Gettleman and G. (Gimme) Flint Taylor Worked Together Before!

Cop Bashing U.S. District Judge Gettleman and G. ( Gator or Gimme, or Gimme Gator!) Flint Taylor collaborated across the Fed bench and gave big dough to Taylor and some to the murderers of Chicago Police Officers O'Brien and Fahey - The much (allegedly)abused Wilson Brothers, in 1997. Together Again!

G. Flint Taylor is the Cockroach Cadillac Commie Counsel for Criminals and Judge Gettleman is the U.S District Court Judge who slapped Police Superintendent Jody Weis with a contempt of court citation and a caveat that Weis give up the names and addresses of Chicago Police Officers to the Gang-Bangers, Inc. of Chicago's Best Buddy - G. ( GD) Flint Taylor.

Now, Hush now. I am about whisper the name of the Author of the following piece from 1997. IT'S JOHN CONROY! The guy the Progressives burn incense to, but can't get his own head around the fact that G. Flint Taylor can not close the deal on Burge and that Chicago Reader can't afford to pay any more. It appears that G ( Gimme) Flint Taylor gets with Gettleman:

The breakdown in payment ordered by Judge Gettleman is as follows: The city is to pay $900,016 to Wilson's lawyers—Flint Taylor, Jeffrey Haas, and John Stainthorp of the People's Law Office. An additional $100,000, earmarked for Wilson, is to be paid directly to the widow and two children of William Fahey, who are identified in court documents as "judgment creditors" of Andrew Wilson. The Fahey family won a wrongful death suit against Wilson years ago, and thereby ensured that they could garnish any money awarded him in his civil rights suit against Commander Burge, his comrades, and the city.

The city's lawyers have agreed to abide by half of the judge's order. They have not appealed the judgment that the city was responsible for the misdeeds of policemen who were aware of brutality and did not stop it or get proper medical attention for Wilson. For their inattention to duty, the city has already issued checks to the Fahey family for $50,448 and to the People's Law Office for $504,749. The city's lawyers deny, however, that taxpayers should pay for the misdeeds of policemen when they apply electric shock to suspects. The corporation counsel is appealing that portion of the Gettleman judgment in the U.S. Court of Appeals.

G.(Gimme) Flint Taylor's GOT the Media! He's GOT every murdering thug between the Mississippi and the Atlantic! He's GOT Gettleman - it seems he's had Gettleman.

Gee - its in the news.

Second City Cop Explains Chicago's Thug Comfort Zone Murder of Three More Kids

What Boiled Beets Loving Progressives answer by rote: Question -Global Warming? - 'Oh Yeah-ass! Capitalism and herds of cattle for carnivores who order racist cops to shoot monkeys and draw cartoons of them, have been the only real cause for Global Warming! Look outside! Oh, never mind. Anomaly. It's Sunday - you know 'Go the Fitness Center Day! Keep Holy My Self-Worship and all! Buh, Bye!'

Wait, a second there Seth got another Head-Scratcher for you -

Thug Comfort Zone* ? 'Well that is easy enough; You know, if you watch Channel 11 and listen to NPR - we have been mobilizing and marching and we are convinced that Police brutality and systemic racism is the only real cause for black on black homicide jumps and the Grassroot solution can only be to make sure all of you fat, worker bees. . . and your fat wives . . .and your three to six kids in Catholic schools, give many more millions of tax dollars to our approved cadre of scam artists, gang-friendly activists and lawyers. Gotta go! Pilates.'

Now there goes a Champ! I'll bet that he is genuinely 'excited' about watching the Oscars. No doubt.

Ask a police officer and you might get the level headed and genuine 'Speak Truth to Stupidity in Power' answer that Second City Cop gives for the death of three CPS students on Friday.

In any case, the shooting in 004 took place at a most opportune time (opportune for the shooters that is):

Paramedics were called to an alley near East 87th Street and South Escanaba Avenue about 3:15 p.m. for reports of a shooting...
School dismissal coinciding with shift change. You think these jagoffs don't know our schedules as well as we do? This wasn't just any random shooting. According to witnesses, it was building up with idiots throwing up signs for a bit before escalating. And once it all stepped off, the three "victims" were hunted down with ruthless efficiency in alleys and gangways. (Emphasis my own)

All the family denials aside about junior just "turning his life around" after getting out of jail two days prior, this was gang banging, pure and simple. And as it's already March, there are no classes in the Academy, retirements are proceeding ahead of estimates and will increase markedly if a contract is approved, don't look for any reinforcements anytime soon.

The idiots will keep sucking on the Boiled Beet Borscht. Citizens will quit buying news papers that play ball with the idiots. Thanks Second City Cop and thank you all Law Enforcement heroes.

Sun Times Gets it Right - After Playing the Lefty Fool for Years

Ray Coffey should be the Standard for News writers and those who would call themselves Journalists. Ray's departure from the Chicago Sun Times was the starting gun for that paper's 90 degree plunge in credibility and honor. There might yet be hope for the Sun Times.

The Sun Times offered a sober look at the value of newspapers in yesterday's commentary.

No army of bloggers, no TV or radio station, no nonprofit journalism collective, no foundation-supported task force of political and government reporters will ever do the job so well.

The first Sun-Times exclusive hit the front page on Sunday: "Blago hit up Burris for cash." The reporters were Natasha Korecki, who covers the federal courts for the Sun-Times, and Dave McKinney, our Springfield bureau chief.

The real significance of that story was not that the brother of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich had asked Sen. Roland Burris for a sizable campaign contribution shortly before Blagojevich appointed Burris to Barack Obama's former Senate seat. No surprise there. That would be Blago's style.

The real story was that Burris had stated earlier in a Jan. 5 affidavit that he had talked to no one in the Blagojevich camp, and he had testified three days later at Blagojevich's impeachment trial that he had talked to just one person. More troubling, he never said a word about talk of money.

The real story, that is to say, is that Burris looks like a liar.

We know. That was why we quit buying the rag that bore the name - Sun Times. There are great newspaper people who have been chained to the oars of the Sun Times Sinking Ship Review for the last few years: Tim Novak, Steve Huntley, Dave McKinney, Natasha Korecki, and Kate Grossman. God love them. Tim Novak was like the Man in the Iron Mask during the last days of the Presidential Campaign. Maybe now, he can be let off the leash.

While the Sun Times has played at being a Revolutionary Organ committed to The Great Patriotic Proletarian Progress Paradee by Cheryl Reed, readers in my neighborhood and others in Chicago have pocketed the two-bit pieces.

My neighborhood, where crime happens due to the Thug Comfort Zone* that Sun Times helped create, has been insulted and caste as some kind of Third Reich Sculpture. The dampness on our backs is not rain or sweat but the dewy offerings of lazy writers and pop-eyed Advocacy nuts drawing pay from the Sun Times.

I was happy to see that the CEO and the publisher have taken their Golden Parachutes out of town.

Newspapers are essential to free Republic. Perhaps, the Sun Times will become one once again - now that the Jacobin Hat and Cap and Bells have been hung up on the hook.

Vultures Meet Mrs. Nancy Kelly of Cook County Sheriff's Police

An Old Irish Song talks about a heroic woman - Gráinne Mhaol ( Grace O'Malley.

A bhuí le Rí na bhFeart go bhfeiceam,
mura mbeam beo ina dhiaidh ach seachtain,

May it please the God of Miracles that we may see,
Although we only live a week after it,

Nancy Kelly routed three urban commandos, who attempted to rob her of her purse. The Vultures, are 'crimes of opportunity' specialists who commit crimes of violence and property crimes due to PC nonsense and because they feel entitled to do so. These Vultures flourish in the political climate that I like to call the Thug Comfort Zone.

These goofs picked the wrong woman.

They took a quick look at her, a grandmother of three, and probably thought, "easy target."

What the suspected thieves didn't know was that their target was a tough, ready-to-rumble Cook County sheriff's police sergeant.

So when Nancy Kelly, 61, suspected that Karen Cannon swiped her wallet at an Oak Lawn Panera Bread restaurant Friday evening, Kelly confronted the woman nearly half her age with her fists and some hair-pulling.

"I grabbed her by the collar from the back and spun her around," said Kelly, who works at court services at the Criminal Courts Building in Chicago. "I told her, 'You picked the wrong person today. I'm a sheriff's officer. Give me my wallet now.' "

Heart warming and good for the heart as well!

Oak Lawn police arrived at the scene after Kelly directed her friend, schoolteacher Carolyn Nissen, to call 911. Cannon and Anthony had fled with a third woman, Joyce McClellan, 35, in a Mercury Sable, shortly before police arrived, according to Michael Kaufmann, Oak Lawn's chief of detectives. But Nissen and another woman saw the car's license plate, and it was soon caught, Kelly said.

Dumas, held down by onlookers, was apprehended on the scene, Kaufmann said. The four suspects, all from Chicago, were charged with robbery.

Kaufmann said it appeared that the four were involved in more robberies - pointing to an ID for an 86-year-old woman who was pick-pocketed outside the Panera last Thursday and five purses that officers found in Cannon's purse and the getaway vehicle.

"They were vultures, and they were waiting for their victims. They picked the wrong victim (Friday)," Kaufmann said.

