Gay Marriage - Angry, Hostile and Vindictive is the Only Way to Gay?

Illinois Pan-pest Andy "Smashing knockers" Thayer.  If it's goofy, Andy is out in front.

Only hours after failing to sweep-up enough votes to Redefine Marriage and Make 'Em Pay's (SB # 10), sponsor and architect of both Civil Unions and the failed Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act is being treated with all of the civility and graciousness visited upon Francis Cardinal George by the LGBTQ leadership and men of Boystown.
In more than a dozen speeches Saturday night, activists who fought for months to pass the bill, blamed Democratic politicians for the loss.
"We were working under circumstances where there was a lack of communication from the House," said Anthony Martinez, executive director of The Civil Rights Agenda, who described himself as "incredibly pissed."
Taking much of the heat were House Speaker Michael Madigan and Harris.
"The truth is there is no one to blame except for the person who didn't call a vote," said Lambda Legal's Jim Bennett, chair of the Illinois Unites for Marriage Coalition, of Harris.
Bennett said that accusations that lack of support in the House Black Caucus doomed the bill were unfair.
He further commented on a Windy City Times editorial by Publisher Tracy Baim, which called on Harris to step down as the bill's sponsor and not run for re-election if the bill fails in the November's veto session.
"It's a conversation we should all have," said Bennett, who called the lack of a vote a "profound betrayal." But Bennett said that calls for resignation might be premature, noting Harris's history within the community.
Bennett's comments came alongside a media release from Equality Illinois the same night, stating that the call for Harris to resign was wrong. [The editorial does not call for Harris to resign.] The release condemned his decision not to vote on the bill.
"But Representative Harris has been our stalwart leader in the General Assembly, masterfully leading the way for civil unions, funding for AIDS/HIV services, and other important initiatives impacting seniors, women and children," Equality Illinois said in the statement. "Probably no one in that body ached more than he did in announcing his decision."
Equality Illinois leaders did not attend Saturday night's rally.
Several speakers urged action from grassroots community members, noting that LGBTs had placed undue trust in leadership on the bill.
But despite outrage from many speakers, a solemn and disappointed mood marked the rainy evening protest. LGBT couples stood arm-in-arm together, some of them crying. Others quietly held up homemade signs.
Scores of gay activists - some say 50, but Windy City Times says over 100 - vented in Boystown against Rep. Greg Harris.

Fred Eychaner paid to get Greg Harris' looney bill passed and signed by Gov. Pat " Yes, Sire!" Quinn.  Catholics, evangelicals and African Americans strongly voiced opposition to the legislation that is using Civil Rights as its smoke screen, in order to exercise power over the people of Illinois and the religious faiths and institutions that object to re-defining marriage.  The politics of this demands that there be no such opposition - in thought word or deed - like voting.

Fred Eychaner's Windy City Times trotted out Tracy Baim's Stalinist denunciation of the leading gay activist in Springfield.

The biggest blame has to be placed on the chief sponsor of the marriage equality bill in the Illinois House, Rep. Greg Harris, an openly gay man. If you are out front for the credit when there is victory, you are also out front for the failure. The bill stops there.
Harris made promises he could not keep. In politics, that can be a reason to step down. Harris, who has dedicated his career to LGBT and AIDS issues, deserves the chance to prove his strategy right. If he wins, we all win, and that is all that matters. But if he does not succeed in passing this in the veto session this fall, he should not run for re-election in 2014. To be clear, this is not a call for Harris to resign, but he will have lost the trust of the people he made commitments to, and it is very difficult to lead once that trust is gone.
In addition, Harris should step down now as chief sponsor of this legislation. He has proven he is tone deaf to the wishes of both the grassroots and leadership of this community. They almost all called for a vote "no matter what." Instead, Harris chose to give cover to his political colleagues, rather than follow through on his own on-the-record promise to call for a vote by May 31.

Why did a vote matter now? Because for months, no hard count has been possible on who really was for or against this bill. This limbo caused confusion and depleted valuable resources lobbying dozens more representatives than necessary.
Harris said he has promises from certain reps they will vote for the bill this fall, but we have seen how political promises pan out.
What's not clear is if it would have failed if the legislators had been forced to be on record. Several legislators said they believe some of their colleagues would have changed to "yes"—and indeed in other cities and states this has been the case. With four openly gay and lesbian representatives in the Illinois House as their colleagues, they have a much greater understanding of this battle. ( emphases my own, HARRIS!)
Not Greg, Not Mr. Harris," not thanks . . .just try and get a reservation at Kit Kat, Harris. "

Anger, Hostility and Vindictiveness have been the theme and overall tone of the push for Gay Marriage - the issue, according to Gay Commissars, is not subject to debate.   What's next ?

