believe he(Alexi) will be more forthcoming. There are some things we do know and should acknowledge. He (Alexi) has not been involved with his family bank for four years. The current portfolio of that bank, only 9 % of those loans reflect loans that were on the books when he(Alexi) left the bank 4 years ago, so the loan package out there now at that bank is substantially different. I think he should come forward. He's talked to me about it what happened there, he's very proud his father started this bank and built it up from nothing. The controversy there whether it reflects on Alexi himself personally or the banking practices remains to be seen, but I've encouraged him to answer all the questions." Senator Dithering Dick Durbin

IOANNES (Ιωαννης) Kass! While our anger is often aimed at the obvious man in power, or the most skilled or the most successful, it is not always the Great Man who is the puppetmaster, but often the Iago, or the Catesby, or the Bacon. Just because Senator Durbin presents himself as a hapless dope, does not mean that he is without his ability to seed folly and influence a young man. Remember what Aristotle said in Rhetoric -

Anger may be defined as an impulse, accompanied by pain, to a conspicuous revenge for a conspicuous slight directed without justification towards what concerns oneself or towards what concerns one's friends. If this is a proper definition of anger, it must always be felt towards some particular individual, e.g. Cleon, and not "man" in general. It must be felt because the other has done or intended to do something to him or one of his friends. It must always be attended by a certain pleasure -- that which arises from the expectation of revenge. For since nobody aims at what he thinks he cannot attain, the angry man is aiming at what he can attain, and the belief that you will attain your aim is pleasant. Hence it has been well said about wrath,

Sweeter it is by far than the honeycomb dripping with sweetness,
And spreads through the hearts of men.

Stay angry, John Kass - IOANNES ( Ιωαννης)!!!!!! NOW!!!! I MUST Dance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brit Hume Mops the Floor with Durbin - The Murderer of School Reform

Senator Dithering Dick Durbin is beholden no principle. The Thompson Gitmo Guest Haus Developer, Abortion Industry Baby-Daddy and SEIU Towel Boy is also the School Reform Child Molester of America.

Sen. Dick "American Troops are SS" Durbin does what he is bidden to do by SEIU, Planned Parenthood and the Education Lobby. Durbin has been caught strangling the baby of Reform in the cradle. This fatuous and mealy-mouthed dope is a parser for Abortion and then passes around his 1st Communion Photos to the voters.

Last night Brit Hume pasted this time serving dope -

The real reason seems to be that the program works and thereby threatens the monopoly the public schools and their unions now enjoy. So language to end the program was quietly inserted in that massive trillion spending bill now working its way through Congress.

Fingerprints are hard to find, but the point-man against the program has been the Senate's No. 2 Democrat: Dick Durbin of Illinois. The AFL-CIO's most recent rating of his support was 100 percent — small wonder.

To think that I vote for this amoeba Durbin makes my skin itch. He makes Roland Burris look like Curley Dirksen.

Pour it on him, Mr. Hume!

Justice Dude Holder's Gitmo Clients -Recused from Justice

Senator Dithering Dick Durbin is shilling for the House of Holder and former Governor Pat Quinn is helping. Thomson, Illinois will soon be the Gitmo Guest Haus for Eric "A Nation of Cowards" Holder's clients.

According to documents obtained exclusively by The Washington Times, Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, No. 3 official in the Justice Department, had to recuse himself on at least 13 active detainee cases and at least 26 cases listed as either closed or mooted.

Sen. Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican, made waves Nov. 18 when he demanded that Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. provide a list of all the suspected-terrorist detainee cases from which current Justice Department political appointees have had to recuse themselves. The extent of the conflicts at the department is still unclear.

Mr. Perrelli's recusals presumably stem from the work that either he or his former firm, Jenner & Block LLP, did on behalf of detainees while Mr. Perrelli served on the firm's management committee and on its appellate and Supreme Court practice groups. And Mr. Perrelli is just one official; a number of other Justice Department officials apparently did private-sector work on detainee cases.

This is an important topic. Even if each official who did prior work on detainee cases has indeed properly recused himself from those cases while at the Justice Department, there could be such a large number of affected officials that the department's prevailing ethos could be tilted strongly in the detainees' favor. Mr. Grassley's inquiry is pressing because it could ferret out any instance in which a department official should have been recused but wasn't.