Kelly and Nissen did get to eat their sandwiches. But Kelly's adrenaline still flowed.

"I think my blood pressure was up a little. I went home and cleaned my condo in 10 minutes," she said.

Thank you , Nancy Kelly!

May it please the God of Miracles that we may see ( a deed of courage like yours), Although we only live a week after it

Locke Bowman Hearts Burge - Woos Madigan: Torture Gets a Dewey Treatment by U of C Buzz-cut Commies!

Buzz-cut Commies live off of Tax-Free Non-Profits (501(c)3)power drippings from the endowments of Huge corporate trusts. That way they can make a substantial profit for themselves through lawsuits directed at tax built and generated institutions (City of Chicago-especially Police) and bank a modest five to six figure salary from the Center established by the Trust: like the MacArthur Center for Justice. Work within the System to Bring It Down! Boom! Eat the Rich and Become One!

The MacArthur Center for Justice took a long hard swing at the Cook County Sheriff's Office under Michael Sheehan back in the 1990's and whiffed badly. The MacArthur Gang attempted to 'prove beyond a reasonable doubt' that 'systemic racism' caused prisoners held for monstrously violent crimes in Cook County Jail were being 'tortured' by evil white, close-knit ethnic, politically connected Neo Nazis.

The Love Bunnies and Humanitarian Huggie Bears incarcerated for murders and mayhem in Cook County Detention Center's Violent Crimes Wing were 'not' being encouraged to riot by lawyers from the MacArthur Center for Justice - thus, eliciting a strong response from Corrections Officers - Mercy Sakes and Jane Addams's Girlfriend NO!

They were victims of systemic racism. However, it took a mere twenty minutes for a jury to toss the allegations against Sheriff Sheehan and send MacArthur Center for Justice back to G. Flint Taylor - The Woody Hayes of Police Abuse Lawsuits - for chalk talks.

Locke Bowman is one of the Super Lawyers who Keep Torture Alive in Chicago's Laughing Stock Media.

Locke Bowman and the other Buzz Cut Commies have been eclipsed by Obama-Euphoria, a Barney Frank Bail-out Giveaway of the Mortgage Ponzi Scam, some pretty cold weather, Bears Reprieve in the NFL, and a general understanding by tax-payers that MacArthur Center for Justice does more to create Thug Comfort Zones in Chicago ( The Murder Bar is 500 and No one meets a Challenge like a Chicago Thug!)than Burge could have done with the Hermann Goring Division.

Systemic is a leftist term developed to employ a biological conceit in order to advance an agenda that is artificial. Biology deals with Nature. Lefties stretch like Gumbis to try and make a point.

That is because University of Chicago's Jon Dewey is Baby Daddy of American Leftism.

Dig it! You see, John Dewey, made inquiry the essence of logic - not Truth or Knowledge, according to Bertrand Russell in his History of Western Philosophy. Dewey, the Father of Modern American Public School Education (A Peach of a Job there Johnny Boy!), argued that 'Universal Wholes' are to be the outcome of inquiry. Russell points out that Dewey's love of 'Organic Wholes' stemmed from his love of biology and the goofy philosophy of Hegel ( Dialectical Materialism -Class/State Warfare as Truth). Russell goes on to say that,'Dewey's World is one in which human beings occupy the imagination and the cosmos and all that goes with it is an adjunct. Thus, Al Gore's Global Warming is an Insistence Verity despite the fact that it is and has been 25 degrees below zero ( with the wind chill) here in America since last week. If WE - the Dewey-ite Progressives say there is Systemic Torture, or Global Warming, or Fois Gras Genocide brought on by Industry, then there, By Jane Addams's Whiskers, is Global Warming & etc.! Inquiry is Truth! Keep Inquiry Alive! Inquiry is Hope! Hope Floats and MacArthur 501 (c)3 Money Keeps a Coming!

So, here is a Locke Bowman in today's Sun Times - Lefties always have cool names - taking on Attorney General Madigan for doing exactly what the Attorney General is supposed to do.

Madigan's effort is opposed by Locke Bowman, legal director of the MacArthur Justice Center at Northwestern University Law School and the lawyer for an inmate who has been granted a hearing on a torture claim. Bowman said one prosecutor should have responsibility for all of the cases and that the issue in all of the cases -- whether convictions based on torture should be allowed to stand -- should be addressed.

"Madigan's attempt to offload some of the cases is a tacit admission that she doesn't have the stomach to get to the heart of the matter," Bowman said in an e-mail. "In many cases, she has resisted hearings on legal technicalities, arguing that torture victims waited too long to present their torture claims or that the claims were barred by earlier decisions" against the inmates that came when much of the Burge scandal still hadn't come out.

"She has failed to come to grips with the need for a fair, systemic approach to resolve these cases," Bowman said. "It is unacceptable in any society of human beings to allow some 25 men to languish in prison following convictions that rest on tortured confessions. Lisa Madigan has the opportunity to right this wrong. If she continues to dodge that legal and moral responsibility, she risks permanent damage to her reputation as a reform-minded official."

To add weight to the INQUIRY - the Sun Times added a touch of John Conroy to the gravitas of Maurice Possely. John Conroy's schtick is Police Torture and lost his paycheck at Chicago Reader some time this last summer. The Sun Times is acting like a journalistic Branson, MO giving Conroy this by-line co-pilot seat.

Lisa Madigan explained the truth of the shift in respnsibilities with regard to Torture Investigations by the Attorney General's Office: ( N.B. - Dewey Progressivism and Education is all about Inquiry - Truth is whatever the conclusion reached by the initiated inquiry happens to be):

Cara Smith, Madigan's deputy chief of staff, called Bowman's allegations "unfounded, grossly misleading and misdirected. . . . Unfortunately, Mr. Bowman chooses to level harsh criticisms at the very office who has worked diligently in pursuit of justice in the cases we've been assigned, and we will continue to do so.

"In every one of the Burge cases that has been assigned to us, we have worked diligently with the facts and the law with the goal of seeking justice," Smith said. "Because the conflict that brought these cases to us no longer exists, we thought it appropriate to request they be put back where they began, which is in the Cook County state's attorney's office."

The motion to transfer the five cases comes weeks after Burge was indicted on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice based on his denial of torture during testimony under oath in a civil case. Burge's trial has been set for next May.

Locke Bowman, a Buzz-cut Commie and Deweyite, but a Super Lawyer, depends upon Inquiry. Without Inquiry; no income!

Black/White; Beverly Beatdowns;Burge and Bullshit in Chicago Media

Black on White crime happens all the time. The official excuse for it by City Officials and Chicago Media is 'Crime of opportunity' never a race crime, or Roger Baldwin forbid, a Hate Crime.

Two men face burglary charges after they allegedly broke into a retired police sergeant's home in Chicago's Mount Greenwood community. The former officer fired a gunshot at the men but no one was injured.

Kenneth Adams, 26, of Chicago, and Matthew Brown, 21, of Blue Island, were arrested a short time after the burglary Wednesday, police said.

Matthew Brown, of Blue Island, (left) and Kenneth Adams, of Chicago, are accused of breaking into a retired police sergeant's home in Chicago's Mount Greenwood community.

Adams was charged with one count of burglary and one count of aggravated assault. Brown was charged with one count of burglary, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said.

They were arrested about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday near 111th Street and Kedzie Avenue, a few blocks from where the burglary happened, police said. ( Emphasis My Own)

After the two suspects got inside, the retired sergeant, in his 50s, fired a shot at them, but no one was injured.

http://www.southtownstar.com/neighborhoodstar/evergreenpark/1314252,greenwood-burglary-1204.article

With our Chicago News Talkers and ink-slingers the cop-out is always 'the underlying economic realities' . . .and a call for Racial Healing - meaning 'shut the #$%^ up Whitey' is the answer.

I have black neighbors and they moved here to Morgan Park to get away from the Free Fire Zone of Englewood and Grand Crossing. Their little guys play sewer cover baseball with the Conways, Radowicz's, Murphys, and Beemsterbohrs kids. They go to Clissold and St. Cajetans. We are neighbors.

The black Thugs coming into our neighborhood are from elsewhere in Chicago and the south suburbs; but that is not deemed news worthy by the Chicago Media, nor a topic for Fifty Aldermen who appoint Blue Ribbon panels to study Goose Liver and end America's involvement in Iraq, while dancing out of Prosecutor Fitzy's Spotlight. Fitzy is doing a solid for the Alderman - he is going to nail Burge on some BS charge of perjury. It is something - not a public execution of Burge, but something.

Black on white crime happens because it can. Last year two white kids were horrifically murdered in Knoxville, TN - no big deal:

E. G. Christopher Newsom and Channon Christian:

According to news reports, Christian and Newsom had gone on a date at a local restaurant on Saturday, January 6, 2007, but did not return home. During their night out, the couple was "hijacked, bound and blindfolded and taken back to Lemaricus Devall 'Slim' Davidson's rented house on Chipman Street."[4]

Christian's parents found her abandoned Toyota 4-Runner two blocks away from the Chipman Street house the following Monday with the help of her mobile phone provider. An envelope recovered from the vehicle yielded fingerprint evidence that led police to Lemaricus Davidson and 2316 Chipman Street. When police went to the address on Tuesday, January 9, they found the home unoccupied and Christian's body in a trash can in the kitchen.