More anger, hostility and vindictiveness.  Fred Eychaner will get more money from fro Henry Van Ameringen and other members of the American Gay Mafia.  There will be more Gay sit com idols trotted out wearing Paul Simon ties and Pat Quinn will talk about his bruised fists punching out homophobic cops at Stonewall.

Gay Pride Parade will be one angry, hostile and vindictive stroll.  Harris had best blow town.

Marriage Won a Close One in Illinois This Week.

illinois gay marriage house vote
Harris (left) is comforted by state Rep. Kelly Cassidy, a fellow Chicago Democrat, as he announces he would not call the marriage bill for a vote.Harris' speech was met with a standing ovation, as was another speech by state Rep. Deb Mell, who discussed her marriage to wife Christin Baker. Harris, Cassidy and Mell are three of four openly LGBT members of the Illinois House.

Do I want every person in Illinois to have a happy life?  Why, yes I do.  Do I expect every person in Illinois and points beyond to behave, thinks and aspire exactly as I do?  Good God, no.

I am relieved that I have the right to step out of bed once again on what some people call the 'the wrong side of history.'  I am relieved and very surprised that Greg Harris could not come up with any where near the votes to redefine marriage in Illinois and set the table for lawsuits against my Church and many, many other faiths.  With scads of money and every editorial board in his vest pocket, Illinois Rep. Greg Harris, the LGBT Robespierre of the Illinois Religious Liberty and Marraige Equality Bill (SB 10).  Greg Harris catalogs the power political muscle and money behind this bill which failed to get the votes and turns to Lincoln as hammer.  Rep. Deb Mell catalogs her personal trail of tears and her great marriage as soccer moms, cooks and partners.

Greg Harris helped lead this effort through the Illinois Senate on Valentine's Day and it looked as if the House would fall to the narrative about happiness, civil rights, Stonewall is Selma, Catholics are haters and 'the right side of history'  - "a claim deployed in political debate to delegitimate one’s opponents." Custer told the Sioux that they were 'on the wrong side of history' at the Washita River in 1868.  The Sioux told Custer the same at the Little Big Horn River in 1876 with real gusto. This conversation continued until Wounded Knee in 1890.   History does not have a side, it has only sidelines packed with advocates who dress up in lab coats, take polls and random samplings of like-minded folks and pretend that science proves truth.

Political science is actually a form alchemy - scholars seeking to turn lead into gold or sex into love.  Sex, as I understand it, is a wonderfully pleasant after-effect of the inclination to perpetuate the species.  Sex is no more love than nails and wood are carpentry - Sandra Fluke notwithstanding.

In the case of Gay Marriage the alchemy demands that LGBT be thought of as 'strange fruit'

While African Americans swung in the breeze, Jane Addams accepted a Nobel Prize.  A black legislator mentioned this insulting simile of Gay is Black on So Many Levels and was immediately and wildly ridiculed on the Illinois Progressive lobbyists blog.

Love and happiness very often work in tandem, but not always.  Some people who love very, very, very deeply can be the most unhappy of God's creatures.  Happiness is happiness is hard to get. Ask Anna Karenina, or Jennifer Anniston, or Anthony Weiner.

Marriage is between a male and female and they different for very good reasons.  A male and male can have sex until Bill Moyers makes sense, but they will not procreate.  A male and female who marry may very well have sex once and produce a child of either gender inclined toward same (homo) sex and remain a very happy and loving family.  A male and female may breed outside of marriage and populate the earth with unloved and neglected males and females. A male and a male may bond in a civil union and adopt a child and love one another, but that is not a marriage any more than an abortion is a health initiative.

I do not know how my Representative (Fran Hurley) would have voted, but I do know that my State Senator (Billy Cunningham) voted for this law.  I will continue to send notes reminding Rep. Hurley that I strongly object to this artificial, dodgy and dangerous legislation.  Cunningham does not care about my vote. I object to SB 10 in the strongest possible terms and I refuse to defined by those who push its passage.

Greg Harris will continue lead the LGBT revolution in Illinois - he's paid to do that.  Let's see what history will eventually be written - a law in Illinois that makes war on marriage and religion, or not.

Last Call from the Chicago Tribune - " Illinois! Stand Up for Non-Euclidian Marriage !"

I have witnessed birth.   In two of the three blessed events, the attending obstetrician pronounced, " Mrs. Hickey, you and your husband are the parents of beautiful baby girl."  On one occasion, after a very difficult and painful experience for my 'birth' partner as the dope didn't take for the breech birth of the fetal-distressed object of our prayers, the exhausted medical professional, " Mrs. Hickey, you and your husband are the proud parents of a handsome young man!"