When the senator publicly requested information from Mr. Holder, the attorney general merely promised to "consider" the request. After some hemming and hawing and dodging, Mr. Holder eventually said he needed to make sure there was no "attorney-client privilege" involved before disclosing the list of recusals. This is absurd. Attorney-client privilege may extend to the substance of lawyers' discussions with detainees, but not to the mere question of whether the lawyers are doing such work.

While the rest of the list of recusals has yet to be provided to the senator, The Washington Times secured the Perrelli recusal list, which previously had been distributed widely within the Justice Department. Herewith, consider this list of names of detainees whose cases are listed as "active" on the Perrelli recusal list:

Saad Al Qahtani. Mohammed Zahrani. Achraf Salim ("Sultan") Abdessalam. Abdul Rahman Abdul Abu Ghityh Sulayman. Musaab Omar Al Madhwani. Jawad Jabbar Sadkhan (Al Sahlani). Majid Khan.

Coupons and Penny savers! Check out the Costs!

Average Annual Cost Per Inmate: $43,803.00! Wow, that is $13,000 more than my Western Illinois University 2007 Graduate daughter Nora makes in our American Economy. She has yet to plant a IED.

More than my friends who have been laid off for more three months. I know several families who will not be as snug and well cared for here in Illinois as these gents who made war on America.

Foreign born terrorists get to live in Illinois Melon Capital - Thomson, Illinois.

Thomson Correctional Center is a safe maximum-security environment. Prison design, movement patterns and programming options will allow a strong community of order to be maintained. Inmates will be monitored under constant armed and electronic surveillance. Education, mental health services, recreation and skilled development will be available to inmates as mandatory and or voluntary programming options. These choices, under professional guidance, are opportunities for inmates to enrich their lives with the tools necessary for successful living.

Thomson Correctional Center is a Level 1 adult male maximum-security facility comprised of 1,600 cells and eight housing units. The facility also has a 200-bed minimum-security unit. The facility is 146 acres and consists of 15 buildings, totaling 625,000 square feet. Construction in the cell houses is pre-cast, reinforced cement walls. The facility is enclosed by a 12-foot exterior fence and 15-foot interior fence, which includes a dual sided electric stun fence.

Currently only the 200-bed minimum-security unit is open with no opening date set for the main complex.

Dang. Adult education classes will be provided no doubt.

As Dithering Dick Durbin said, "If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags or some mad regime — Pol Pot or others — that had no concern for human beings,"

Yep!

The Illinois Way!

Gitmo Guests! Welcome to Thomson - Durbin Tours and Quinn Travel Presentation

PC might prevent me from mentioning the fact that folks from the Middle East love a nice melon! Oh bother PC - them Arab lads Love Melons! Well, sir, that did not seem such leap, now did it? Thomson's for Melon Lovers -not just Terrorist Guests of Gitmo.

Does Dithering Dick Durbin, who had no problem calling American Girls and Boys in Military Servcice Nazis a few years back, so well understand the Islamist hue on the Great Diversity Rainbow that Thomson was his pick to bring Islamist Terrorist to Illinois' Melon Capitol of the World?

Is Governor Pat Quinn so tired of public service that he listens to Dick Durbin's sage counsel?

These and many more questions will be played out in the coming days

Thomson, Il in Carroll County is a beautiful town - been there! I wonder how the folks at Kyles Tavern and American Legion Post 1025 will enjoy sharing the beauty of this Illinois Paradise with hate-filled killers.

The melons might make a difference.

