The Chicago Tribune's Complete Blackout of Aurora Planned Parenthood Protest is Another Disgrace by Print News

Last Saturday, August 22, 2015, while I was enjoying myself at the Leo High School Black and Orange Football Kickoff, thousands ( yes, that is correct) thousands of good people protested the massive, fortress -like Planned Parenthood facility in Aurora, Illinois.

This Planned Parenthood abortion mill looks like a blockhouse protected by God's seedlings - trees ironically called the 'tree of life' in its Latin cognomen. Now, these are tall poplar type trees.  Ask a Tribune investigative reporter what the actual name of the tree happens to be.  I know, but I'd rather you ask a Tribune story hound.  Warts will vanish quicker than you will get a response.

You, see is a huge story here and the Chicago Tribune editorial board is run by Bruce Dold and Bruce Dold likes to have mealy mouthed politicians think well of him,  Tribune reader be damned.  This story has roots and limbs and all sorts of living and breathing components, just like the human beings that Planned Parenthood slaughters daily,  Bruce Dold wants this story hidden in the Tribune's 'News Womb"' with the factual umbilical snug around the neck.

This protest is linked to the national outrage over the release of the Planned Parenthood videos, but there is so much more going on in Aurora, Illinois local government and its role in doing the bidding of Planned Parenthood.

The Chicago Tribune ignores a hot story about the dicey manner in which Aurora government officials grease the way for this Planned Parenthood Abortion Mill's development an construction.

This Abortion Mill in Aurora is on thin legal ice.

No Tribune ink-slinger will tell you why, because no Tribune ink-slinger will get the task of asking any questions.

I read John Kass on-line and with Face Book.  John Kass is a heroic enemy of the American Holocaust. There are other great sources of accurate information on this national disgrace smeared with political grease paint, just like Ms. Richards and other Prada drapped dowagers of death.

A nurse from Oak Lawn who has had a Terry Cosgrove, Illinois Personal PAC, Dick Durbin and Eric Zorn pinned to her back for decades tells the accurate story. Read Jill Stanek.and turn to the sports coverage in the two rags that pass for Chicago news daily papers.

As to the Sun Times, I read only articles by Dan Mihalopoulos, Tim Novak and the estimable Natasha Korecki and the sports pages.  They stopped being anything other than Cook County PR sheet years ago.

There is a TOTAL news black out of Saturday's Planned Parenthood protest in Aurora. The Chicago Tribune editorial board is so completely wired into the murderous dowagers who support Planned Parenthood ( Personal PAC Illinois) that there is ZERO mention of this protest in Chicago Tribune on line's front page. The myth that the print media is the only 'real news' and that anywhere else one only obtains dubious reports is no longer' a dog that won't hunt' but dog of an idea that is deader than innocents slaughtered by Cecile Richards, Barack Obama, Dick Durbin and the mealy mouthed Tribune's Bruce Dold. http://www.chicagotribune.com/

Bruce Dold - at least admit you will never take up the cause of the innocents.

Just a Note to Mary Schmich - No Arrrests At the South Side Irish Parade

Leo Man marches with Big Shoulders Fund at the downtown St. Patrick's Parade.

Mary Schmich wrote a snotty and unnecessary column about St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

The Irish and Catholics in general are last ethnic joke-stereotypes available to faux wits in the media.

I penned a snotty, but most essential blog post in the response to a media person who gets a universal free pass on such nonsense as her column, because of her Progressive pedigree.

By way of courtesy, I offer this report that the south side Irish Parade was arrest free, even though it was very political: Rauner was heckled, Rahm was hectored and Chuy was  cheered.

The South Side Irish Parade continued the St. Patrick's Day weekend celebrations Sunday by adding a third year to its zero-arrests record.
The annual event, which takes place in the Beverly neighborhood on the Far South Side, used to be known for its rowdiness, public drunkenness and high number of arrests. Parade organizers and Chicago Police cracked down on the mayhem in 2012 with a "zero tolerance" policy on alcohol, and the event has enjoyed zero arrests ever since.(emphsis my own)

No arrests.  At the downtown parade, I saw no bad behavior and the parade route was booze free. I saw drinking on the side streets, but no bacchanal.