In no case, did the attending physician pronounce the sexual preference of any child born to our family e.g. " You are the proud parents of a lesbian, transgender, switch-hitting, homosexual male, or whatever."  Rather, I was informed and fully understood that my wife and I had a son and two daughters: one male with the attendant reproductive apparati and two female girls, as far I as could tell.

We bought unisex diapers, wipes, keister ointment and Similac for all three.  Strictly Euclidian.  We took it from there.  I got out of car with the saw cut down the Christmas Trees and hauled them back to the running car where Mrs. Hickey and very warm kiddies waited for the task to be completed.  " Dads, don't get cold.  Mommies are smarter."

Greg Harris, Fred Eychaner, Terry Cosgrove, Kelly Cassidy, and others have done a magnificent job of purchasing, bullying or convincing Illinois that polls matter and Euclid is an old Greek.  With the legislative cxlock running down on the Illinois Religious Freedom and Marraige Fairness Act, the Chicago Tribune issued this call arms against Black Evangelicals, Muslims, devout Jews, Catholics and Euclid:
State Rep. Greg Harris, D-Chicago, needs 60 votes by week's end to add Illinois to the list. The nose count is still close. Let's get it done.
Public support for same-sex marriage is barreling ahead, and it isn't likely to change direction.
This month, a Gallup poll found 53 percent of Americans support same-sex marriage, up from 44 percent in 2010 and 27 percent in 1996. Separate polls measured support at 55 percent in Arizona, 56 percent in Virginia and 57 percent in Michigan.

No less a Non-Euclidian sexual practitioner than Cole Porter admitted to the Euclidian mandate of 'parts' in procreation -

When the little bluebird
Who has never said a word
Starts to sing Spring
When the little bluebell
At the bottom of the dell
Starts to ring Ding dong Ding dong
When the little blue clerk
In the middle of his work
Starts a tune to the moon up above
It is nature that is all
Simply telling us to fall in love

And that's why birds do it, bees do it
Even educated fleas do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

Cold Cape Cod clams, 'gainst their wish, do it
Even lazy jellyfish do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

I've heard that lizards and frogs do it
Layin' on a rock
They say that roosters do it
With a doodle and cock . . . Cole Porter "Let's Fall in Love"

Let's do what exactly one might ask?  Why Sex, Junior!  You know, what Percy Sledge said . . .better yet! Marvin Gaye!

Easy, Son!

Sex tempered with love and blessed in marriage brings about all that Springtime stuff - birth, renewal!  Now, in Planned Parenthood nations like Red China, some confused breeders obey the State and flush beautiful children down the toilet, but most Cole Porter/Percy Sledge/Pope Francis folks warp their babes in swaddling clothes and lay them in mangers.

Euclid observed, just like I observed, that there are differences.  In the last century, feminism argued against this.  Science, according to Michael Levin in his brilliant critique of feminism, got in the business of debunking observation. " You going to believe your lying eyes, or ME, Gloria Steinem?"

Non Euclidian morality is rooted in post Kantian philosophy and reached its full fruition with Hitler.  Margaret Sanger was a Non-Euclidian and our feminist bra-burners and infanticidal Medeas are non-Euclidians.

Gay marriage was born of feminism.  Science- even social science, Levin reminds us, is or should be in the business of explaining observation and not leading data, polling, or agendas to pre-cast conclusions.

Marriage is Euclidian = one man + one woman = Some kid.

Cole Porter knew that and he was as Gay as a Clifton Webb Marathon on TMC.

19th Ward note.
The Non-Euclidian money spends, I'll give it that - my State Senator Bill Cunnigham is on board and voted for Non-Euclidian Marriage Illinois;  my State Rep. Fran Hurley took the coin of Terry Cosgrove.  We will see how she votes.  Nice girl, Fran.  That was damn Euclidian of me, I guess.

Illinois Gay Marriage (AKA Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act - Onions and Garlic

Scratch the back of any swine who roots up gold for me?

Tickle the horns of Mammon with my left hand, while my right, too proud to know his partner's business, takes in the fee? No thank you! Cyrano De Bergerac

The Senate passed the bill with one Republican vote. The House will likely pass it this spring sometime. And the world will not end. Rich Miller Daily Southtown

Congressman Jesse Jackson, Junior resigned and the world did not end. Illinois was ranked last in the nation 'on so many levels' and the world did not end.  I used one cup each Onion and Garlic and I thought my world would end. It was a mistake of gargantuan gastronomical grief.