ACORN, The Faux Hegelian Crooks and Academic Posers and the Political Oafs of Illinois

Since morality is an experiment analogous to the scientific method, Dewey rejects any a priori moral limits on action; moral knowledge can only come in the process of experience. Dewey calls his method “naturalistic empiricism” (EN, 1a), and describes proper experimentalism as providing “a map of the road that has been traveled” (EN, 29). Dewey acknowledges as problematic that the retrospective method of traditional empiricism tends to accept the facts of past experience as given: “British empiricism, with its appeal to what has been in the past is, after all, only a kind of apriorism. For it lays down a fixed rule for future intelligence to follow.”26Instead of a purely retrospective empiricism, Dewey goes to great lengths to outline a dialectical experimentalism as opposed to a one-sided empiricism.27Always concerned

I watched a bit of ACORN free-fall while channel surfing the Cable, during my laundry rituals this morning and amused myself with the always pie-eyed loudmouth, hip-hop Academic Michael Eric Dyson on Morning Joe. Dyson scatted loudly about race and the nuanced "Oh,No You Didn't" race machine-gunning of all manner of topic.

This dope was given an academic posting at the PC Self-Conscious DePaul University, a Sun Times column that was mercifully short-lived and launched himself on to the national scene at Georgetown University and gigs on CNN and the MSNBC Took-Shed ( staffed by more Tools than True Value Hardware.

Dyson went all Mumia on Morning Joe and Mika with 'You gotta understand' litanies that support failed President Jimmy Carter's moronic assertion that any opposition to President Obama is intrinsically racist and reaction against the election of America's first black President. Race is place for the helpful Hegelian Man Dyson.

Dyson and most extreme leftist Academics float on the clouds of Faux Hegelianism.

Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel was a 19th Century German Philosopher who developed the system of ideas that 'pump up' the State. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao, Kaiser Wilhelm, Tojo, Tito, Castro, Hugo Chavez, John Dewey, Roger Baldwin, W.E.B. Dubois, and Michael Eric Dyson are Hegelians, or at least faux Hegelians.
Hegel was the granddaddy of Totalitarian schemers and the polar opposite of liberal thinkers. Thus:

The worship of power is an old religion, and Hegel, to go no farther back, is full of it; but like traditional religion his system qualified its veneration for success by attributing success, in the future at least, to what could really inspire veneration; and such a master in equivocation could have no difficulty in convincing himself that the good must conquer in the end if whatever conquers in the end is the good.
George Santayana, Winds of Doctrine, I

In fact, so powerful was Hegel's system of thought that the entire philosophical foundation of the University of Chicago is Germanic Hegelianism and most rooted in Hegel was the man who screwed up American Public Education John Dewey. Hegel influenced Marx and Marx tried to stop Adam Smith style free market thought through Hegel's The State as Absolute Truth. All a priori truths -ethics morals and religious conviction are excised by John Dewey in his mad rush and crush on 'free inquiry.' Everything is absorbed by Hegel's Absolute -The State.

Hegelianism is at the core of what we call modern American Progressives ( Emma Goldman, Roger Baldwin & etc.) Progressives seek to ensure that every human thought, activity and inclination be absorbed into the One Absolute -The State ( Government -witness the great 1919 Progressive Victory Prohibition and its children State controlled Vice -Gaming, Smoking, Banking, Industry, Health, Sex, Abortion, Eugenics, Voting, Education, ad infinitum!) Thus,. . .

Perhaps one of the most influential parts of Hegel's Philosophy of Right concerns his analysis of the contradictions of the unfettered capitalist economy. On the one hand, Hegel agreed with Adam Smith that the interlinking of productive activities allowed by the modern market meant that “subjective selfishness” turned into a “contribution towards the satisfaction of the needs of everyone else.” But this did not mean that he accepted Smith's idea that this “general plenty” produced thereby diffused (or “trickled down” ) though the rest of society. From within the type of consciousness generated within civil society, in which individuals are grasped as “bearers of rights” abstracted from the particular concrete relationships to which they belong, Smithean optimism may seem justified. But this simply attests to the one-sidedness of this type of abstract thought, and the need for it to be mediated by the type of consciousness based in the family in which individuals are grasped in terms of the way they belong to the social body. In fact, the unfettered operations of the market produces a class caught in a spiral of poverty. Starting from this analysis, Marx later used it as evidence of the need to abolish the individual proprietorial rights at the heart of Hegel's “civil society” and socialise the means of production. Hegel, however, did not draw this conclusion. His conception of the exchange contract as a form of recognition that played an essential role within the state's capacity to provide the conditions for the existence of rational and free-willing subjects would certainly prevent such a move. Rather, the economy was to be contained within an over-arching institutional framework of the state, and its social effects offset by welfarist state intervention

http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hegel/

Hegel defies common sense and the true sense of the human community. Progressives have done more to vanish the Humanities than any 3rd Century Vandal could have dreamed of doing. Why burn a library when you can burn away the Human Voice! " You Lie!" No, I don't!