Mary Schmich, Trib Pulitzer Winner and Irish Bigot Has Advice for Your Breeder Micks

Image result for Mary Schmich pulitzerImage result for anti irish cartoons

For distinguished commentary, using any available journalistic tool Ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
Awarded to Mary Schmich of the Chicago Tribune for her wide range of down-to-earth columns that reflect the character and capture the culture of her famed city. Pulitzer Citation 2012

Well, you know the Irish and those who emulate them on St. Patrick's Day, are all ignorant beer swilling sots. My Gawd, all they do is swill beer, beat black children, breed and whine about Catholic school tuition for their spawn. Homophobic priest pawns is all they are, Don't you think?
Image result for anti irish cartoons
Don't You? Mary Schmich certainly does and wants you to know it!

Mary Schmich won the Pulitzer Prize for Journalism a few years ago, 'because she is just such an authentic Chicago voice' in much the same manner that Rahm Emanuel was an authentic Chicago Resident before the Burt Odelson challenge.

Well Ms Schmich has the prize and Rahm the fifth floor and St. Parick's Day gets two parades preceding the Feast of Saint Patrick on Wednesday March 17th.

Some years ago, the south side Irish called a halt to its parade, which I thought was foolish, due to the fact that the drunken brawlers were those persons who boarded buses from fern bars on the northside and JJJ MC Whatever's in Schuamberg and celebrated the Catholic saint by defecating an urinating on lawns, in gangways and in full view of little kids and then engage in brawls with home owners in the Beverly, Morgan Park and Mount Greenwood neighborhhoods - home to Catholic breeders.

Instead, the Parade should have equaled the Dioynsian celebrations enjoyed on Gay Pride Parade -unchecked, unabted and uncriticized, but every bit as 'extreme' as any south side Irish Parade I have eve witnessed ( 1950's-Present)

Note the depravity absent in both, Mary Schmich.

We shut down the South Side Parade and I think it was a bad idea and sent exactly the message bigots love -Drunks and pigs.

Organizers might have limited fern bar buses to 83rd & Western, asked the Corinthian revelers to discard any and all booze and enjoy a vigorous up-hill jaunt to the parade start at 103rd & Western.  What do I know?  It might have caused some uncomfortable socio-political feathers to wilt, or some extra manpower from Daley/Rahm City Hall.

The South Side Irish Parade is the only self-enforced zero-tolerance no booze event in this bullshit addicted city.

Downtown?  There's beer cans and hip-flasks aplenty.  Yet, a minimum of violence and no deaths. The south side Parade is as WCTU as any bull dyke reformer of the 19th Century could demand and almost as dignified as Swedish Day.

That said, Catholics and especially Irish Catholics remain the only punchline available for unchecked PC scolds, like Mary Schmich. Here is Pulitzer worthy prose?

The annual drunkfest known as St. Patrick's Day is coming soon to a Chicago street near you.
If you're not eager to be blotto by 11 a.m. Saturday, if you don't like mobs, brawls and people puking on the sidewalk, you may as well hide at home with Netflix until the middle of next week.
Did someone say "party pooper"?
Did someone say "old fart"?
Aye, lads and lassies, drunken name-calling is a time-honored St. Paddy's Day tradition.
Eric Zorn the pencil neck geek pen pal of Mary Schmich might scold me -"Ha'e you no sense of Humor?"

Yes, I might reply, when something has wit and is not cheap and cowardly shot at people who are pretty damn tolerant for all of their history and the crap tossed their way.

The Tribune was founded by Joseph Medill who hated Irish Catholics to the very marrow of his being - the culture of the Tribune, which won many honors due to the employment of Irish Catholics, by the way, is exactly the same as it was in 1871.  Image result for anti irish cartoons

Ridicule is only appropriate when it is deserved and should be limited to the powerful.  Mary Schmich is powerful and appropriately deserves 'lashins and lavins' of it. Mary Schmich will not warn us to avoid the St.Joseph's sweets table on March 19th, anymore than tell Chicagoans of all colors to leave the Glock at home on Bud Billiken Day, or to dress with some dignity on Pride Day and remember to wear a condom - we are stronger than AIDS.

Southsiders, Irish and others, are respected and reviled for their frank, heart-on-the-sleeves rejoinders, Mary. Mine sounds like Buck Hugh.

Francis Cardinal George, a Great Shepherd, Gets Wolf-packed by Tribune Editors and Public Ombudsman

Just in time for Sunday's Extended Gay Pride Parade, The Chicago Tribune treated Catholic Chicago with a shower of invective from harsh and less than "we agree-to-disagree" shouters in the Letters Section  ( June 20th).  The Tribune's Ombudsman for Public Opinion did his job for the ghost of Joe Medill, it is clear, because the lettters reflect only Medill's point view - Catholics and Cardinal George are bad, real bad people.