According to the testimony of the Knox County Acting Medical Examiner at the subsequent trial of Eric Boyd, Newsom was repeatedly raped and then blindfolded, gagged, arms and feet bound and his head covered. Barefoot, he was either led or dragged outside the house to a set of nearby railroad tracks, where a gun was placed to the back of his head and fired. He was shot twice more, once in the neck and once in the back. His body was then set afire. Christian's death would come only after hours of sexual torture, medical examiner Mileusnic-Polchan testified. Christian suffered horrific injuries to her vagina, anus and mouth. She was not only raped but savaged with "an object," the doctor testified. She was beaten in the head. Some type of chemical was poured down her throat, and her body, including her bleeding and battered genital area, likely scrubbed with the same solution - all while Christian was alive, the forensic expert said. She was then "hog-tied," with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered tightly with a small trash bag and her body stashed inside five large trash bags before being placed inside a large trash can and covered with sheets. Christian died slowly, suffocating, the medical examiner said.[5]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Channon_Christian_and_Christopher_Newsom

The reaction by a 'Commentator' - "as bad as this crime is, the apparent absence of any interest group involvement or any other 'angle' might also explain the lack of coverage."

It's all good!

The News Media gets its Burge on every week with a 'chilling' replay of G. Flint Taylor's patented account of what might have happened in Area 2 to the criminal victims that Taylor represents.

The fact of the matter is that Jon Burge has never once been brought to trial on any evidence of 'systemic racist torture,' let alone convicted of any crime. But with the constant and emphatic attention to the G. Flint Taylor Playbook, the Chicago Media has made Jon Burge the poster boy of racism and by extension every Chicago Police Officer -black, white, pale, ruddy or olive complexioned.

I have no idea whether or not Jon Burge tortured anyone. I find it particularly unsettling that every news account, be it Sasha Abramsky's Mother Jones article or Carol Marin's Wal-Mart version, of the torture saga includes G. Flint Taylor's electric shock box/testicle machine that he had built to 'please the court' of what 'might' have happened. The end -'undermining any and all confidence in the American Justice System' by GETTING BURGE - justifies the means - 'everything G.Flint and the Media can toss at Burge with the help of dodgy politicians.

However, black on white crime is happening and it is not being addressed at all.

Crimes against the people who happen to be white in the 19th Ward of Chicago are ignored and mocked by the Chicago Media. No columnist, nor editorial board, has ever, nor ever will do so it seems, seriously address this social phenomenon.

Race Matters. It spikes real estate activity.

Philly Lawyer/Journalist Honors Cops - Christine M. Flowers! Chicago Lawyers and News Hacks Sully Cops - How About a Switch, Philly?

There must be something to that idea of a parallel universe. Here in Chicago, citizens are treated to a daily litany of calumnies and charges against the very women and men who put their lives on the line to protect and serve.

The Chicago Sun Times ( and its satellite papers of STNG) and the Chicago Tribune shoo their reporters to The Center for Wrongful Convictions, the MacArthur Center for Justice and the Peoples Law Office for cookie -cutter feel good stories that uplift the hearts of people who live far,far from crime and those who commit the most heinous offenses.

The Path to the Pulitzer is assured by Trust Funded Think Tank Lawyers and 1960's Radicals with law licenses ( they actually did less harm to American society with bombs and bottles back in the day) committed to undermining any and all confidence in the Justice System.

However, in Philadelphia a lawyer and a journalist, Christine M. Flowers, has written many columns in defence of police officers and common sense. Today, Ms. Flowers offers a tribute to four police officers killed in the line of duty since May 2008 - this is Phildelphia's bloodiest year for Law Enforcement personnel since 1996.

In the City of Brotherly Love and where G. Flint Taylor screamed Free Mumia - a convicted cop killer and Boutique Bolshevik hero, Christine Flowers - did I mention that she was both a lawyer and journalist?- puts the human face on the victims of murder who happen to be Police Officers.

2008 has been the most dangerous year for Philadelphia officers since 1996, when four were killed. A prayer to Michael the Archangel, patron of police, that we don't break the record.

And even though each death is different, some brutal assassinations, others reckless accidents, the effect is the same: overwhelming grief, followed by uncontained anger.

And it's a different sort of anger from when civilians die.

Yes, it's an ugly aspect of nature that innocent children should be caught in a drug cross-fire on their way to school.

It pierces the heart when elderly women are raped in their bedrooms by teen intruders, when retired army vets are bludgeoned to death in their living rooms, when young mothers are murdered by the fathers of their babies.

IT'S A MISERABLE world in which such things not only happen but become commonplace. And Philadelphia is a part of that world.

But there's something surpassingly sad when you see men and women grouped at the entrance of a hospital, tears in their eyes for a stricken comrade. The grief that accompanies the coffin of a fallen officer is unlike any other because the occupant of that coffin met death on our behalf.

And the symbolism of a rider-less horse following close behind reminds us that - for a moment at least - the city is defenseless.

Of course, that's only a brief illusion. For every officer who falls in the line of duty there are hundreds more ready to take his or her place in the thin blue line. While no one can replace the one who has been taken, the obligation is picked up by brothers and sisters, an unbroken continuum of faith and service.

We saw it with Timothy Simpson. Stephen Liczbinski's friend took the murdered officer's handcuffs and placed them on his accused assassin's wrist when he was apprehended back in May. Simpson honored that debt. Now, tragically, he and Liczbinski are together again.

Some people complain about the attention given when an officer is slain.

Some judges think we should not elevate their deaths above "the rest of us," those without the bulletproof vests and the shields. Some citizens think that color excuses criminality, or that poverty is an explanation for antisocial behavior, or that grief is misplaced for those who willingly enter a dangerous profession.

These sentiments are heard in the streets, seen in the courtrooms, read on the letters page.

But they are wrong. Decent people understand it. The rest are irrelevant.

Four officers won't see the New Year. Four men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice for a city and a system that often seems to care more about rehabilitating criminals than honoring heroes.

And still, they keep answering the call.

No greater love. *

Christine M. Flowers is a lawyer.
Ms. Flowers writes for the Philadelphia Daily News.

In the City of Big Shoulders and Pencil-Neck Media Stooges, who get spoon fed their investigative work into 'systemic racism, brutality and corruption'sagas by the very lawyers making millions of dollars out of lawsuits against the City of Chicago, police officers are fair game and objects of continual scorn and ridicule - Neil Steinberg went so far as to smear a whole neighborhood that is home to hundreds of the men and women who protect Neil Steinberg before he gets on the Metra to his lily white suburb, as a Nazi enclave.

I'd trade a fistful of cop-hating Media stooges for one Christine M. Flowers.

Chicago land Braces for Burge Blizzard!

Expect non-stop ‘all Burge all the time’ from the hard hitting cadre of investigative journalists and opinion slingers.

TV News Nitwits will adjust the odd comb-over and honey-do tresses and get all steely eyed.

Remember Millionaire Lefty Lawyer G. Flint Taylor (long time pal of Billy Ayers they go WAAAAY back!) brokered this Burge Story. He was last heard from while being sued by Urban Translator and Repentant Gang-banger Emeritus Wallace Gator Bradley, late of the Queen’s Own Gangster Disciples. G. Flint will no doubt want his cut, Tribune and STNG. He had to wrestle the Gator to keep his Burge Boodle!

Our own home grown newshounds could not pick up on the fact that Paul Vallas might have been a great person to call regarding Obama/Ayers Annenberg Playtime. It took a New York Post story to awaken the Nuanced Eric Zorn. They have awakened a sleeping Pygmy!

Here's the Deal:

1. No physical or corroborating evidence ever has been brought to bear in any number of attempts to bring Chicago Police Commander Jon Burge to trial

2. It seems to me that the media got on board of the bus driven entirely by radicals of Peoples Law Office, which succeeded in drawing in the national media back in the 1970's to discredit the FBI - G. Flint Taylor was that Boy Wonder and he brokered the media's love affair with this issue.

3. Four Mayors - Byrne, Washington, Orr, and Sawyer did nothing to spark inquiry into the issue

4. G. Flint Taylor and his cooperating witnesses - The Chicago Media - have orchestrated the case.

5. Okay, Fitzy! Let's see what you have.

6. I would not know Jon Burge if he walked on me. I do not know if he tortured anyone and neither did the Commission that spent 7 million dollars - that did not give Flint Taylor his money. Prove it Fitzy. I have yet to beimpressed with the Federal Prosecutor. I do know that the Chicago Media sees him as the poster boy for Justice and Jon Burge for all the evil and systemic racism that helps sell newspapers. They'll help you take Burge down, Fitzy! No worries there.

7. This trial is over as far as the media is concerned. Justice and the search for truth has nothing to do with it. Click my post title to get the perspective of the real victims in all this - The Police Officers.

Cook County Jail -Mike Quigley Feeding Fitzy MacArthur Leftovers?