That is why faux Hegelians like Dyson find such warmth in Hegel's illogical blanket. If it deifies sense -hey it works. The eye is valuable, but it is not intrinsically essential in and of its self. The eye is good for seeing stuff, but take the eye out of the human being and it is useless. A Hegelian like Dyson takes something that might have value and turns it into an absolute. Racism is valuable to racists whether they are leading the Aryan Nation, or commenting loudly on Morning Joe.

Hegelians love ACORN. Hell they founded it. According to Hegel the only things that matters is the complete subjugation of everything needed to help feed its appetite for Power an that Power's ability to feed the State is absolute. Hookers, Pimps and sex-slave traffickers have a place under the Mighty Oak. Until the last two weeks anyway.

Federal Funding to ACORN was dumped. More on the way.

Our two Illinois Senators voted to stand with ACORN. Makes perfect Hegelian sense.

Dick Durbin* is a Hegelian's Dream Candidate - everything and anything fits Durbin handsomely, but common sense. Senator Roland Burris . . .that says it all.

ACORN lost its funding after years of being a haven for 60's radicals and a money laundering operation that benefits elected officials.

When the Faith, Patriotism, Decency and Honesty of American citizens can be tagged as essentially and absolutely racist in all matters, Hegelian thought is afoot.

*
Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) introduced an amendment to the HUD and Transportation appropriation bill to strip ACORN of all federal funding. A week ago, Johanns wouldn’t have gotten the amendment to the floor. Today, however, after three straight days of BigGovernment.com’s video exposés of ACORN offices in Washington DC, New York City, and Baltimore offering assistance to pimping, tax evasion, and trafficking in underage Salvadorean girls, Johanns not only got his vote — but he got an impressive bipartisan showing. The Senate passed the Johanns amendment 83-7.

The seven Senators supporting ACORN:

Dick Durbin (D-IL)
Roland Burris (D-IL)
Robert Casey (D-PA)
Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
Patrick Leahy (D-VT)
Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)

Jan Schakowsky Talks Single Payer Health! No, Really.

I #$%^ing hate bridesmaids dresses. Total waste of my hard-earned money, even if—or especially if—they’re purchased from usually reliable purveyors of good taste like Vera Wang or Neiman Marcus. Bridesmaids dresses have inspired bad movies and good websites, because frankly, their only upside is that they offer comic relief.
Now, being Progressive, I’ve seen some bridesmaids’ dresses of truly spectacular multicolored #$%^itude. Weddings below the Mason-Dixon are a festival of the tacky and tricked-out. Lime! Fuschia! Ruffles! Picture hats! Butt bows! We could spend hours unpacking the psychological baggage of a woman who makes her allegedly dearest friends wear such hideousness. Then New York weddings introduced me to the previously unimagined: black bridesmaid dresses. The only time you’d wear black to a Progressive wedding is if you’d #$%^-ed the groom and needed a passive-aggressive way to show your sorrow that he’s off the market (so be forewarned—if any of you show up to my wedding in black, I will make assumptions). I realize that little black dresses are practically a religious obligation for Tea-Baggers, and black bridesmaids dresses can probably be recycled more easily, but come on, ladies! I don’t care how chic/flattering/slimming black is, it’s not a joyful color, and weddings are joyful occasions. Save the black for my funeral, or at least for my divorce party.

A good bridesmaid dress is practically an oxymoron, but I’ve had them. And needless to say, I’ve had bad ones too. For your reading pleasure, I’ve culled the tops in each category for this rant. Feel my pain, won’t you?

This exerpt from how I hear Jan Schakowsky is accurate in spirit if not lifted from a site about fashion. This makes more sense than the Congress-critter Her OWN Bad Mannered Self and much more sense than Dithering Dick Durbin. It is tough being a Democrat with these mopes out there.
