Sun Times Also Endorses Governor "I'm Not in Charge!" Jeanne Ives Must be Surging!

Image result for Ives v. Rauner

As we say, had Ives not entered the race, we might have had a tough time endorsing Rauner. With a handful of exceptions, we believe he has been a failure as governor, and he has only himself to blame. He promised what he could not deliver. Sun Times Endorsement of Bruce Rauner

"This is a pivotal, once-in-a-generation election where you can change the trajectory of this state. But trust me, it’s either, we’re going all in for a taxpayer revolution, or you’re going to see the slow going-out-of-business sale here in the state of Illinois.” Jeanne Ives in  Bureau County News

Don't that make your blue eyes brown, Bruce?

Both Chicago papers endorsed the Cook County oligarchy's place-holder Governor Bruce Rauner.

Jeanne Ives, according to the Sun Times editorial board geniuses, is not 'compassionate' and her supporters are bully voters. Identity politics is stuck on stupid and the news media will not move the information dial to the facts.

Cadre demographics keeps the ink wet, but does not do much to level the playing field for people who work for a living, or all races, creeds and inclinations.

Both Chicago dailies follow the 2016 Presidential playbook of editorial broad brushing and fear-mongering that helped sweep Donald J. Trump into the White House.

It is very clear that Jeanne Ives scares the bejabbers out of the comfortable Cook County oligarchs who continue to chase the middle class and the well-to-do out of Illinois.

With both Chicago rags endorsing Bruce Rauner, Jeanne Ives should have no problem silencing low-information outlets with plain speaking and turning Jeanne Ives converts into missionaries.

I applaud both the Tribune and the Sun Times for their help in ridding Illinois of One -Term Rauner on March 20th and poising Jeanne Ives against JB Pritzker in November.

Only Way to Stop Giving Pritzker the Governor is The Skinny Blonde

Six Dems and only one allowable pick: not the Kennedy, not the Doc, not the Ganger-banger Alumnus, not the Progressive Boy Toy and not Pension Heavy Dude from Marine, IL.

Nope, the only Democrat that 'sane, pot-smart, never-Trumping, Rahm-friendly and comfortable P-Hat voters' may cast a ballot for is Michigan Avenue Fats - J.B. Pritzker the Trump-thumping billionaire who is more of a Regular Joe and than Old Bruce, in the same way that Charlie Foster Kane was no Boss Gettys.

Mark Brown pooh-poohed the five ( as too many to debate Carol Marin) , only weeks after he took a huge, hairy dump on Chris Kennedy's chances  with his ambush piece; now, along with the always dependable Eric Zorn, charge Chris Kennedy with being a Rauner cheerleader.  The oligarchs have bull-dozed  an extra wide path to the Governor's door for J.B. Pritzker.   They'll adjust the that door in due time.

Nope, if a voter wants Rauner gone and knows that Pritzker will only double -down on Illinois miseries, the only choice, short of a cast-away protest vote,  is to take a ballot for Jeanne Ives and make damn sure it registers.

Yep, the skinny blonde girl for Governor.   Unless, of course, you are quite happy with way things are now.  And what is that gump staring at?

Race Between Chuy Garcia and Rahm Emanuel - Nothing to Do with Bill DeBlasio, or Bessie Warren

The Chicago Tribune, like WTTW, The Sun Times and the less lights on news and opinion,  wants, O so very badly, for you to believe that Chicago's mayoral election as anything to do with Bill De Blasio and Elizabeth 'Senator Squaw' Warren.

It don't.

This is an election that finds a traditional south side Catholic Democrat ( pre 1972 Vintage) siding with Ald. Ricardo Munoz, some of the membership of SEIU to get Jesus Chuy Garcia a seat behind the big desk on the 5th floor of City Hall.  Who'da thunk?

Chuy is a good guy and I don't care if he leans left from time to time.  That makes him a liberal Democrat.