The Uriah Heep of Cook County Politics, Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley gamely pumps his stumpy legs ever upward. Like Mark Twain's Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,* Cook County can count on Quigley to climb under any door jamb, if the height of the transom above the doors of power are inaccessible, to height and ethics challenge Mike, with the help of mighty clever friends in the think-tanks at University of Chicago to charge his gizzards with buck shot to see how low he can go. Whew, that prosing got me all winded.

Sheriff Tom Dart and The Cook County Jail took a 98 page study ( prepared, indexed, rolled and greased with warmed up left-overs from the Chicago Tribune Editorial Board, University of Chicago MacArthur Center for Justice, Chicago Magazine, and the usual assortment of lawsuit addicted lefty lawyers and, it seems Commissioner Quigley) from Federal Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald in the shorts this past week.

A few years back, The Chicago Tribune and the usual suspects listed above took a long sprint at Sheriff Michael Sheehan with a series of 'heart-tugging tales' from prisoners and diappointed Correctional Employees and had their efforts tossed by a jury in about twenty minutes.

The Tribune's 'investigative' efforts were laughed out of court by the jury and the lawyer most linked to the case against Sheehan was a nano-second away from charges of impropriety for tipping prison gangs about finding just the right time to riot and cry foul.

The Tribune, with Progressive aplomb tossed the saga into the memory hole.

Now, it sure seems to me that Mike 'I can not get a vote from anyone 300 yards west of Lake Michigan' Quigley has tossed the old MacArthur Center for Justice 'facts' on the front burner and re-heated the leftovers for Fitzy!

When the story broke - and it will break down as it did the last time -this week, my Quigley radar went on DefCon Six. Never disappointed in the wee man's energy and ambition, I was treated to Quigley popping up like the Whacka-Weasel that he is in the Tribune Editorial - Harrumphing that Cook County Jail is a dangerous and unhealthy place leading with the warmed up leftovers spooned to Fitzy:

• A federal judge has monitored the jail for a quarter-century, the result of a lawsuit aimed at overcrowding.

• In 2002 the Tribune reported that, since 1998, lawyers for the county sheriff's office had recommended settling at least 35 lawsuits that accused deputies of brutality; the lawyers cited convincing evidence that the beatings had occurred. In declining to endorse then-Sheriff Michael Sheahan for re-election in 2002, this page said: "Sheahan has to spend less time defending thuggery in his office and more time getting rid of it."

• In 2004, a special county grand jury lambasted county government's handling of a 1999 mass beating in which an elite squad of jail officers assaulted dozens of inmates.

And now this Justice report, delivered by U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald, along with a federal threat of legal action if inmates' constitutional rights aren't protected.

You don't have to wear your heart on your sleeve to see what Cook County's failed oversight has wrought: If the denial of basic dignity to prisoners for some reason doesn't bother you, the cost of damage payments to settle legal claims from inmates should.

If you live in Cook County, consider: County Board President Todd Stroger has surrendered control of the abusive and neglectful juvenile detention center. And now a supposedly independent board is taking control of the financially moribund county health system. Even the county's golf courses are performing better now that a private outfit manages them.

As county commissioner Michael Quigley argues, "What we do least we do best. Our Chicago Botanic Garden and Brookfield Zoo thrive because the county doesn't meddle."

Sheriff Tom Dart is in his second year of responsibility for the jail. He says the feds ignored the reforms he's instituted. Dart deserves a chance to finish what he's started.

If Dart doesn't succeed, Cook County should relinquish control of its jail too. Several states with populations smaller than Cook County's have prison systems run by independent boards of corrections.

But throwing more tax money at Cook County is a proven recipe for yesterday's failure at tomorrow's higher price.

It's time to fix jail management for good—or strip Cook County government of one more crucial job it has bungled for too many years.

There is not crack in government that Quigley will not use as bolt hole, or window of opportunity! The Uriah Heep of Cook County is nothing if not energetic. If one can not get elected, became a Progressive and allow litigation and 40 Watt Editorial Board Members do your heavy lifting.

Note to Patrick Fitzgerald:

Cook County Jail overflows with violently dangerous people who were put there at the request of the people of Cook County.

Mike Quigley has been working for ten years to be President of Cook County Board - sad in itself that.

Mike Quigley has massaged many of Chicago's lazier and dumber columnists at the Trib and Sun Times. If you plan to run for public office in Illinois, close on the the heels of this less than ground breaking slam at Sheriff Dart and the people who attempt to manage the thug thick Cook County Jail, Mike Quigley will be in the front of the line to stick one in your kidneys, it sure seems to me.

John McCain: Obama/Ayers Gets Chicago Media Cuffed

Chicago News Media get a trimming in an editorial from Editor and Publisher for its lazy fare treatment of the insulation a domestic terrorist and his wife have received from 'hard-hitting' investigative journalists.

I find it sweetly ironic that journalists who enjoy NPR hushed tones when named in the Media for being spoon fed salacious and dubious propaganda from a collection of radical leftist lawyers when slamming Chicago Police Officers for the better part of two years, no get a long-overdue ear pull from their own trade. For years, Chicago 'reporters' have taken direction from G. Flint Taylor, Jon Loevy and the University radical think tanks in helping create Chicago's murderous Thug Comfort Zone. Now, 'the chickens have come home to roost,' as one Chicago theological true man of genius once said.

Ayers' extremist past has "has never bothered anyone in Chicago," Chicago Sun-Times political columnist Lynn Sweet wrote after Obama was questioned about his relationship with Ayers in last week's debate with Hillary Clinton.

"That's why back in the day when Obama was starting his political career -- making a visit to the Ayers home while running for a state Senate seat, and then agreeing to being on panels with him and serve on a foundation board together -- it was no big deal, or any deal, to any local political reporters or to the editorial boards of the Sun-Times or Tribune," Sweet added.

And it's no big deal still to the Tribune editorial board, which has not endorsed a Democrat for president since 1872.

"Ah, we know Ayers too," a Tribune editorial said last week. "And his wife, Bernardine Dohrn. If you know people in Chicago academic circles, chances are you know Ayers and Dohrn. They have not been repentant about their days in the radical, anti-war movement in the 1960s and their time fleeing federal authorities. They should be. There is still time for them to be. But they have done good work in Chicago--Ayers at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dohrn at Northwestern University Law School's Children and Family Justice Center."

Ayers also was given the seal of approval by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, nobody's idea of a radical and someone who doesn't need a weatherman to know which way the political winds are blowing.

The Ayers episode is one reason "that Americans are angry about Washington politics," Daley said.

"One more example is the way Sen. Obama's opponents are playing guilt by association, tarring him because he happens to know Bill Ayers," Daley said in a statement issued last week.

Daley called Ayers "a valued member of the Chicago community" who is "worked with me in shaping our now nationally renowned school reform program."

Aid and comfort, aside from individual writers Steve Chapman Steve Huntley and the great John Kass, Chicago's print media has smiled and nodded and even approved of the nesting of two terrorists in Chicago.

The television media, which is particularly shrill and childish when tossing vitriol at Chicago Police Officers gets toasty warm over the terrorists snuggled in Chicago University blankets.

Chicago Police Take Down Wild Rodent - No, Not Flint Taylor!

Expect Media Outcry and Yuppies with Twisted Thong-Binders! Take the children out of viewing. Death Naked! Threat to Nuts Everywhere!

Special Tactical Response Units of the Chicago Police Department took down a very, very, large rodent. No it was not G. Flint Taylor, Jon Loevy, or any of the other Lawsuit Lotto Lawyers.

The Bushy Tailed Critter was big - huge, Man! Bigger than Chicago's Homicide Figures - thanks two metaphorical rodents like G. Flint Taylor, Jon Loevy and other Lawsuit Lotto Lawyers.

St. Xavier University will remain open despite the action.

Click my post title for more from Chicago's WildLife! Thanks again CPD! How do you women and men make it through a day with all the manure loaded on your backs? God Bless You!

The Whole Campus - Pulaski to St. Louis from 103rd to 99th is Closed Due to a Threat: Fear Trumps Faith?

What happens now?

Some nutbag made a threat - 'Be prepared to Die on 4/14.' St. Xavier University closed, followed in succession by Mother McAuley, Brother Rice, Queen of Martyrs and an Evergreen Park Public School.

We should all take threats seriously and respond in kind - be vigilant. Four men were shot at the Glass House Lounge on 79th & Halsted over the weekend. No threat, that happened. Leo High School is open today.

Two Leo graduates were murdered in November due to Chicago's Thug Comfort Zone. Thugs feel comfortable enough to murder without fear of consequence. Every year on the Friday just before Veterans Day, Leo High School Honors Veterans - men who lived every day of their young lives under fire. An Honor Guard of Marines fires volleys with M1 rifles and when they do so our young men often duck, because the sounds of gunfire are all too familiar in their neighborhoods. They smile and ceremony concludes with dignity.

To err on the side of caution is understandable. To completely change directions when threatened is capitulation. The bad guys, the goofs, the terrorists win. I went to two wakes over the weekend. We are all going to die. The longer we live, the sooner we die, as the old song goes. 'We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth and things, seen and unseen . . .' That is what we say at Catholic Mass every Sunday . . . well, most Sundays.

We believe that God has a plan for us and just maybe that plan includes an early trip to Sheehy's Funeral Home for us. We say that we believe this.

