"Comments Off" - Sum Total of Illinois Media Integrity re Pritzker Firing of Mark Konkol

When Dave McKinney of the Chicago Sun Timjes resigned, because then Sun Times owner's ties to then candidate Bruce Rauner and long-running he-said-she-said embroglio, the media locked shields like Vikings.

That was then.
McKinney resigned following what he called “disturbing developments” after reporting a story critical of Rauner. In his resignation letter, he says the firewall protecting independent journalism was breached. Meanwhile, the Sun-Times abruptly brought back editorial endorsements, supporting its onetime owner Bruce Rauner without having interviewed either Rauner or Gov. Pat Quinn.
Mark Konkol was cashiered by the same News Group currently owned by SEIU and run by Edwin Eisnedrath, after ten days and cover art that hair-lipped JB Pritzker and all of the beneficiaries of his . . .largesse.

This is now.

No media outrage.   No Emile Zola for Konkol's Dreyfuss.

  • No, Neil Steinberg opaque ouvere.
  • No Mark Brown nosing.
  • No Eric Zorn squeak.
  • No Carol Marin press conference.
Only Rober Feder bothered to report on the disgraceful treatment of a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter at the hand of in-the-tank management of Illinois' mercury spined  ink slingers.  You will no hissy-fitting columnist, objecting to the termination of Mark Konkol.

Here is the best example of the mind-set of our in-the-tank Illinois media - Capitol Fax Blog

News aggregator and Progressive Democrat activist Rich Miller's Capitol Fax Blog lays out the corpse with yellow-bellied snark but dis-invites the mourners:

Konkol out at Chicago Reader after “tumultuous ten days”Saturday, Feb 17, 2018* The Chicago Reader has been suffering serious turmoil since its new executive editor Mark Konkol took over. Konkol fired the paper’s editor by phone just after the editor got off a plane returning from his honeymoon, killed the transportation writer’s respected column, nixed a couple of columns by longtime Reader columnist Ben Joravsky and lost another columnist after publishing a racist front page cartoon featuring JB Pritzker sitting on a black lawn jockey ornament. Word from inside was that the paper itself could be in peril.
Sun-Times Media owns the Reader and here’s its CEO Edwin Eisendrath
I am announcing today the departure of Mark Konkol from the Reader. Mark came to the publication bringing great hope for a new direction and a new life to a storied brand. Sometimes things don’t work out as planned. A tumultuous ten days culminated in the publication of a Reader cover that we believe was not in line with either our vision for the Reader or that storied history. We wish Mark well.
While controversy is sometimes seen as part and parcel of the alternative weekly world, we believe it’s necessary in this instance to apologize to anyone who was offended by this week’s cover. The published cover in my view distracted from the publication as a whole.
The reporters at the Reader work hard to be great journalists. They can and will take on the toughest stories — including issues of race, injustice and people struggling to be heard.
We will put in place interim leadership and plan for the future.

Comments Off!  Ouch.

Illinois is fixed, to quote the brilliant Dan Proft.  Illinois is a rigged game.  The news media plays for one side - the side that is screwing voters; Bruce Rauner plays for that side.

Mark Konkol paid the price for speaking out turn.   There are no and there will be no media types coming to Mark Konkol's defense.

His voice was silenced, because fair is, after all, fair.

This is Illinois - a Banana Republic run by oligarchs.

Take a GOP ballot and vote for Jeanne Ives. Unfix this sad State.

Ceasefire: Throwing Money on a Blood Soaked Street

Ceasefire was ceased back in March of 2015.   That means simply that Ceasefire received no more State Money from us to them.

Ceasefire's web page commands, Cure Violence.  Well, Ceasefire is smoked, salted, honeyed and cured like any great piece of pork and it is done.

Now, the Illinois voices that depend upon Illinois Alzheiner's (IA) are calling for the return of cash to Ceasefire $$$$$$. Illinois Alzheimer's- voters forget everything, every screwing, every promise, every election.  IA is the only explanation for the continued public life of Dick Durbin, Jan Schakowsky, Mike Quigley, Forrest Claypool, Toni Preckwinkle, 90% of the Chicago City Council and the guy from over by Midway, what runs the State. IA allows Ralph Martire to continue to pie-chart Illinois into the poor house.  IA allows Lisa Madigan to shine the light on workers and not the real gonifs - SEE Above.