I love onions. I love garlic.  They are wonderful together,  No matter how much I try, the two flavor staples do not come out equal.  Imagine, I prepare a big boiling pot of pasta and I chop/mince/dice equal parts and marry a blend of  1Cup- Onion and 1Cup -Garlic in a sizzling skillet of unsalted butter.

Onions, Garlic what's the difference? They don't work.

People are not food stuffs!  I know and outside of certain districts of Papua New Guinea, or marooned Rugby teams in Andes, people are not food stuffs.  People are people who need people!

Needing something does not change the definition of something else. That is poetry, metaphysics, or Springfield, Illinois.  Politicians have been paid to vote that Gay Marriage can't wait.  Gay Marriage - which is civil unions with greater clout to bring lawsuits against individuals, corporations and churches -is declared a human right.

Human Rights, previously argued according to the preamble of the American Constitution are granted by God, are now created by Greg Harris, Heather Steans, Mike Madigan, Dan Burke, Billy Cunningham & etc. and signed by Gov. Pat ( 25%) Quinn.

Marriage is a sacrament and the only one of the Seven Sacraments that is shared by two persons - a man and woman.  The sacramental intent is to bring about a family - have kids.  Guys are onions - they bring tears  to one's eyes and more onion is required to be effective.  Girls are garlic- flavorful, aromatic and delightful and less is often so much more. They work well together according to their individual natures.

When we pretend that an onion, or a clove of garlic are the same, we have people running to nearest receptacle.

My guess is that Gay Marriage will pass in House, just as it did in the Illinois Senate.  My Representative has already tickled the horn of Mammon*.

The marriage of equal parts garlic and onion Illinois!

Next up - playing football in hockey gear.

*Mamona; the spelling Mammona is contrary to the textual evidence and seems not to occur in printedBibles till the edition of Elzevir. The derivation of the word is uncertain, perhaps from mmn as seen inmtmwn, though the Targums, which use the word frequently, never regard it as the equivalent ofmtmwn, which the Greek always renders thesauroi, cf. Job 3:4; Proverbs 2:4. But cf. also HebrewSirach 42:9, bth l'b mtmnt sqr where the margin reads mtmwn, "to the father his daughter is as ill-gotten treasure." In the New Testament only Matthew 6:24, and Luke 16:9-13, the latter verse repeating Matthew 6:24. In Luke 16:9 and 11 Mammon is personified, hence the prevalent notion, emphasized by Milton, that Mammon was a deity. Nothing definite can be adduced from the Fathers in support of this; most of their expressions which seem to favour it may be easily explained by the personification in Luke; e.g. "Didascalia", "Do solo Mammona cogitant, quorum Deus est sacculus"; similarly St. Augustine, "Lucrum Punice Mammon dicitur" (Serm. on Mt., ii); St. Jerome in one place goes near to such an identification when (Dialogue Against the Luciferians 5 ) he quotes the words: "No man can serve two masters", and then adds, "What concord hath Christ with Belial?" But in his "Commentary on Matt," and in Epistle 22.31, he lends no countenance to it: "'Ye cannot serve Godand Mammon.' Riches, that is; for in the heathen tongue of the Syrians riches are called Mammon." But Mammon was commonly regarded as a deity in the Middle Ages; thus Peter Lombard (II, dist. 6) says, "Riches are called by the name of a devil, namely Mammon, for Mammon is the name of a devil, by which name riches are called according to the Syrian tongue." Piers Plowman also regards Mammon as a deity. The expression "Mammon of iniquity" has been diversely explained, it can hardly mean riches ill-gotten, for they should of course be restored. If we accept the derivation from 'mn we may render it "riches in which men trust", and it is remarkable that the Septuagint of Psalm 37:3, renders 'mwgh by plouto, or "riches", as though hinting at such a derivation. The expression is common in the Targums, wheremmwn is often followed by sqr corresponding to the adikias of Luke, thus see on Proverbs 15:27; but it is noteworthy that Sirach 5:8 "goods unjustly gotten" chremasin adikois, reads in Hebrew nks-sqrand not mtmwn. For the various explanations given by the Fathers see St. ThomasII-II.32.7 ad 3um.

Fabulous Fib : Manya Brachear's "Illinois Clergy Endorse Gay Marriage Bill"

Manya - The Seeker
View Larger Map Each dot represents a church and there are 10,360 churches in Chicago and a
thick number in Auburn Gresham

More than 250 faith leaders, many from Chicago, back measure that could face vote in January -Manya Brachear the Chicago Tribune's Seeker

And you shall find that Manya Brachear numbers of support for Greg Harris's Gay Marriage Bill are underwhelming.