Quiet the contrary, Cardinal George maintains the Magisterium ( Google it, there Head-scratchers).

The same logic presented within the ugly and misleading comments below, including a chap whom I suspect just might be the brother and partner of notorious Homosexual Monologician Dan Savage.*  Dan and Bill demanded that Catholic high schools force their students to attend a Gay Happy play about the miseries of living according to one's faith.
Piling on and nipping at Cardinal George's heels are the Obama Care Mandate acolytes.
The Chicago Tribune Editorial Board and its Public Ombudsman continue a daffy control over thought and presentation of the news.  They have also set the table for this week-end's al fresco Anti Catholic hate-mongering during the long Gay promenade.

Money, mables, or chalk - there will be a caravan of ugly and vicious attacks on Cardinal George and the Catholic Church featured by signage and floats this Sunday.

Cardinal's words
When Cardinal Francis George urged parishioners to speak out against the federalcontraceptive mandate, he is setting both himself and other Catholics up for a charge of blatant hypocrisy ("Birth control edict stirs Catholics," News, June 17). What the cardinal is basically saying is that no one, including the government, should be able to tell the church what it can and cannot do. I would agree with this assertion.
However, the history of the Catholic Church and other religious institutions is to consistently dictate to others what they can and cannot do in their private lives. This includes women's reproductive choices, various gay issues and, of course, what we all do in our bedrooms. The list of personal activities that the church has tried to outlaw is quite long. I would urge the cardinal and other religious people to practice what they preach. If you want to be left alone to do as you see fit, then you must afford others that same right.eff Clauser, Chicago

Cardinal's hypocrisy Cardinal Francis George is correct when he says that "in a democracy, government should not play God."
I, and many other Catholics, would respond with the flip side of that coin: The church should not play government. The seemingly ceaseless attempts by the Roman Catholic Church to make its particular doctrines (against birth control, same-sex marriage, abortion) the law of the land show the cardinal's hypocrisy.
His eminence is perfectly happy if the United States government plays God according to the tune chosen by the Vatican. Bill Savage, Chicago (emphasis my own)

Cardinal's views Cardinal Francis George is quoted in the June 17 Tribune: "In a democracy, government should not play God."
Really? The cardinal and other religious leaders have no trouble inflicting their views regarding who can marry and reproductive rights on citizens of the democracy. Perhaps he should confine his views to his flock and refrain from imposing his religious views on the democracy.
In a democracy, God should not be allowed to play with governance — Aviva Tauman, Evanston

According to the Tribune, a speaker at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said, "We protect the freedom of religion because we think it is wrong to coerce belief" (News, June 14). They do? Cardinal Francis George lobbied against the state civil union law by attempting to force his religious beliefs on state legislators and Gov. Pat Quinn. George's vehement opposition to same-sex marriage is religious coercion. No one can marry in Illinois without first obtaining a state-issued marriage license. That makes marriage a civil right before it can become a religious rite.
Yet George would codify his religious beliefs into Illinois law by denying the civil right of marriage to same-sex couples.
In the name of his religious beliefs, George threatens the civil liberties of members of the gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgender community. He supports discrimination against gay couples when it comes to adopting children, civil unions and marriage equality.
All these things are forms of religious coercion.
— Bob Barth, Chicago

Cardinal George, Gay Marriage, The Tribune and Critics

"Here's Your Hat. What's Your Hurry?"

Cardinal George was ambushed by Mike Flannery and Dane Placko on Fox Chicago's WFLD newscast just before Christmas. Since then gay activists have howled like King Lear.

The Chicago Tribune has a long history of anti-Catholic bias and holds firm*.

Last week the editorial board of the Tribune termed Cardinal George's analogy that some gay activists are like the KKK bizarre.

What is bizarre is the fact that those activities are very much like the Ku Klux Klan of the early decades of the last century.

Early this morning, I attempted to comment on this letter published in the Chicago Tribune under the heading Cardinal George's Poor Leadership -

While Cardinal Francis George is entitled to his opinion, opponents of his nasty rhetoric are entitled to respond, especially the very people he compares to the KKK.

To compare homosexuals (who have themselves been targets of the KKK) to that hate group is reprehensible. Such language coming from a man who purports to be the spiritual shepherd of his church is particularly troubling. For George to be insensitive to the pain inflicted by his comparison reveals much about his heart and mind.