Illinois Alzeheimers is chronic, progressive and fatal.

IA comes from being a person of normal intelligence, generous sentiments and modest income being too afraid to tell his neighbors, that 'No, I do not think that Andy Shaw is not a goof, I do believe that WBEZ is as lame as Derrick Rose, I am not with Hillary, Abortion is always killing a baby and the Sun Times is the Tribune with more wasted space.'

This fear being termed a Tea Party Palin-ite, Earth Hating, Meat Eating, Cretinous Downton Abbey Ignorant, Trumper Bumper Sticker, Racist Homophobe is all too real and has made all of us afraid to speak our minds and our expeinces, for fear that Bill Moyers will pop out the bushes and DEFINE US!  Being defined by other people who need social reassurances verfied by WTTW, only hurts once.  You get over it. It gets better and that is the Savage Truth.

Now, Ceasefire is back on the tongues of people taking the Metra to the Merc, looking for great seats to Hamilton and finding just the right candelabra for the last picnics of the summer at Ravinia.

Only last night I heard a jazz fan at the Serbian Village, a Chicago Police Officer say, " Ceasefire will get funded, but cops will get railroaded out of existence."  I agreed and we listened to the music, Waiting for the Train to Come In.

Rich Miller's Capitol Fax Blog - the Illinois Clearing House of Budget Scams and Legislation lashing, is all in for Ceasefire. Miller offers a hand-wringing lament over the numbers of Chicago's fallen citizens,
Today’s number: 425
Monday, Aug 22, 2016
* Tribune…
Through Sunday, 425 people were slain in Chicago, up 50 percent from 283 in a year-earlier period, according to official police statistics. During the same period, shooting incidents rose by 48 percent to 2,136, up from 1,443, the data show.
Other violent crimes such as sexual assaults, robberies and aggravated batteries also have spiked by double digits.

 - uptown progressive - Monday, Aug 22, 16 @ 11:11 am:
There is no magic bullet - but in my community we lost CeaseFire funding (violence interrupters) and the CCBYS funding (crisis intervention with at-risk youth) was greatly reduced. No expansion in youth employment opportunities or for fully funded afterschool programing. These programs do make a difference.

Examples, please?  No?

 - Earnest - Monday, Aug 22, 16 @ 11:31 am:
>These programs do make a difference.
If only Rauner worried that his intentional destruction of the social service system could result in him appearing “soft on crime.”

Examples, please,  of Ceasefire bringing thug violence to a $hit-screaming halt? One deep thinker lamented the fact that blood is not spilled in Switzerland Chicago -

- cassandra - Monday, Aug 22, 16 @ 12:02 pm:
Let’s not forget that some parts of Chicago are said to be a safe as Switzerland, and those of us who live in or near Chicago know which these (predominantly white, upper-middle-class) areas are.
Chicago is deeply segregated, by race and economic status. More police and social services and persuading more folks to get married may help around the edges, but it is persistent segregation which must be addressed–and isn’t being addressed adequately at any level of goverment. Too risky for our political masters, I guess.

Well, Ride the Nine Down on my Broad Manly White Ass!   I live in Geneva!  Morgan Park!

That same Monday morning, The Better Government Association's Andy Shaw thundered loudly for all of us to "Think Ouside the Box" on thug violence ( often referred to as gun, or police violence in the Media), including opening the coffers to Tio Hardiman's Ceasefire Interrupters and Gang-banger Alumni Association
Are there any solutions?  While we’re waiting for City Hall and CPD to implement reforms spelled out several months ago in a task force report, including a new agency to replace the ineffectual Independent Police Review Authority, other well- intentioned suggestions are surfacing:
Veteran Chicago journalist Jim O’Shea, writing in the Sun-Times, encourages CPD to resurrect the Cease Fire program that enlists former gang members and ex-convicts to work with police to curb violence.
O’Shea points to the program’s impact over the July 4th weekend in Englewood last year—no homicides or shootings—compared with 11 shootings this year, after the program was sidelined by insufficient funding and CPD’s reluctance to work with the group.
“City officials and the Chicago Police Department,” O’Shea writes, “seem willing to try anything to stop the violence…except something that actually works.”
Los Angeles police chief Charlie Beck and civil rights lawyer Connie Rice, writing in the New York Times, argue for the kind of sophisticated community policing that’s reduced violence in some of LA’s toughest sections.
Success, they write, depends on communities cooperating with “humane, compassionate, culturally fluent cops who have a mind set of respect, do not fear black men, and serve long enough to know residents’ names, speak their language and help improve their neighborhoods.”
Microphone!!!!!!!