The Chicago Police Officers and the Evergreen Park Police Officers are on this threat. I wonder if we really, believe what we say. I have faith in the Police. I'm sending my daughter to school. I'll go to work at Leo. There will be eight or ten young guys waiting at the door of Leo on Sangamon Street, when I pull into the lot at 6:30 AM, only a short walk from where four men were shot at the Glass House on Halsted.

Those eight or ten young men have Faith and they will get instruction today at Leo. Thousands of young people from my much safer neighborhood will not. The person who called this retreat in the face of this threat seems to have more Faith in the words of the goof who wrote the threat, than in the words of Creed that we say by rote.

What the Hell do I know.

John McCain: Chicago Police Officers - Justice Has Your Backs!

Chicago Police Officers have been under assault by the very forces of radical thought in America that Senator Barack Obama wears over his shoulders like a good heavy top-coat out on the stump - well, there's stumps and there's stumps. As Senator Obama so clearly stated last week at the donor ( $2,500 a Butt Place) get-together in San Francisco last week, Cops, cling to your Faith and your weapons.

All summer long and through the fall of 2007, Chicago Police Officers, not the City of Chicago, came under an orchestration of strings, horns and percussion from the Chicago Sun Times News Group. It was an atonal Progressive Piece.

On July 10th, 2007 Sun Times editor Cheryl Reed issued her proclamation "we [the Chicago Sun-Times editorial page] are returning to our liberal, working-class roots, a position that pits us squarely opposite the Chicago Tribune—that Republican, George Bush-touting paper over on moneyed Michigan Avenue."

What followed was not a series of editorials or reports in support of hard-working, over-taxed, crime-victimized Chicago citizens, but what appeared to be a daily pogrom of Chicago Police Officers.

Radical Lawyers, University 501(c)3 Thinks Tanks, Street Reverends, Urban Translators,* convicted murderers, foolishly gutless elected officials and community activists publicly attempted to undermine any and all confidence in law enforcement by arguing that Chicago Police Officers, black,Hispanic, Asian and white were fundamentally brutal racists drunk on power - and other lubricants as well.

Radical lawyers, especially G.Flint Taylor ( Peoples Law Office) and Jon Loevy, had their coal shovelled for them by Cheryl Reed's Progressive Independent Voice of Chicago. Reed's catch-phrase 'Let's Get into It!' Challenged criminals violate the laws and safety of Chicago and its citizens and win a Lotto Lawsuit with Flint Taylor or Jon Loevy in the public eye.

During the Sun Times reign of terror, a Thug Comfort Zone was created in Chicago. Mary Mitchell. Frank Main, and Mark Brown voiced 'concerns' about Chicago's 'systemic racism and corruption.' Convicted murderers who had been pardoned by Governor Ryan sued the City of Chicago and nearly every day lawyers like Taylor and Loevy or radical think tanks from Northwestern University Law ( smeared by the continued tenure of convicted domestic terrorist and Obama friend Bernardine Dohrn) spokesmen Locke Bowman were given gallons of ink by the Chicago Sun Times to pillory the very women and men charged with 'keeping a lid' on Chicago's Homicide Roller Coaster.

Here are but ten of 185 such pieces that helped create Chicago's Thug Comfort Zone:

Over the same period from 2001 to 2006, at least six members of the citywide Special Operations Section robbed drug dealers and honest citizens alike, prosecutors say. Those...

Good God!

The dedicated men and women of Chicago Police Department continued to Serve and Protect under this most unwholesome reign of terror. Citizens died from violence and went completely ignored by the creators of the Thug Comfort Zone: two Leo High School graduates of the Class of 2004 Jason Riley Class Valedictorian and Golden Gloves Boxing Champion 2003 (125Lb. Division) was shot in the back by gang bangers at 69th & Justine in front of witnesses and received only coverage and outcry from the Chicago Tribune. Two weeks earlier, Steve Lyons, Leo 2004 Thompson Gold Medal Scholar, was murdered while studying at his desk in his grandmother's home by gang bangers. Neither, death provoked any artificial outcry from Mary Mitchell, Frank Main, Abdon Pallasch, Mark Brown or Cheryl Reed. No class for marches, no nothing, because their deaths could not result in a Lotto Lawsuit by Lefty Lawyers, or enrich any Urban Translator, or hand a microphone to University Think Tank loudmouths.

Cheryl Reed is gone. Chicago Sun Times is limping to an ignominious end. Chicago Police Officers still serve and protect.

Payback is a tall beautiful woman with her eyes covered and a nifty set of scales in her mitts. That babe is a knockout.

She may help get an unjustly accused and convicted Chicago Police Man out of an Iowa Prison.

She may help the Lyons and Riley families find justice against the people who created the Thug Comfort Zone that killed Jason and Steve.

Chicago Police officers may get help from this beautiful woman in November, when John McCain get elected to the Presidency.

This morning, as every morning I began my day with the women and men who keep me safe. I open to CPD Officers' only forum the great Blodsite Second City Cop. The Chicago Police Officers - not the command structure - seem to have better morale these days. They are getting a look at the crumbling structure, sadly around Obama's Campaign, of the foundation of the Thug Comfort Zone. The Babe with the scales has you backs Officers!

From today's Second City Cop:

Sen. Barack Obama was criticized Friday by his two fellow presidential candidates for statements he made recently at a San Francisco fundraiser that could be viewed as derogatory toward rural America.

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," Obama said Sunday, according to the Huffington Post web site.

"And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not," Obama reportedly continued. "It's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
"...cling to guns"? Isn't that a Right enshrined in the United States Constitution?

"...or religion"? Again, a Right. People are free to worship or not as they see fit. And if religion is the touchstone that helps them live their lives morally, ethically and properly, who is Obama to claim they are "bitter"? We wonder why Obama seems to "cling" to the Trinity Church where an obviously deranged "reverend" claims the CIA invented AIDS and 9/11 was deserved.

"...anti-immigrant"? How about "anti people breaking the laws of the United States to come here, drain the economy and demand protections due only to actual citizens of this country"? Everyone here today is descended from immigrants, but most of our ancestors did it properly.

Hillary is circling the drain, but the more Obama speaks, the more people realize he's nothing more than an old-time big-government liberal elite who's going to raise taxes, kowtow to special interests and pretty much destroy the economy by implementing gigantic social programs on a level unseen since the 1930's.

Barring a disaster, it's McCain in November.

*
It's clear that gang members and the justice system they sometimes encounter operate in different social spheres. You might even say that such (alleged) criminals speak a different language than judges and attorneys. That, at least, is a point of discussion in a Chicago courtroom.

Wallace "Gator" Bradley is currently acting as a "court interpreter" for a gang member suing the city because, he claims, police tortured confessions out of him. In a criminal trial, the Chicago Sun-Times reports, Aaron Patterson shouted in court, threatened his attorneys and attacked one of them.

To keep him calm in his current trial, Bradley is sitting at his table in court and helping him keep calm. Attorney Frank Avila made this argument in pressing the judge to accept the unusual arrangement: "Mr. Bradley and him come from a different subculture and they are familiar with each other's, let's say, emotional needs. So I'm using this analogy of having a translator in a different language. And I know that sounds kind of radical, but I think that's correct. And I think Mr. Bradley would be critical in communicating with my client."

Attorneys for the other side find this all highly irregular. "All of us were stunned when Patterson's attorney described Mr. Bradley as an urban translator," said Patricia Bobb, an attorney for a Cook County judge who is among those Patterson is suing.

Especially because he could be saving a bundle.

Ayers & Dohrn: Smug as a Bug in a Rug - Radical Down

I met a real rebel in 1974. Cornelius Enright, that was the name he went by, was a seventy something year old farm hand in County Kerry, Ireland.

As a young man, Con Enright fought the Black and Tans - the British Irregulars comprised of sociopaths and British Army misfits sent to terrorize the Irish during the Rebellion in the early 1920's. Mr. Enright belonged to one of 'The Flying Columns' commanded by Tom Barry and fought a guerrilla action through the mountains bordering Cork and Kerry.

When the British withdrew, Ireland went into Civil War - divide over whether or not to accept the Partition which created the Irish Free State in the southern counties and kept the Northern Ireland counties in the British Empire. Enright took the side of the rebels. He fought and was wounded in the City of Cork and imprisoned by his old comrades. Upon release, Enright continued to fight for a United Ireland.

In 1937, Enright went to Spain and fought for the loyalists against Franco. Was wounded and captured again and released, after a truce was declared. He was excommunicated from his Catholic Faith for siding with the Communists and had been a member of the British Communist Party.

In the late 1960's he returned to County Kerry and worked as a laborer on a cousin's farm outside of Brosna, County Kerry. He prayed the rosary every day, but never went to Mass. 'Once in - never out.' He was a cheerfully poor man. He was totally abstemious as far as alcohol and had been from childhood. He never took a drink in his life.

Then, there are the Chicago radical chic. Trust fund revolutionaries from the 1960's who played at revolution with real explosives and committed real crimes without the remote possibility of long-term harm to themselves or their wealth. Their Daddies, like Ayers' Pater used the long-arm and short pockets to see to that. Ayers grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago in a highly privileged family (his father, Thomas Ayers, was Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Edison) and attended Lake Forest Academy. Billy had the lawyers and the bankrolls to get them out of any high jinks and youthful indiscretions. Like These from Wikpedia:

According to Ayers' memoir Fugitive Days, he became radicalized at the University of Michigan. During his years there, he became involved in the New Left and the SDS.