Consider this, The Archdiocese of Chicago which represents and shepherd's more than 2.3 million Catholics in Cook and Lake Counties numbers 3,325 clergy persons on its rolls alone:

  • Diocesan Priests (including active and retired): 791
  • Religious Priests: 710
  • Religious Brothers: 250
  • Women Religious: 1,781
  • Permanent Deacons: 559
  • Certified Pastoral Associates: 164
Total of 3, 325 persons numbered as clergy within the Roman Catholic  Archdiocese of Chicago alone.

Manya's total smacks up a tiny 7% of that clergy demographic alone.  Now add to the total of Catholic clergy the reported 1,190 clergy of other denonminations for a total of 4,515 that percenatge drops to 5.7%

Liars figure and figures do lie - Now, this I know. There are 10,360 churches listed in the city of Chicago, each with a pastor/clergy person doing the shout-out to the Lord.  I dare say that most are not Catholic. Now, that makes the number of clergy listed as a bit light. If there are 10,360 and only 4,515 clergy persons -what's up with that, Manya?  That head-scratcher needs a Seeker.

Take a peek at the map of Churches in Auburn Gresham up above.

Let's consider one Chicago neighborhood that I am familiar with -Auburn Gresham.   I drive each morning from Morgan Park to Leo High School and I take either 79th Street from Western Ave east, or 87th Street to Racine.  Between 87th Street and 79th Street on Racine alone there more than 20 African American Churches operated by clergy persons and that is a matter of a mere eight(8) city blocks. Here's the pay-off there are 10,360 churches listed in Chicago and a very thick number of those in this neighborhood alone.

I dare say, there might be one or two pastors in this demographic in full communion with Manya and Boss Terry Cosgrove and Representatives Heather Stearns and Greg Harris and media mogul Fred Eychaner, but I seriously doubt that the other 10,358 Chicago pastors favor Gay Marriage.  I could be wrong.

The Seeker and the Chicago Tribune, as well as the Gay Community are very happy that 260 clergy support Gay Marriage.  That is fabulous.

Savage Bullying of Teens - Fully Funded and Progressive Approved

Nobody bullies like like a bully, who deeply and passionately believes that he has been bullied - a little corporal in Vienna, who avoided tobacco, alcohol, and bullets during WWI, found his art and lifestyle to be a laughing-stock to jeering Jews and callous Catholics and effeminate critics.  It got better.

He went on to pen a world-wide best-seller about his personal struggle and became a transcendent post-political world leader.

It gets better, unless one and others  happen to be au contraire. One can almost hear the smartly turned-out jack-booted progressive voices -Sie, nach rechts! Sie nach links!

Dan Savage* is a Chicago boy who tells one and all that his lifestyle has made him feel that he was somehow outre; well, different, conspicuously, or grossly unconventional or unusual. Dan is homosexual. For that,  Dan Savage has told every carbon foot-print within earshot, or the ability to read that he suffered from bullies.

The only human being, about whom I have some empirical knowledge, never bullied on this earth might possibly have been Swannie (circa - 1950-Present?)  Swanie lived at 75th Pl. & Honore Street two houses south of the tracks. He bullied me, Al McFarland, Terry Smith, Larry Fiscelli, Jimmy & Leo Shea, my brother Whitey, the Lutherans Dave and Danny Krieger, The Hamilton Dairy drivers, Brother Sloane from Leo,  the Two Mike Kellys, the Railroad Dicks, the Cops from Gresham, the Mercy Nuns, Clara Barton Grammar School, Msgr. Stephan McMahon, my Dad and his six brothers, the late Moose Skowron, three shifts at Donahue Steel on Damen, three shifts at Rheem water heater over by the Old Mill on the north side of the tracks, generations of Norway rats, stray dogs, and wild onions. Swannie-Invictus, intacta, et improviso

Jesus was Bullied, Moses was Bullied, St. Paul was Bullied, Oscar Wilde both bullied and was Bullied, Ho Chi Minh was Bullied - hell, he was a dish-washer in a French restaurant, Mao was bullied, and even George Sanders was bullied . . .I think.

I hate bullies.  Having been bullied I tried to be one myself  and had my ass kicked wholesomely - not worth the trouble or the accompanying shame.

Bullies hate being confronted.  I hectored, not bullied mind you, the sweet, smart, lovely and talented Tamara Holder due to my misunderstanding of her work in expunging criminal records. Ms. Holder set me straight and that is not reverse bullying.  Ms. Holder gave me what for with the facts; we be friends. Ms. Holder holds what some would call Progressive points of view.  I value my Catholic, anti-abortion, tribal, close-knit ethnic, pro-real labor beliefs.  We believe in truths; we are not truth itself; that is bullying.