The Catholic Church George leads is not a casual bystander in the struggle of gays and lesbians to achieve the same rights, protections and dignities extended to heterosexuals. Rather, George has mounted a grand campaign to thwart the extension of civil rights to gays and lesbians. He can't claim to be an innocent victim in a struggle in which he leads a charge to keep gays and lesbians marginalized in society.

What he says and does in the church is his business, but when he mounts a soapbox in the public square, he's fair game for criticism. George is a poor example of a spiritual leader.

-- Todd Arkenberg, Arlington Heights

No, Mr. Arkenberg, Cardinal George is a good example of a spiritual leader. Cardinal George is standing for principle over coercion ( financial, political and now thanks to the Illinois Religious liberty and Civil Union Law, legal).

Leadership often gets the leader isolated, imprisoned and executed.

My comments were deleted, blocked, scratched, aborted, or euthanized, by the Chicago Tribune. Several times.

Here is what I wished to post:

Todd Arkenberg, Arlington Heights is passionate in his defense of Gay Activists and their attempts to cloud sexual preference and desire as a basic Civil Right. More so, his attempt to paint Cardinal George as a some kind of bigot is nonsense.

The faux outrage following Mike Flannery and Dana Placko's gottcha moment was orchestrated and pre-packaged. The meme "unfortunate comments" were rolled out by Illinois Greg Harris and Sara Feigenholtz on cue and the petition drive by Truth Will Out funded by Henry Van Ameringen and George Soros's Change.org set the wheels in motion.

The Catholic Church will not allow adultery by heterosexuals, homosexuals, onanists, or any other unique expression of desire be considered anything but a sin. Catholics who commit adultery must be reconciled with the Church through the Sacrament of Penance.

That will not change, no matter what the human heart believes desirable.

Cardinal George's comments equating the activism of some homosexuals to the KKK of the early decades of the last century were spot on - the KKK was mainstream and enjoyed the support of Planned Parenthood's Margaret Sanger. Like Gay Activism today the KKK also enjoyed the support of mainstream Christian Churches and fully 2/3's of all Klan lecturers were Protestant ministers.

Thank God** for a free exchange of ideas in a free American Press.

*
By late 1853, it was frequently running xenophobic editorials that criticized foreigners and Roman Catholics.[7] About this time it also became a strong proponent of temperance.[8] However nativist its editorials may have been, it was not until February 10, 1855 that the Tribune formally affiliated itself with the nativist American or Know Nothing party, whose candidate Levi Boone was elected Mayor of Chicago the following month.[9]

By about 1854, part-owner Capt. J. D. Webster, later General Webster and chief of staff at the Battle of Shiloh, and Dr. Charles H. Ray of Galena, Illinois through Horace Greeley convinced Joseph Medill of Cleveland's Leader to become managing editor. Ray became editor-in-chief, Medill became the managing editor, and Alfred Cowles, Sr., brother of Edwin Cowles, initially was the bookkeeper. Each purchased one third of the Tribune.[10][11] Under their leadership the Tribune distanced itself from the Know Nothings and became the main Chicago organ of the Republican Party.[12] However, the paper continued to print anti-Catholic and anti-Irish editorials.

Medill's Chicago Tribune Uses Penn State to Pile on Catholics

"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church—which is, of course, quite a different thing." Bishop Fulton J. Sheen

We do not really need a religion that is right where we are right. What we need is a religion that is right where we are wrong. G.K. Chesterton

Eric Zorn hates Catholics like a school-yard sneak hates getting caught -"We just playing. It was goofing around. What about them?"

It is a sign of one's Progressive street-cred to vilify a Catholic's beliefs, Catholic leadership, Catholic history, and above all Catholic Institutional failings, while protesting in a soft, silky, humming NPR tone that 'well its is all true. Is it not?'

Eric Zorn cuts to the core of the problem at Penn State by touting a Nast-like cartoon from the in-house paper hanger Stantis -Scott Stantis. I do not believe that there is a Roman Catholic bishop on the Board of Directors at Penn State. While Joe P is a practicing Catholic . . .that must be it! Scott Stantis, who couldn't carry Jack Higgins' jockstrap, evidently needs to draw that connection for the brie-eaters and they love it! Eric Zorn squeals -Stantis Brings It!

Random Bishops! Dude!