Ayers went underground with several comrades including Brandy Diekman and Arion, after their co-conspirators' bomb accidentally exploded on March 6, 1970, destroying a Greenwich Village townhouse and killing three members of the Weather Underground (Ted Gold, Terry Robbins, and Diana Oughton, who was Ayers' girlfriend at the time). He and his colleagues invented identities and traveled continuously. They avoided the police and FBI while bombing high-profile government buildings—including the United States Capitol (two bombs on March 1, 1970), The Pentagon (May 19, 1972), and the Harry S Truman Building which houses the United States Department of State (on January 29, 1975)—along with several banks, police department headquarters and precincts, state and federal courthouses, and state prison administrative offices.[1][2] Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn raised two children, Zayd and Malik, underground before turning themselves in in 1981, when most charges were dropped because of prosecutorial misconduct during the long search for the fugitives.[

They had Chicago blue-stocking connections at the Universities; ink-clout with the Bohemian Dreams Media; seats on the Trust Fund Charitable Boards that have more power than any political machine. Talk about money laundering. Talk about nepotism! But Chicago's 'hard-hitting' investigative journalists have a huge red light in front of them where monied crumbs are concerned. Medill trained reporters and editors will not look into the clout babies of the Left. They will not look into the network of Radical lawyers who enrich themselves and create a Thug Comfort Zone in Chicago.
Hands Off! Basta Ya!

Dohrn and Ayers were trust funded into sinecures - almost like political no-show jobs at Chicago's universities. Chicago journalists are only interested in sitting outside a cop hangout to 'entrap' off-duty policemen.

Ayers and Dohrn are friendly with Barack Obama. He has to be friendly with opportunists like these two insulated phonies, because the teacup Revolutionaries who dominate Progressive Grassroots Lakefront, IVI, goofball politics, command that he do so. Barack Obama is no more tight with these too, than he is with Tony Rezko. He was pushed on these too by some Progressive dimbulb big shot- 'You MUST meet Bill and Bernardine they are soooo committed.' To themselves. Obama's problem is that he is not well served by his Campaign. A smart manager would have had him get way out in front on these two, instead of waiting for a dope like Hannity to shrill about them. These two are not worth it, but that's just me.

There is no way in hell that Barack Obama is joined at the hip with these too, faux freedom fighters. He met them and they gave to his campaign - pretty good metaphor at that - a husky $200. Bill spends that much on his tennis shoes. That shows the level of commitment these two phonies have toward anything that does not directly enrich or further insulate themselves. But that's just my opinion. All I know is what I read in the papers, which I mill through my experience - seeing what good people actually do for poor kids and meeting real Revolutionaries, like Con Enright.

John McCain: School Choice, or More of This? CPS Anti-Violence Meeting Erupts in Violence

Public Schools have eliminated values ( religious or civic) forsake of a pale Political Correctness: when you stand for nothing, expect the consequences.

Catholic, Protestant, Jewish Muslim, Independent schools have stated core values in the mission statements.

The ACLU and the political bosses of the Public School Lobbies have killed the educational immune systems in Public Schools. Where Faith, Patriotism, Civic Values, Family Traditions are not welcome the synthetic gang sub-cultures flourish.

Witness the outburst of violence at a Chicago Anti-Violence Meeting at a Chicago Public high school yesterday.

An anti-violence rally at George Washington High School turned ugly Thursday when a series of fights broke out in a crowd of students being dismissed for the day.

Parents and students had gathered at 3 p.m. to protest what they said has been escalating violence between black and Latino students at the school, at 3535 E. 114th St. on the Far Southeast Side.

Tensions between the groups have persisted for years, parents and students said. But this week has been particularly violent, with several flare-ups that caused some parents to pull children out of school for their safety. Several parents said they would not allow their children to return to school until the violence was addressed.

The protest came on the heels of a larger rally Chicago Public Schools held earlier this week calling for an end to the shootings that have claimed 20 students this year.

John McCain is the only Presidential Candidate of any Party who leads on School Choice.

Click my post title for the latest example of what happens when schools stand for nothing.

McCain: Daley states, 'That's Right! You Know What Time It Is!' - He's 'Bout To Bust a Property Tax Cap, YO!

Only Hours after bringing Chicago Public School Homicides to its knees with a dramatic and well-publicized March around Thompson Center, shots were fired near Morgan Park High School in my neighborhood.

With his usual aplomb, Daley went Old Testament on the City Tax-payers. Daley and Arne Duncan, both proud products of private education, promised to bust a cap- Property Tax Cap - the one that was raised last Fall, if Gov. Blago does not come up with the trump for Arne's National Laugh, in the ear of Chicago Tax Payers.

That's me. I take the weather personally.

Public Schools are tragedy and Chicago Public Schools are Blood Tragedy ( Marlowe, Jonson, Ford)- the shockingly violent sister of the genre. CPS kids die from homicide. People kill those kids. The guns do not go off by themselves. People kill other people because they feel comfortable doing so - we live in a Thug Comfort Zone.

We live in a Thug Comfort Zone, because thugs are fearless - they suffer no consequences. The sorry state of public education in Chicago contributes to the Thug Comfort Zone, as do the more moronic members of the media, lawsuit addicted radical lawyers, radical 501(c)3 University Think Tanks and gutless politicians.

School Choice will help end the violence, by forcing Arne Duncan to make his school's accountable through competition.

John McCain is a Federalist who will lead for School Choice. The Federal Government will encourage States to act on School Choice.

Here's Insane Arne D on what you need to know:

Chicago Schools CEO Arne Duncan said $180 million in new state money is the "bare minimum" to allow the district to expand kindergarten, evening classes and foreign-language instruction, among other programs.

The threat comes after Daley raised property taxes last fall. Additionally, the City Council increased the real estate transfer tax as part of a CTA bailout that also included a quarter-cent sales tax increase that took effect Tuesday. Come July 1, the Cook County Board's 1 percent sales tax increase will hit taxpayers.

Get to Marching' Arne!

The rest of us, let's get to John McCain's leadership on School Choice.

You know what time it is!

John McCain: Sun Times Endorsement - Now it Can be Told - Cheryl Reed, Editor (resigned) Didn't write it - it was too good.

Chicago Sun Times under Editor Reed was an avowed enemy of all Chicago Police Officers and helped create the Thug Comfort Zone in Our City - in my opinion.

La Pasionaria, Cheryl Reed, resigned as editor of the Chicago Sun Times on Monday, after complaining that the paper's endorsements were re-written. I read the Sunday endorsement of John McCain and knew that it could not have come from the Cheryl Progressive Independent Voice of the City - Let's Get Into It ! Reed. No way no how.

Since Reed's July 15th Manifesto, The Chicago Sun Times has helped create a Thug Comfort Zone in Chicago, insulted the very working people who purchased the paper with doctrinaire Progressive non-sense, and daily undermining of public confidence in the American Justice system.

For John McCain

February 3, 2008
Facing an uphill battle in the November elections, Republicans need to nominate a presidential candidate who represents the best traditions of the Grand Old Party: fiscal responsibility, devotion to national security and honest conduct of the nation's business.

Republican voters should consider themselves lucky. They have two candidates highly qualified to occupy the Oval Office: John McCain and Mitt Romney, two principled political figures who could chart a new course for our country and lead it forward with honor.

In a close call, our endorsement goes to McCain, a war hero, experienced player in the U.S. Senate and Washington politics, a principled conservative and a leader with an extra something -- that crucial capacity to stir our souls.

If the GOP's chances in November don't look so good these days, they certainly don't look any worse than McCain's own hopes of securing the GOP nomination just a few months ago. His campaign bank account empty, forced to lay off staff and dismissed as a viable contender, McCain soldiered on against the odds and now appears poised to capture the party's nomination.

His character, political courage and grasp of the crucial issues facing the country guarantee that McCain can energize Republicans and capture the independent voters the GOP will need to retain the White House in the face of the low poll numbers of President Bush.

No one can read his account of the cruel years of torture and solitary confinement in the Hanoi Hilton without feeling a lump in the throat. He never broke.

And anyone who reads his memoir, Faith of My Fathers, understands the foundation on which McCain built a reputation as a politician of the highest ethical standards not afraid to defend unpopular positions and fight for what he believes in. He clung to his belief that the U.S. should increase the troop commitment in Iraq, which caused his early lead to evaporate, and most thought would kill his chances to be president.

McCain is a free thinker who judges each issue on its merits, not on its political implications.

Like the GOP base, McCain understands -- in a way Republicans feel that the Democrats fail to comprehend -- that America faces an implacable enemy in Islamist fanaticism. He articulates eloquently the conservative belief that the consequences of defeat in Iraq would be crippling to the U.S. military's morale, damaging to national security and a signal victory for America's enemies. Like the GOP base, he believes that it wasn't the invasion of Iraq that was a mistake, it was the misguided strategy that didn't put enough boots on the ground. Continued success in the surge will enable McCain to make that argument persuasively to war-weary American voters.