Ceasefire has done . . .nothing to stop, curb. or hinder thug violence.

LA is not Chicago, Andy. Chicago is more like Philly, Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland, or Baton Rouge, because the Media, the political oligarchs. academics and Marxist lawyers have destroyed policing.

The answer to the problem is radical.  Stop listening to morons, grifters and Reds.  Even more radical - start voting out the morons, grifters and Reds.  That is how one avoids Illinois Alzheimers.

Henry Van Not the Klan - Gay Networks War on Chicago's Cardinal George

Chris Pennock and event sponsors David Hollander and Henry van Ameringen at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Leadership Awards

Meet Henry Van Ameringen - Henry is helping fund the petition drive against Chicago's Cardinal George.

Cardinal George is now the target of a petition signed by 1,000 persons from around the country, as radical Gay activists mobilize their hearts, hands and voices in a national shriek.

With multi purpose Soros funded push by Change.Org - Gay Activists are doing their best to make Catholics uncomfortable. We're Okay. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

However, such actions and the very cooperative nature of a not very bright American media can confuse some people . . . who happen to be very confused from the get-go.

The fact is that the Roman Catholic Church sponsors more Gay friendly services than any LGBTQ Advocacy meet-up and shout center. Full Medical HIV-AIDS services, psychological services and counselling are available because the Catholic Church has been in the fore-front for Gays, just as it has been for children, battered women, convicts, the elderly, the disabled, the challenged and most of all the unborn.

Cardinal George spoke to two very limited context occupants, Mike Flannery and Dane Placko of Chicago Fox WFLD affiliate in Chicago. Mike Flannery is best known for his obsequious shadowing of President Obama and Dane Placko is noted for . . .having a job at Fox 32.

Cardinal George made the point that some Gay Activist employ rhetoric used by the KKK in the 1920's - it was virulently anti-Catholic. The Catholic Church is opposed to Gay Marriage and LGBTQ activists are anti-Catholic, including some Rainbow Sash members. Dane Placko asked Cardinal George, "What Rhetoric?"

Here is some found in the comments of the Chicago Tribune -

The Catholic Church is just as much a hate group as the Klan is, wasting tens of millions of dollars trying to suppress, oppress, demean, degrade, and deny all LGBT citizens of all faiths.
Jesus would never have collected or spent Catholic riches this way; instead, He would have provided food, clothing, shelter, health care, and education to those who need it most.
"Demonstrating in the streets" is a time-honored American principle, and nothing that any religious leader has any right to prohibit, prevent, or proscribe.
Chicago Archbishop Cardinal Francis George, like most of his colleagues, is at least 60 years out of date. The "Gay Liberation" he fears began in the 1960s and finished in the 1970s. It was succeeded by gay rights in the 1980s, civil rights in the 1990s, and human rights in the 2000s. Cardinal George thinks it’s still the 1950s.
The dirty little secret feared by the cardinal and his cronies is that if gays ever get liberated, then most Catholic priests will get liberated, too. And once they are, those priests will have no reason to remain enslaved to a religion which preaches that they’re evil, when they can just re-dedicate their lives to God and mankind through most other religions.
Under Cardinal George, the Roman Catholic Church is just a holy holdout for Klansmen wearing fancier robes, with more jewelry, and following the same superstitions.

Interesting that it is Cardinal George who actually shares so many of the bigoted views of the Klan, yet he now tries to deflect attention from the child rape by Catholic clergy with this dishonest attack. Interesting that this Cardinal's hateful comparison and paranoia comes just when the Dutch Catholic Church has acknowledged that children in its care are twice as likely to be raped by clergy than they would be outside of these Catholic child-abuse mills. I think he forgets that it is not he who decides who may march in parades and what Americans may protest. I am disappointed, and wonder whether some medical issue has hampered this man's mental faculties. Whether his motivation is bigotry or inability to reason, he should apologize to gays whom he has slandered, and then he must resign in disgrace.