Scott Stantis is widely ignored (I was unaware of his body of work) and requires a pedestal. Eric Zorn (EZ), The Water Boy, a columnist and Progressive mouthpiece has a good sized readership. I read him for laughs.

The above cartoon deflects the problem at Penn State, a public school, onto the American Catholic Strawmen - Bishops. Bishops are the patriarchal, liver spotted, cassock-ed, mitre'd, people who are blamed for the NAMBLA* crises that has yet to be seriously addressed.

N.B. Odd. . .NAMBLA is cool with Progressives. Obama appointed a NAMBLA devotee to Arne Duncan's Dept. of Education.

The bishops deserve criticism and must wear the jacket for the priest abuse scandals for many more years.

It is easy to hate the Catholic Church. It is easy to hate. It is very hard work to be merely a good guy. It requires that we do things that we might not find easy to do, like teaching your children that respecting the differences found in some people does not require that you ignore the rules of Nature and moral truth. There have been homosexuals on or planet, since Sodom, Sparta, Boetia, and Christopher Street. The only homosexuals who had children were those on the 'down-low' like Oscar Wilde. Homosexuals married women. Oscar and Lord Alfred Douglas had no children. Impulse and desire do not make for normalcy.

Likewise, it is very difficult to teach my daughters as a widow-man, that the great gift of sex belongs only in the sacrament, because marriage between a man and woman is as much as protective womb as the one possessed by my two girls - young women. They have witnessed the mountain of problems a single parent has in trying to bring children up alone. Children need a mother and a father. My son learned early in life that gentleness and respect for a woman is the greatest body cologne in the world and it is far more attractive to a woman than a gallon of AXE.

The hardest thing to try and teach them is the fact that while we posses our bodies, they are not ours to keep. We can not choose to do what we want and when we want - we can not liberate ourselves when mood strikes. We can, but that is not different than being like Barney the Golden Lab who must dry-hump me on sight. Who's to say this is not Love?

Joseph Medill lovingly hated Catholics and the Chicago Tribune has kept that impulse alive and change.

Abortion and Gay Marriage are two huge Progressive agendas - they must be preserved and instituted. The Catholic Church is the only institution that stands in its way.

President Obama is making war on Catholic hospitals that do not push abortion and colleges that do not celebrate the Rainbow flag. Catholic politicians are okay with that.

Catholic Bishops are finally beginning to show some backbone. Archbishop Dolan of New York is the new Dagger John Hughes - who fought off anti-Catholic bigots through the mid 19th Century. Cardinal George has predicted that he will die in his bed, his successor in prison and that bishop's successor will be martyred for the Faith.

Eric Zorn and the third-rate Scott Stantis are doing all that they can do help make that come true. I hope that our next Cardinal is made of the stuff of martyrs. I like martyrs who give as well as get. I'd love to see someone with the youth and intelligence of Archbishop J.P. Sartain, formerly of Joliet and now Archbishop of Seattle step into Cardinal George's moccasins.

Catholics understand Progressives. We know that the wet-stuff running down the back of our legs is not the Showers of May.

The North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) is a pedophile and pederasty advocacy organization in the United States that works to abolish age of consent laws criminalizing adult sexual involvement with minors, and for the release of all men who have been jailed for sexual contacts with minors that did not involve coercion. Some reports state that the group no longer has regular national meetings, and that as of the late 1990s to avoid local police infiltration, the organization discouraged the formation of local chapters. An undercover detective around 1995 discovered that there were 1,100 people on the rolls. As of 2005 a newspaper report stated that NAMBLA was based in New York and San Francisco, and that it held an annual gathering in New York City and monthly meetings around the country.
NAMBLA has been defended by poet and rights advocate Allen Ginsberg[6][7] and gay rights activist Harry Hay.

Tribune Truth Commission: I Giggled All Through Mass

Illinois Progressive Machine - pols and union leaders do not mean Progressive Brahmins, or SEIU.

A Truth Commission, then, could cast light on these rampant abuses by pols and union leaders of rank-and-file workers and Illinois taxpayers. Then the rest of us taxpayers can apply whatever heat is necessary to enact significant reforms.

I heard today's Gospel read and immediately giggled like a six year old. The old bat next to me shushed me, not once but three times. "Grow up!" she hissed. As if.

I tried to stop giggling but God help me I could not. I so bad that I giggled all the way to the Communion rail. It was a Saturday Mass, so I guess that might absolve me a little bit.