On domestic issues, McCain adheres to Republican orthodoxy that cutting taxes, government spending and regulatory red tape are necessary to preserving a strong economy. McCain risked political suicide last year to promote, unsuccessfully, a reasonable and humane immigration reform package, which included border security provisions, along with a guest-worker program and a path to citizenship for many illegal immigrants.

McCain now says he knows America wants border security first. But he has not hedged on his commitment to treat illegal immigrants with compassion. It may be unpopular in some conservative circles, but immigration reform is of vital interest to traditional Republican allies in business.

While boasting core Republican credentials, McCain also has proved that he can reach out to Democrats and work cooperatively toward meaningful solutions -- a trait in rare supply in today's deeply divided capital.

McCain has also been a consistent and loud voice against pork-barrel spending, he is in favor of campaign finance reform, and he has warned about the risks of global warming.

If he is nominated, as we expect he will be, McCain should make Romney America's No. 2 Republican. Given McCain's advanced age, a vice presidential choice has never been more important. A man of impeccable personal integrity, Romney has amassed an enviable record of accomplishment in the business world, public service and elective office. He built a lucrative venture capital and investment business, valuable experience for a White House faced with today's economic insecurities.

He raised the Olympics in Utah from the ashes and led them to a successful conclusion. And as governor of Massachusetts, one of the nation's bluest states, Romney demonstrated how a Republican leader could work with a Democratic legislature to promote economic growth and tackle a complex issue such as expanding health care. Romney has excelled in everything he has done.

But it is McCain we want to see at the top of the ticket. The Democrats are promising the voters what Republicans see as a simplistic and defeatist way out of Iraq -- just withdraw the troops. Straight-talking McCain sees different realities and declares, "The American people deserve to know that the path ahead will be long and difficult."

Admittedly that may be a hard sale in an election year. But it's what Republicans believe, and in McCain they have the standard bearer who can carry that message to the nation and who stands the best chance of convincing Americans that a Republican president needs to lead the nation in seeing Iraq through to a successful end.

Republicans are hungering for a thoughtful Republican who knows how to get things done. That is evidenced by McCain's wins in states as diverse as New Hampshire, South Carolina and now Florida, where only registered Republicans could vote.

Cast a ballot for John McCain. Cast a ballot that counts.

Flint! Where's the paper work?

Old Timey Gator rassler and radical Lawyer Flint Taylor sitting on a victim of animal abuse and his client's expectations - No Settlement Leroy - Flint screeeeeeeeeewed the pooch!

Ace Radical Old Timey Lawyer and Gator Rassler, G ( Goofed Leroy!) Flint Taylor wanted to settle; needed to settle;Nay, demanded to settle; screamed, spit and hissed at every News Cast that we can't handle the settlement - like a cue-tipped, pasty Jack Nicholson!

“There should be indictments and prosecutions of Burge and his men for obstruction of justice, perjury and conspiracy,” said Flint Taylor, Orange’s attorney. He called for hearings for the 25-30 black men imprisoned after allegedly being tortured into confessions of crimes they didn’t commit.

But . . . Flint Screwed the Pooch:

Meanwhile, Orange’s lawyer failed to produce a properly drafted document giving him power of attorney to settle, Georges said.
From today's Tribune - click for the background story -BTW: the Chicago Sun Times merely states -

an attorney for one of the plaintiffs had not been able to produce a power of attorney executed by his client, a form that would demonstrate he had the authority to settle the case.
Come on Frannie that's Flint Taylor!

He might have been exhausted from rassling Gator and Frank Avila for some of the nickles that spilled.

Leroy call a lawyer.

G. ('Gimme!') Flint Taylor and Gator Bradley Brawl for Patterson Settlement!

Old Timey Radical Lawyer G. Flint Taylor readies to battle Gator Bradley!

Gator's fighting Avila for 250,000 George Washington's , or Urbanly Translated - 2,500 Benjamins!

But Flint is ready to pounce!

"The real money grubbers in this case aren't on our side of the fence. They're on the other side of the fence. And they're all financed by the city and the county. That's the financial bottom line of this case."

This just in from the Official Paper of the Thug Comfort Zone - Chicago Sun Times

Three of the alleged victims have remained free, but Patterson is serving a 30-year prison term on gun and drug charges.

In one of the strange twists in Patterson's civil case, a judge allowed Wallace "Gator" Bradley, a former gang enforcer, to sit in court with Patterson's attorney as an "urban translator" to control the volatile defendant. Now Bradley says Patterson's attorney, Frank Avila, owes him $250,000 for his work. Avila and Flint Taylor, Patterson's former lawyer, are fighting over their share of the legal fees.

Flint Taylor Ain't Done - Until All Justice Is Obstructed

Grant Burge This - He's Staying Corked! G.Flint Taylor is not about to allow that Dream Genii out of the Bottle. Burge Bubble$ and $parkle$ New$ Print and Buckaroo$$$ for Flint and his Cadre!

Indict, Prosecute, Convict Burge - but that is never going to happen and as long as morons like Ed Smith, Toni Preckwinkle and Lawsuit Lotto Lawyer Fiorretti play stooge to Flint's crowd along with most of the Chicago Media, the Burge story will be here long after Catholic Cemetaries have become Condo Townhouse Developments.

G.Flint is an old hand at obstruction of Justice - earned his radical spurs way back in the 1960's - now a Progressive grey horse like bomb throwers Bernadine Dohrn and her old man Billy Ayers - made academics no less. Imagine asking those folks to 'keep an eye on the kids while I run up to County Fair for some 2%?' Oh, well it was all explained to us by the Medill Truth Factory - subsequent Trib 'aon't that special and endearing'pieces and Chicago Magazine - they are an active part of this enterprise as well. And so many others . . .

There are continuing criminal violations here, and if the special prosecutor won’t do anything about them, then Fitzgerald, who is the U.S. Attorney here and who, of course, has made his name in the Valerie Plame case and has already indicted Daley’s people in a wide-ranging truck scandal, he has to open his investigation into federal RICO or racketeering charges, as well as obstruction of justice and perjury.

There just might be a 'Criminal Enterprise' Fitz. Let's see what you have. G. Flint Taylor's League of Lawsuit Lawyers amd his very complicit Media stooges have created an atmosphere that violates the right to life of ordinary citizens -A Thug Comfort Zone.

This Thug Comfort Zone
1. Created an atmosphere of mistrust for all levels of Law Enforcement and Justice especially any and all Police officers

2. Paved the way for political payouts of taxpayers dollars to convicted felons and lawyers

3. Made criminal sociopaths indifferent to the lives of productive citizens

4. Createg racial tensions and balkanizes the City

5. Got and Gets innocent citizens murdered

The City settled with G. Flint Taylor and he and his acolytes are only getting warmed up.

Here is a blast from the past - G. Flint Taylor's contempt for the Justice system from the Hampton v Hanrahan et al from the 60's.

XI. CONTEMPT JUDGMENTS

In separate appeals Jeffrey H. Haas and G. Flint Taylor, attorneys for plaintiffs, asked that the contempt judgments entered against them be reversed. These appeals have been consolidated with the main appeal. In order to appraise fully these contempt matters, it is necessary to present the facts in detail.

TAYLOR

In the last days of October 1976 plaintiffs called Robert Zimmers, the FBI firearms expert, as a witness. On November 1, while Zimmers was on the stand, the following took place:

Mr. Haas (attorney for plaintiffs): I now show you what I will mark as RZ51 and ask you what type of weapon is this, sir?

Mr. Zimmers: A double-barrelled Stevens shotgun, which bears serial number 43312 . . . .

Mr. Haas: Could we have a stipulation, your Honor, that this weapon was taken on the raid by George Jones?

Mr. Witkowski (attorney for defendants): Yes.

The Court: So stipulated . . . Let the record show that counsel has so agreed.

Mr. Witkowski: Yes, your Honor.

Several days later Haas again presented the Jones shotgun to Zimmers on the witness stand.

Mr. Haas: And is that the item, RZ51, the double standard sawed-off shotgun which we have shown you earlier, sir?

Mr. Zimmers: . . . Yes, this is the one.

Mr. Haas: And it has been stipulated that this is the weapon that was carried by Officer Jones on the raid of December 4, 1969.

At that point defense counsel objected. The judge said he would hear the objection outside the presence of the jury. Attorney John P. Coghlan, defense counsel, then argued that the defendants had never entered into a stipulation using the word "raid." He accused Haas of a "deliberate, wilful and intentional attempt to prejudice the jury." Haas said that his statement about the stipulation was accurate. At that point Taylor asked for a recess so that the transcript could be inspected. The judge denied the request.

When the jury returned to the courtroom, the judge announced: "Mr. Haas has deliberately and wilfully misread a statement. I direct you (Haas) to read that statement, that stipulation, corrected." Haas said he had stated the stipulation correctly. The judge then asked Coghlan to "state the stipulation correctly." Coghlan extemporized:

Mr. Coghlan: The stipulation is that the weapon that was shown to the witness was one of the weapons carried by the officers serving a search warrant at 2337 W. Monroe.

The Court: Now that is it . . . .

During the next two days plaintiffs' counsel repeated their requests on several occasions to review the court's transcript because they had none of their own. Finally, on November 10, the judge permitted the inspection.