Rahm represents the absolute worst of what has become of the  Democratic Party - an Orwellian swamp where only approved mandarins are allowed a place on a luxury tour boat.  Rahm is one of the chosen and protected - Progressives.  They are the class warriors who want the middle class gone, while mouthing fairness and equality platitudes.

I admire liberals.  I detest Progressives.

Here is what the IN THE TANK for RAHM media offers -

. . . Cook County Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia is framing the head-to-head showdown as part of an ideological fight for the soul of the Democratic Party. That narrative seeks to portray the candidacy of Garcia as another chapter in the same uprising of liberal progressives who take inspiration from the victories of Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. A similar dynamic is playing out as former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton preps an establishment Democratic presidential run and some in the party's left wing hope for an alternative.

Really?  Hardly, Sisters.  Chuy Garcia will define his own narrative.   Here is what he actually said,  "I'm optimistic that (Tuesday's) win will bring additional resources and talent to the campaign,"  . . .. I'm pretty sure that will happen, but I also hope that the Chicago debate about cities and the urban agenda will also resonate nationally, so that when both parties convene next year at their conventions, they can address specifically the plight of cities."

Nothing about Bessie Warren or Goofball Bill.

Neighborhood values, as opposed to small size, micro-smart out sourced red lights and bike lanes for transient hipsters.  The Big money backs Progressive Rahm

The smart neighbors back Chuy Garcia.

On Religious Liberty - Straight Talk from an American Leader. No, it is not President Obama.

Timothy Cardinal Dolan - An American Leader

NBC's David Gregory

After Easter Mass, I caught Archbishop Designate Lori of Baltimore on Meet the Press.

NBC jumped the smelt years ago, I know, but watching it for thoughtful news and commentary is like going to a strip club to pray for chastity and pure thoughts. . . which I have done in my salad says, God forgive me.

David Gregory is an especially adept pole dancer, greased with unctions of group thought. He also reminds me of Whitey Whitney, one of Beaver Cleaver's pals from the old Leave it to Beaver show. Whitey always seemed to have fifty-three teeth in his yaper; likewise, David Gregory.

Yesterday, Whitey Gregory interrupted Archbishop Designate William Lori, when the Baltimore prelate argued that Obama's HHS Mandate is but one in series of attempts to restrict religious liberty.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan presented the facts and the context with simple human clarity.

Over at the equally gamed-up CBS Cardinal Dolan held the aging hack at bay.

“Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/04/08/archbishop-of-new-york-obama-contraception-mandate-a-dramatic-radical-intrusion/#ixzz1rXuuolqs

In ink, it is still very straight talk from a leader.

Dolan explained to “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer that, although he is concerned about getting “too involved in politics,” the reason he is at odds with President Barack Obama’s White House isn’t his own doing.

“I do worry about that, Bob,” Dolan said. “And this is a good place for me to remind everybody, we didn’t ask for this fight. I don’t enjoy it at all. I wish I was out here on ‘Face the Nation’ answering other questions and you probably do too. We didn’t ask for the fight, but we are not going to back away from it. . . . What I say is this — yeah, I don’t think religion should be too involved in politics,” Dolan continued. “But I also don’t think the government and politics should be overly involved in the Church, and that is our problem here. You’ve got a dramatic, radical intrusion of a government bureaucracy into the internal life of the Church. That bothers me. So, hear me say, hey I would like to back away from this. I’ve got other things to worry about and bigger fish to fry than this. Our problem is the government is intruding into the life of faith and into the Church that they shouldn’t be doing. That is our read on this.”

Now, that, boys and girls, is soaring rhetoric, I believe in.

Whitey, Gilbert and Larry Mondello, ( NBC, CBS, CNN) have Beav's back always. President Barack Obama is the Beaver.

Whitey Whitney:

He’s a diminutive slip of a boy with a high nasal voice and hair that just might have turned blond-white from nervousness. . . .Whitey can be a pretty crafty conniver, and he will always be remembered as the wise guy who got Beaver to climb up onto the soup billboard.