It was funny. I had read Saturday's early on-line editorial in the Chicago Medill . . .Tribune. The Tribune is playing cold case investigation of the Illinois legislature, in order to find fault with 'somebody' for the current economic collapse that can be easily laid in the laps of the people who caused it - The Progressives.

Illinois is underwhelmed by revenue, because the Dawn Clark Netsch, Ain't She Great, poster-boy for pie-chart Marxism Ralph Martire has not been laughed out of the room for twenty years.

That is the essence of the problem; that, and the fact that Abner Mikva and other Brahmin's have not had a commission in a week or so. Abner Mikva chaired the Gaming Commission about ten years ago, that investigated Emerald Casino, that happened to be a pet project for ruin by the Tribune Editorial Board. Mikva killed Emerald's license to the nods and hushed awe of the progressive Machine. Illinois Gaming is now as pure as honey-dew vine water! Lord Ha' Mercy!

But at the bullshit buffet that is Illinois Progressive thought, one can not but guffaw.

Here's the Gospel passage from St. Matthew that got me in Dutch with the Shawlies all around me.

"What do you think? A man had two sons; and he went to the first and said, `Son, go and work in the vineyard today.

'And he answered, `I will not'; but afterward he repented and went.

And he went to the second and said the same; and he answered, `I go, sir,' but did not go.
Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the harlots believed him; and even when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him.

I see the first son as the legislators of 1991 - yeah, alright we'll get to it. Illinois was pretty flush with revenue back then -Saddam was launching SCUDS into Israel, Bubba was diddling Paula Jones and underaged Arkansas interns and the economy was flush and Jon Burge was fired as a cop. Shoot, the Red Chinese wanted to open more Soy Sauce works in Illinois.

Guess what? Dawn Clark Netsch was the Illinois Comptroller (Dawn Clark Netsch (1991-1995)! The Illinois Comptroller cuts the checks from the revenue that comes in.

The Comptroller is charged, by the terms of Section 17 of Article V of the Constitution of Illinois, with the duties of: (a) maintaining the central fiscal accounts of the state, and (b) ordering payments into and out of the funds held by the Treasurer of Illinois. In accordance with this duty, the Comptroller signs paychecks or grants approval to electronic payments made by the state to its employees and creditors.

Kind of a Truth Commissioner on the public larder. Well DCN was cool with the Comptrolling and then ran for Governor. Ain't She Great?

D.C. Netsch was an Illinois Legislator along with the bad guys litanized in the Chicago Medill . . .Tribune. Now, I am given to understand that Ms. Netsch was a 'wide-awake' eagle-eyed public servant who would, were she so inclined, swoop down on corrupt snakes and pluck them from the sand. Maybe not.

Public Unions got powerful because of the Progressive Machine and sapped Illinois Revenue and Progressives like D.C.Netsch foisted pie-chart pirate Ralph Martire on us all to dazzle the Chicago Medill . . .Tribune and other news hounds. Cry Bullshit! and let slip the dogs of whores. . . and other protected species in the food chain!

Lawsuit Lotto Lawyers began raping taxpayers over police torture, discrimination ( gay, racial, dietary, you name it), SEIU became Big Labor, Wages became determined by legislation and not collective bargaining. More Ain't She/He Great Progressive Brahmins were no longer laughed out of the room. They became somebodies, by dint of appointments.

The second son in the Gospel is the Media - they say they will go into the vineyard and grunt and sweat, but they only manage to get Abner Mikva a paid commission, Ralph Martire a steady income flow, the Better Government Association stocked with pikers who stalk truck drivers and plumbers to catch them napping and after Illinois has gone to Shit, trot out salaries.

Truth Commission? Oh, Hell yeah. Why not.

How many tax-dollars have gone to Education programs mandated for Illinois schools to advocate abortion, Homosexual Marriage, idiotic sex education curricula and other hot button Progressive agendas?

How many millions of tax dollars have gone to make SEIU and the other lesser light public employee boon-doggles?

How many billions of dollars have gone to studies, commissions and retreats to tell us that the middle class is not paying enough for Green Initiatives, Reversing the Chicago River, and High Speed Rails?

How many gazillions of taxpayer dollars have not only fattened the wallets of Cadillac Commie lawyers, but also over-turned the convictions of thugs and killers?

One final question? Why did it take twenty years and the absence of the powerful from public life for the Chicago Medill . . .Tribune to pretend to grow a pair?

Media! Wake up! Kevin Clark is still getting the Full Medill Camoflage Job!