The next day plaintiffs' counsel presented a motion to "Correct Prejudicial Remarks Made by the Court to the Jury and For Mistrial," supported by the transcript showing Haas' statement was not a misrepresentation. The judge summarily said he was taking the motion under advisement, and gave defense counsel ten days to respond. Haas argued that the prejudice should be cured as soon as possible. The judge refused to reconsider. At that point counsel for plaintiffs returned to their table flinging down their papers. Taylor's hand struck a pitcher of water on the table. The pitcher slid along the table top and fell to the floor near the jury box. The glass lining broke and water spilled on the rug. All of this took place while the court was in recess and the jury out of the courtroom. The transcript reads as follows:

*645 The Court: I have entered my order.

Now, there is one juror who has not arrived yet. We will now recess until

All right. Let the record show the conduct of both counsel in throwing papers around and one of them what is it that is broken over there?

Mr. Coghlan: Sir, there is broken a glass water pitcher.

The Court: All right. Mr. Taylor, you did that, and you are now held in contempt of court, and the Court now orders you committed to the custody of the Attorney General of the United States for a period of 24 hours, and orders the Marshal to take you into custody forthwith.

Mr. Taylor: May I be heard, your Honor?

The Court: No, sir.

Mr. Taylor: I have the right to speak before I am summarily sentenced, and I want to say

The Marshal: This court will stand in recess.

After a brief recess, the trial resumed. The judge ordered that the pitcher and debris be left before the jury box. Haas made several requests to be heard out of the presence of the jury concerning the incident. The requests were denied. The judge, however, did grant a request of Special Corporation Counsel Camillo F. Volini that Volini's photographer take pictures of the broken pitcher. Although the judge refused to permit the press to take photographs, he told Volini that "they (the press) may have a copy of the picture that is taken." He also told defense counsel to have the press "pay you whatever it costs," if they desired a copy.

After the incident, an attorney appeared on behalf of Taylor and attempted to be heard. The judge refused the request telling the attorney to return later in the day. Near the close of the afternoon session, the judge, without hearing argument on behalf of Taylor, entered the following order:

The Court finds that a motion was made by counsel for plaintiffs herein, and the Court ordered counsel for defendants to answer the same within 10 days. Both Jeffrey Haas and G. Flint Taylor, two of the attorneys for plaintiffs, demanded an oral hearing, which the Court denied. Immediately after the Court refused to hear them orally, Attorney G. Flint Taylor, In a fit of anger, threw paper, books and other objects on the table for counsel, including a decanter with an inside glass lining, which was broken. Water and glass were sprayed over the floor in front of the jury box. Present in the Court were a number of spectators and representatives of the press.

The Court finds that such action was a contemptuous and constituted willful and deliberate contempt of this Court in its presence at 10:30 a. m., November 11, 1976. The Court does hereby find Attorney G. Flint Taylor in contempt of Court, and does hereby order and direct that he be and is hereby committed to the custody of the Attorney General of the United States for a period of 24 hours, ending at 10:35 a. m. on November 12, 1976.

The Court further orders and directs the United States Marshal to immediately execute this order and take Attorney G. Flint Taylor into custody forthwith.

The judge immediately amended the order by substituting the words "in the presence of the Court" for "in a fit of anger." He also commuted the time to be served.

HAAS

On February 22, 1977 Hanrahan was recalled as a witness after a four-day interval during which Treviranus had testified regarding the federal grand jury investigation. Treviranus identified a memo he had written which outlined the arrangement between Hanrahan and Assistant Attorney General Leonard whereby the raiders would not be indicted by the grand jury and Hanrahan would terminate the prosecution in the state court against the survivors of the raid. The court had deferred a request to introduce the document while Johnson and Treviranus were under examination. With Hanrahan back on the stand the transcript reads:

Mr. Haas: Sir, were you present at a meeting with Marlin Johnson in late *646 March or early April of 1970 in which he indicated that there would be no indictments of police officers or yourself?

Mr. Hanrahan: No, sir.

Q: Well now, didn't Mr. Hanrahan, didn't you tell the Federal prosecutors on or about April 8 that you were going to drop the indictments against the occupants of the apartment?

A: My recollection is that on the second date that I appeared before the Grand Jury I indicated that they would review the indictments that are pending and probably dismiss them.

Q: You are referring to May 5th of 1970?

A: I am referring to the second occasion that I appeared before the Federal Grand Jury. It was early in the year and I believe it was in May.

Q: But prior to that you had entered an agreement with the Federal prosecutors to drop the charges, had you not?

A: No, sir.

Q: And hadn't you told them that the reason that Defense counsel Volini objected and asked for a hearing outside the presence of the jury. After the jury had left the courtroom, Volini asked that Haas be instructed to cease asking questions concerning the agreement and that the jury be "instructed to disregard it." Arnold Kanter, counsel for the defendants, asserted that Haas should be denied the opportunity to ask more questions concerning such agreements because the witness had already asserted there were none. The judge did not rule on these motions, nor did he wait to hear from plaintiffs' counsel. He called the jury back and said, "The last question is stricken. You will disregard it." Haas then resumed his questioning of Hanrahan:

Mr. Haas: Mr. Hanrahan, do you know how it was that Leonard Treviranus knew on April 8th that the Grand Jury

Mr. Kanter: Objection.

The Court: Now, Mr. Haas

Mr. Haas: Wait a minute.

The Court: we just got through out of the presence of the jury. You will not go into that subject matter any further.

Mr. Haas: I didn't even get to argue it. Well, Judge, the deal

The Court: I said you will not go into it any further.

Mr. Haas: Judge, we can't cover up the coverup.

Mr. Witkowski (attorney for defendants): Your Honor

Mr. Haas: That is part of our complaint, that they covered up, Judge.

Mr. Coghlan: If the court please

The Court: Mr. Haas, you are now held in contempt of court for the last remark directed to the Court, and I will prepare an order accordingly.

Mr. Taylor: May the jury be excused

The Court: The Court will take a recess, and we will prepare an order holding you in contempt.

Mr. Haas: All right, Judge. I think all the people who have spoken the truth have always ended up in contempt, and the coverup goes on and on and on.

Mr. Taylor: And Mr. Treviranus testified on Friday, Judge.

The Court: I will hold you in contempt and I will now turn you over to the custody

Mr. Haas: O.K., Judge.

The Court: of the U. S. Marshal for contempt, and hold you in custody until tomorrow morning at 9:00 o'clock.

Mr. Haas: All right, Judge, I would just

Mr. Taylor: There is a document right here that says there was

The Court: Court now stands in recess.

Haas was taken into custody by the United States Marshal and ordered held until the following morning. An order was entered by the judge that day finding that Haas' "statements and actions in the presence of the Court are serious and that it resulted in the obstruction of the administration of justice . . . ." The judge referred to no specific language, but did recite "certain statements in open court in *647 the presence of the jury as set forth in the transcript of the Court proceedings certified by the court reporter and attached hereto made a part hereof." The court denied a motion for appeal bond, and Haas remained in jail until the next morning. On the following day the judge reversed his ruling and heard extensive testimony from Hanrahan about the alleged arrangement.

Unquestionably, a court has the power to punish summarily contemptuous conduct which occurs in the presence, sight, or hearing of a presiding judge. Ex parte Terry, 128 U.S. 289, 302-04, 9 S.Ct. 77, 32 L.Ed. 405 (1888). For example, that the contumacious refusal of a witness to testify, "may so directly obstruct a court in the performance of its duty as to justify punishment for contempt is so well settled as to need only statement." Ex parte Hudgings, 249 U.S. 378, 382, 39 S.Ct. 337, 339, 63 L.Ed. 656 (1919).

The power of a federal court to punish immediately and summarily for "direct contempt" is codified in 18 U.S.C. s 401 which provides that:

A court of the United States shall have power to punish by fine or imprisonment, at its discretion, such contempt of its authority, and none other, as

(1) Misbehavior of any person in its presence or so near thereto as to obstruct the administration of justice . . . .

The Supreme Court, commenting on this statute in In re McConnell, 370 U.S. 230, 233-34, 82 S.Ct. 1288, 1291, 8 L.Ed.2d 434 (1962), explained that this provision was enacted by Congress "in order to correct serious abuses of the summary contempt power that had grown up . . . revealing 'a Congressional intent to safeguard Constitutional procedures by limiting courts . . . to "the least possible power adequate to the end proposed." ' " The Court in McConne ll then defined the issue:

Thus the question in this case comes down to whether it can "clearly be shown" on this record that the petitioner's statements while attempting to make his offers of proof actually obstructed the district judge in "the performance of judicial duty." Id. at 234, 82 S.Ct. at 1291.

I am off to Jason Riley's funeral in a few minutes. Jason was murdered by Thugs from the Media/Lawyer/Thug Comfort Zone at 69th & Ashland.

Be Grassroots - stop buying newspapers. More funerals to come. More money will go to Flint and convicted felons. Flint Taylor has not settled Jon Burge -he's merely aging him in the bottle - Burge gets better for Flint 'As Time Goes By!'

Just my opinion. I won't buy the papers,nor G. Flint's agenda.