This is bullying and it is fully approved by the media, government and our current Justice Department**.

A few months ago, It seems to me that in order to clear the way for Rep. Greg Harris' Homosexual Marriage Campaign in Illinois, media types took shots at the Catholic Church and Catholics because of its and their Belief that Marriage is between a Man and a Woman, because a man and woman can procreate - breed, have children.

No less a bully than Neil Steinberg chastised Catholic High Schools for not sending students to see a play at the Steppenwolf Theatre that celebrated a gay girl bullied at a Catholic School.

Mesdames et Messieurs, Notre intimident peu idiot, Neil!

Catholic schools avoid Steppenwolf play on gay student bullied — at Catholic school

Most schools have some kind of anti-bullying program, though — since schools don’t like to acknowledge the existence of sex, either (parents tend to go crazy) — most of those programs don’t actually discuss sexuality, even though half of school bullying is against kids who are either gay or seen as gay. Neil Steinberg nsteinberg@suntimes.com March 6, 2012 6:24PM

Gee, and everybody loves Wagner! The opera guy!  Wagner gave that little smokes and booze free vegan Viennese corporal paper-hanger the spirit and juice to show everyone that It Gets Better!

Why does Israel bully Old Dead Dick Wagner and not allow his tunes ( His music is better than it sounds - Mark Twain, a huge American bully) to get play ?

Must be something in Bible.

*Dan Savage was born to William and Judy Savage in Chicago, Illinois.[6] He is of Irish ancestry.[7] The third of four children,[6] Savage was raised as a Roman Catholicand attended Quigley Preparatory Seminary North, which he has described as "a Catholic high school in Chicago for boys thinking of becoming priests."[8] Though Savage has stated that he is now "a wishy-washy agnostic" and an atheist,[9] he has said that he still considers himself "culturally Catholic."[8][10]Savage attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he studied theater and history.[6] As a theater director, Savage (working under the name "Keenan Hollahan") was a founder of Seattle's Greek Active Theater.[10] Much of the group's work has been queer recontextualizations of classic works, such as a tragicomicMacbeth with both the title character and Lady Macbeth played by performers of the opposite sex. In March 2001, he directed his own Egguus at Consolidated Works, a parody of Peter Shaffer's 1973 play Equus which exchanged a fixation on horses for a fixation on chickens. Savage has not directed, produced, or performed in any productions since a 2003 production of Letters from the Earth, also at Consolidated Works, his trimmed version of Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve, which received scathing reviews, including one from his own paper, "My Boss's Show Stinks".[11]Savage and his husband, Terry, have one adopted son, D.J.,[12] and were married in Vancouver, BC in 2005.[13][14]

** ARLINGTON — Hundreds of Texas educators, politicians and LGBT activists attended the White House LGBT Conference on Safe Schools and Communities to hear about the Obama administration’s efforts to fight bullying and prevent hate crimes and to discuss local progress. [...]
Holder said the administration has “created a record we can all be proud of” in terms of protecting LGBT rights and “a sense of momentum that today we stand poised to build upon.”
“This morning I’m proud to join you in affirming a very simple truth and renewing this administration’s commitment, as well as my own, to an essential idea that no one, no one, deserves to be bullied, harassed or victimized because of who they are, how they worship or, and hear it when I say it now, or who they love,” Holder said.
Holder said the “It Gets Better” campaign is more than a slogan, but something the administration is backing up with “robust action,” like the five-year settlement with the Anoka-Hennepin school district reached March 5.

Illinois DCFS Grants Abuse - granted by the Illinois Progressive Machine

Your Illinois Progressive Machine's Steve and Eydie

Some years ago, both Chicago newspapers and the blow-dried blow-hards on the idiot box took up the sanctimony and faux outrage over some Father John Smyth* who could not say no to helping any child and the fact that Illinois Department of Child and Family Services heaped the work of caring for children on his broad shoulders. Illinois "thought" about the children -Oh, My God!!! They are being cared for at Maryville and so many mental health professionals linked to the Illinois Progressive Machine are doing without!

Recently, in the wake of post-Blago hand-wringing there have been a few morsels in print concerning the looting of tax-payers' dollars via grants to DCHS providers -absent Father Smyth. Perhaps it had more to do with the fact that Father Smyth wore a stiff collar and black suit, but I tend to think that some in the media were upset over the confusing spelling of the man's last name.

An easier to sell more familiar Smith contracted up for grants without oversight.

A new Smith emerged - Dr. George E. Smith - a mental health professional with at least four companies doing a husky business with the State of Illinois.