The Full Medill Metro Media, boys and girls!

Kevin Clark is the éminence grise in the grey tweed looking like the cat who swallowed someone's canary of this dandy quartet.
.
Decked out like the Hamas Guerrilla that he is Kevin Clark, a local louse with a free pass to mouth off hate against Jews and get kids killed ( which he did with ISM) did the splits and waved pom -pons for terror in front of the Israeli Consulate immediately after the Gaza Hate Flotilla was interdicted by Israel.

This cockroach Clark has been getting the full Medill from journalists in Chicago.

The full Medill is the three monkeys of reporting -see no evil, hear no evil, report no evil - Thus:

Bill Ayers is a Distinguished Professor and not a pampered gutless sneak.

Bernardine Dohrn is a Northwestern Law Professor and not a convicted felon serial hit and run driver and dedcated terrorist

G. Flint Taylor is Peoples Advocate and not a syrupy ambulance chaser who wrassles Gator Bradley for nickels on the Courthouse Floor

SEIU is Labor Union and not a Marxist PAC that is destroying the Middle Class

The Full Medill is named for Old Joe Medill an anti-Catholic Bigot whose twisted doctrines are imprinted on generations of students who never raise their hands.

Here is today's Full Medill on goof Kevin Clark.

The Rachel Corrie, sailing from Ireland, is the largest of the four crafts carrying desperately needed medicines, school supplies, and food, said Kevin Clark, the Chicago coordinator for the International Solidarity Movement. Named after an American citizen killed by a bulldozer while protesting the demolition of homes in the Gaza Strip, the Corrie was part of the original nine- vessel fleet that became embroiled in the international incident, but due to unspecified delays it idled in the Mediterranean during the crisis, he said.

Kevin Clark helped push goad enocourage Rachel Corrie to get in front of an Israeli bulldozer in Gaza in 2004.

Kevin Clark pushed, goaded, encouraged six(6) dimwitted kids to toss phony blood all over kids, the elderly and the carpet at Holy Name Cathedral at Easter Mass in 2008 so Kevin Clark could preen and pout and pose CLTV for the Gay Liberation Network.

Chicago's Media monkeys see no evil -hear no evil and report no evil.

Grow a metaphorical pair you gelded hypocrites.

I guess you can't pick a fight with eunuchs; you can't expect much from moral cripples; you can't shame a skunk.

Killing the Legendary Pump Room - Tribune Shilling for the New Owners?

Note to the Tribune reporter - witness the dearth of Tom Collins glasses? No glass black panthers adorn the tables either. Martinis seem to be the drink to order.

I just left a crowded Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here on the south side of Chicago. Father Gallagher gave a beautiful and simple homily about the need to accept God's will - the parable of the Chaff and Wheat.

Weeds grow up with the grain and louses, creeps, thugs and low-lifes thrive among simple, hard working, generous and wonderful people. What we want is not important, but what we do with what we are given and how we treat others is all that matters.

The Mass was thick with Catholics - Croatians, Irish, Italian, Mexican, African American worshippers - and as if to add a poignancy to Father Gallagher's homily a wildly obnoxious loud and disruptive crack-pipe aficionado who snorted, farted, fidgeted and interjected occasional commands of "Hey, Boss! Boss! Over here! I'm worshipping. God Bless You." At the hand shake of peace following the Pater Noster, the pipe smoker was greeted with "Peace be with You." and pressings of the flesh.

Not expected and yet ironically welcomed, the gent stumbled out of the pew as Holy Communion was administered bounced down Sacred Heart's narrow and rickety stairs. After Mass, Our Sunday Visitor, the crack-piper, was still bouncing his way from car-to car in the crowded parking lot on 117th & Church Street.

The presence of the crack head only made Father Gallagher's homily more beautiful.

We are all in this Vale of Tears and Garden of God together.

Chicago's Pump Room in the Ambassador East Hotel is a secular temple and house of comfort to travelers and revelers.

The Pump Room has hosted celebrities and helots for decades. Last week, the Chicago Tribune trashed the Pump Room with this sophomoric and whiny narrative by a disappointed reporter. With one visit to the legendary Pump Room, reporter Lauren Viera swept the decades of service, welcome and grace long attributed to the Pump Room into the gutter:

In my recent hunt for the perfect Chicago hotel bar, I was after a particular mood. I wanted to find a classy lounge of yore: dark colors and textures typical of a private club; perhaps a hint of a bygone golden age, with history hanging heavy in the air, and long nights of lounging worn deep into leather booths. And most of all, I wanted well-executed classic cocktails, worthy of predictably inflated price tags.

Check out how we rate Chicago's hotel bars on a scale of one through five.

My first stop was at the Drake Hotel's Coq d'Or, which opened Dec. 6, 1933 — the day after Prohibition was repealed in the United States. Fortunately, the lounge's classy ambiance has changed little in the 76 years since. The burgundy-colored leather booths, the gilded finishes, the tuxedoed bartender — all accounted for. But ask for a Tom Collins, the classic gin-based sour long drink that has been ordered with multiple variations since the 1870s, and you're lucky if it's served in the appropriate tall-glass tumbler (which, incidentally, is named for the drink). At Coq d'Or, my watered-down Collins-mix cocktail was served in a hurricane glass drowning in ice.The Ambassador East Hotel's famous Pump Room was by far the most disappointing, considering its storied history. Opened in 1938, it was at one time the go-to hotel lounge in Chicago, frequented by Marilyn Monroe, Paul Newman and the like.

On my visit, I was one of just three patrons sitting in the bar and still had to wait five minutes before the bartender on duty, concentrating intently on his handheld device, finally took notice. In reply to my Tom Collins request, he produced a watery vodka-soda, splashed with Rose's lime juice, served in a pint glass.

Only after I asked him how he made the drink did he pause, brows furrowed, and ask, "What's in a Tom Collins, anyway?" After hearing out the recipe and trying his hand at a fresh drink, he set it down in front of me apologetically and said, "You should always get what you want. Especially when you're out."

What I want, I'm afraid, doesn't exist anymore.
( click my post title for the full nonsense)

Heavens! A Tom Collins? Why not an Arrack Swedish Punsch, Black Velvet(Guinness & Champagne)The Doctor, or a Diki-Diki? All cocktails.

The Tom Collins is ordered with all the frequency of Keeley's Half & Half, Drewrys, Meister Brau, Andecker, and Grain Belt beers.

AS an old bartender ( Mike Doorhy's Mayfair West at 63rd & Mozart, Connelly's Tap at 63rd & Hamlin and Pete's Guiding Light at 63rd & Pulaski/Reilly's Daughter Pub on 111th, OB Joes at 111th & Sacramento and Leo's Riverside Tap on the Kankakee River), I knew my Mr. Boston Cocktail Bible.

Tom Collins - Voila!

2 ounces gin;1 ounce lemon juice, (freshly squeezed, if possible);1 teaspoon confectioner's sugar;Club soda -Add the first three ingredients for your Tom Collins drink to a cocktail shaker half filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously long enough to chill, about 30 seconds.

Pour the strained cocktail ingredients into a Tom Collins glass or similar tall glass filled almost to the top with ice cubes. Top off with the club soda. Stir and serve with a straw.
Possible garnishes for your Tom Collins drink are an orange or lemon slice. Some people add a maraschino cherry.

I tried to imagine how this reporter would have reviewed Father Gallagher's Mass. The crack head sat directly behind me at Mass and next to Mrs. Scanlon. Mrs. Scanlon ( an eighty something widow) did not slide away from our Sunday Visitor, but accepted him as her pew mate.

Lauren Viera, it seems to me would have recoiled in utter and loud horror, demanded that the smelly drug addled gent be tossed from the house of worship and then pen a pithy missive of condemnation to the Cardinal.

Sometimes you a get a bum drink. Order something else - something less obscure.

The Pump Room continues to be a great and gracious place for an elegant time with wonderfully talented and fun people ( Max, Steve, Jesse, Bob, Angel, Gloria, James, Yancey et.al.) and handsomely mixed cocktails. The staff of bartenders ( Angel is # 1.) are exacting in the ministrations of the mixologist's arts and more so attentive to the point being family members.

When the Chicago Tribune wants something killed it dances the Joe Medill jig all over it. Might the Chicago Tribune being doing the new owner a service? Provide bum reviews and scare off potential visitors?

An honest reporter would have asked for some other cocktail, if the bartender seemed flustered by such a dated order - something else, or at least had the grace to come back again.

The crack head might be back next Sunday, but so will Mrs. Scanlon and all the other worshipers. Likewise, people who know better than some of the Dinny The Dimwits at the Chicago Tribune - a huge demographic that - will crowd the Pump Room.

God separates the chaff from the wheat.