Back in October, Chris Fusco and Dave McKinney trotted out the tale of old school improprieties that were long in place, but rocked a tad when State Sen. Ricky Hendon abruptly resigned following his impassioned work on Greg Harris's Religious Freedom and Civil Unions legislation -

While introducing Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, Hendon told the crowd that he had "never served with such an idiotic, racist, sexist, homophobic person in my life... If you think that women have no rights whatsoever, except to have his children, vote for Bill Brady. If you think gay and lesbian people need to be locked up and shot in the head, vote for Bill Brady." Hendon's remarks were immediately disavowed by Governor Quinn, among others, and Hendon was sharply criticized by members of the Illinois media. Hendon later tried to apologize to Brady on the Senate floor, but Brady would not accept his apology

One hand soaps up the other and hearty foam makes for lathery larder of opportunity!
Gay Lesbian Transgender BiSexual and Questioning issues and agenda link up with public pension deals, woman's need to commit infanticide, avoid the death penalty, right wrongful convictions and make sure that needy children all over Illinois provide mental health professionals the opportunity to lift at least $18 million dollars in grants to nowhere. If it is Progresively sanctioned it is costly, useless, and divisively combative, it always seems.

Rep. Greg Harris got his Civil Unions and immediately conducted a Father John Smyth on Illinois Catholic Social Services -stripped Catholic Charities of the right to direct adoptions of children by a husband and wife. Thus, clearing the path for more systemic opportunities, like those enjoyed by Dr. George E. Smith, it seems, and other Progressively networked grant grabbers.

Let's take a gander at this weekend's unconnected DCHS dots by Tribune Investigative reporters. Rickey Hendon seems absent since October and just who were the legislative God Daddies at Chicago State University anyway? One mght ask.

But Executive Inspector General Ricardo Meza said the wrongdoing may go further, as the state only investigated contracts Smith held dating back to 2008. Smith has been doing businesses with the state since 1986.

“This investigation could literally have taken us another year-and-a-half or two to uncover,” Meza told House lawmakers. “There had to be a point at our office where we decided that we thought that even though we did not fully uncover every piece of misconduct that Dr. Smith may have engaged in, we had to issue the report.”

Pressed if it was possible that more than $18 million in tax dollars were misspent, Meza said, “I think that’s a fair statement…we may never know.”

The Illinois attorney general’s office is investigating in an attempt to recoup some of the money, and federal grand jury subpoenas have named some of Smith's companies among records sought from state agencies, including Diversified Behavioral Comprehensive Care.

Meza said the investigation’s scope was limited partly because agencies are only required to keep documents for three years, a timeline lawmakers said they will push to extend.

Legislators also said they will also seek changes to the state’s Ethics Act, which prevents many cases of wrongdoing by state workers from being made public. The allegations against Smith’s were laid out in a report that contended former DCFS director Erwin McEwen failed to properly oversee grants. McEwen and Smith are longtime friends, and McEwen eventually refused to cooperate with investigators.

Under the law, reports are made public if it leads to an employee being fired or being suspended for three or more days. McEwen resigned, but a lower-level employee was suspended for five days, leading to the report’s release by the Executive Ethics Commission.

The commission could have redacted the majority of the report not dealing with the suspended employee, but decided to make the findings public.

Lawmakers also lashed out against Gov. Pat Quinn for not firing McEwen when the administration received the initial report last May. Instead, McEwen was allowed to stay on the state payroll through September.

Quinn general counsel John Schomberg said the administration wanted to give McEwen “due process” and “provide for additional transition time” as it searched for a replacement.

Schomberg said ethics laws also placed the governor’s office “between a rock and a hard place” because if they fired McEwen, they were not allowed to say why until the report was made public.

It was an argument Rep. Jack Franks, D-Marengo, found lacking.

What does one have to do to get fired working for Gov. Quinn?” Franks said. “If it was the private sector you would have opened yourself up to lawsuits for absolutely negligence. And I think that’s what’s happened here.”

What does it take to get fired by Governor Quinn?

Why, the Okay of Terry Cosgrove, Barbara Flynn-Burris-Currie, Greg Harris, Dawn Clark-Netsch, Dr. Quentin Young and the legion of lesser lights of Progressive Illinois, you silly man.

By the way, Diversified Behavioral Comprehensive Care. ain't that a company name that just cries out for Progessive approval?

However, the smoke screen is up and wafting cover for these committed ninnies and their attendant swag-grabbers -everyone is huffing and puffing about Speaker Madigan, the only competant adult in Springfield.

If the news media was in anyway concerned they would look carefully at the Progressive Machine and witness some real villians at work doing some lusty looting.

No outrage over this here financial mess at DCFS from any Public Guardian? Well, judge not the protected few and thou shalt be a judge, I reckon.

Murphy has called Maryville "a financial mess," and two monitors for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services have called for a financial audit of the institution, which got $62 million last year from taxpayers. Maryville also has a $100 million endowment.

Smyth said he welcomes any scrutiny of Maryville's books and plans to comply with other demands the monitors made in a report that criticized the institution's treatment model as outdated. DCFS Director Bryan Samuels said Wednesday the monitors' suggestions must be met within 60 days or the state will remove 160 wards it has at Maryville's main campus.

"I have no problem with the 10 or 11 things DCFS has put into the contracts," Smyth said. "We'll meet them within 60 days, and that's plenty of time."

Those issues include the audit, staffing levels and better employee-retention policies for Maryville

If You Thought Gay Marriage/Union Was a Problem, Wait Until Gay Divorce Meets Catholic Doctrine

Mimi: "I don't care what you did as a boy."

Guy: "Well, I did nothing as a girl, so there goes my childhood." The Gay Divorcee1934

WASHINGTON (AP) — The D.C. Council is considering legislation that would make it easier for gay and lesbian couples who marry in the nation’s capital to get divorced.

The bill would let gay couples who married in Washington get divorced even if they no longer live in the district, provided they live somewhere that would not recognize their divorce. Under current law, one member of the divorcing couple has to live in Washington for six months before starting divorce proceedings.

Holy Smokes! We just got through the Christmas Season and New Year with a Gay Marriage hooha festooned with more opinions than an HBO Special.

Only last year, Greg Harris fronted the immediate and can't wait Religious Liberty and Civil Union Law signed by Moody's Investor's Services absolutely last man they want to talk to - Gov. Pat Quinn.

Now, Greg Harris and the usual crowd is ready to speedball full boogie Gay Marriage in Illinois -

A group of Illinois lawmakers have begun laying the groundwork for their latest push to bring marriage equality to the Land of Lincoln.

The Windy City Times reports that state representatives Greg Harris, Deb Mell, Kelly Cassidy, Ann Williams, Sara Feigenholtz and state senator Heather Steans have begun meeting with area LGBT and progressive groups to talk strategy for a bill that could be introduced as early as 2013.

Harris, who was the lead architect of the state's civil union law granting many of the same rights and responsibilities to same-sex spouses as heterosexual couples within state boundaries, admitted to the Windy City Times, however, that taking the next step toward marriage equality will not be an "easy process."

Marriage equality - back to civil rights. Yep, Marraige equality means Divorce Equality. Well, they have a dream ink spiller in Pat Quinn. He'll sign anything that he is told to do by the Progressive Machine and his Boss Terry Cosgrove, It has been a full year after all and this issue can't wait - make the deal, get the votes in Springfield, full press courtship, and shop for judges. This can't wait, or no one is fully evolved!

It is always evolution and civil rights and the heart wants what the heart wants, Dammit!

The meme is our society has evolved; marriage is an every changing tapestry of desires, appetites and urges and not really a sacred covenant between a man and woman - I mean come on. Haters!

Marriage is for anyone between anyone - a Deweyesque Marriage of Inquired and Agreed Upon Outcomes. Why just look at what Breeders ( non-Homosexual, Trans, Bi and Unquestioning individuals) have done to Marriage. Uh-Huh.

Bill passed; nuff said. Catholic Charities gets kicked out of its 200 Plus Years of service to orphans ( can I say 'orphan?') and kids in need of a family. Than Franthisco and Robby Tusin, or Crystal Canyon and Poppi Kayque will make absolute jake parents, or so Civil Unions/Gay Marriage tell us, because people ( except people who remember high school biology, Catholics, Jews, AME/Baptist blacks and Lutherans) are evolved.

The Catholic Church is under assault from Gay activists, philanthropists like Henry Van Amerigen, Democrat CE Catholic politicians, GOP ninnies like Senator Marque Kirque, Planned Parenthood, the national corporate news media, academics, DePaul, Loyola and Dominican Universities, the Department of Health and Human Services and very soon the Obama Justice Department.

The Catholic Church opposes gay marriage and sexual relations outside of marriage universal.

The Catholic Church also opposes divorce.

Now comes this fly in the old borrowed and blue ointment.

Washington began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in March 2010. Six states also allow same-sex marriage. But divorcing couples can face legal hurdles if they live in a state that does not recognize(sic) their union.

What are the numbers here in Illinois of Civil Unions forged in 2011, now asunder?

Gay Marriage is counter to Catholic teaching. Divorce is also banned.

The 2012 Gay Divorcee will have plenty to say.