Placko - listen up! Remember Terry Cosgrove last November -rhetoric My Man.

Flannery -Nice set up.

Immediately after the Fox broadcast - Rich Miller of Capital Fax Blog who takes coin from Democratic Party lobbyists and operatives - largely - as well as PACs and offers news tid-bits - went flat out for the Democratic voices for Rep. Harris, Gov. Quinn and Terry Cosgrove. Rep. Sara Feigenholz mimed the meme "unfortunate" over the Cardinal's remarks

Well, Greg and Sara, Fortune Favors the Bold. we shall see.

Openly gay State Rep. Greg Harris (D-Chicago), whose district includes the Gay Pride parade route, criticized the Cardinal’s “unfortunate choice of words.” Harris predicted “it probably will provoke other unfortunate words ” from some gay activists.
State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) also weighed in on the statement, telling ChicagoPride.com, "The Cardinal's unfortunate choice of words in comparing the LGBT community to the Klu Klux Klan is offensive. ... I would hope an apology be forthcoming."

Gay activists need the Catholic Church neutralized in order to move from Civil Unions to Homosexual Marraige.

Governor Terry Cosgrove, Quinn Appointee and PAC Boss, Controls the Narrative and Cardinal George Takes Another Beating

Cardinal George and the Bishops of Illinois walked right into a PR buzz-saw again.

The men of the cloth were doing their job. For decades, politicians who have weaseled their way into office with mountains of cash and 'in-king' help from Advocacy Empires - Planned Parenthood, LGBTQ Rainbows, High Speed Rail Enthusiasts, Green Commandos and any other Progressive sanctioned cause. The Catholic Church hierarchy like Catholics themselves shrugged and gave a 'No Biggie' blind eye to the divorce from First Principles.

Within the narrative mantle of the Jesus Christ Superstar theology espoused by theological less-lights, the Progressive agenda grabbed armfuls of Quinns, Daleys, Quigleys and other Democratic elected officials who needed to step away from the Ward Image and get a {progressive blow-dried, gelled and spangled make over as Caring Christians.

The Caring Christians gave us our legislative purgatory - Abortion on demand and paid for, free condoms at schools, even Catholic schools that were converted as Charter Schools, the gate-way to Gay Marriage - The Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act, which immediately mad war on Catholic Charities.

Now, that the pig is out of the pen the Catholic Bishops of Illinois are trying to keep the Progressive Piggies from going feral.

Last week, The Illinois Bishops behind Cardinal George blasted Pat Quinn for appearing at an event sponsored by Terry Cosgrove's Personal PAC a political cash cow of Illinois Planned Parenthood. Terry Cosgrove blessed Alexi Giannoulias when the young Greek banking scion decided to test the political waters. That was my first introduction to Terry Cosgrove.

When Blagojevich's Lt. Governor stepped in as Governor and served out his term, Terry Cosgrove kept the Progressive Machine oiled and ready. Pat Quinn would be Terry Cosgrove's guy and he surely is that and change.

Quinn played Union Crusader, while Terry Cosrove deconstructed GOP candidate Bill Brady.

Quinn immediately rewarded Terry Cosgrove with a key appointment and took his marching orders from the pan-Advocacy Czar. Civil Unions was the only union that Quinn took care of in Illinois. Quinn killed the Death Penalty and pardoned scores of miscreants. He's a Christian; Hallelujah!

The Illinois economy is a joke, but the Advocacy Issues are the only things being tended to, while business as usual loots tax-payers.

Terry Cosgrove is the Governor of Illinois in all but name.

When the Catholic Bishops of Illinois criticized the self-proclaimed Catholic Quinn for appearing on stage with Personal PAC - which is all about Abortion - Terry Quinn . . .Cosgrove, I know ( Terry Quinn is a famous comedian and Pat Quinn is an Illinois Joke) turned on the media buzz saw.

The Chicago Sun Times, immediately trotted out the woman, unnamed in the Bishops' statement as our Victime de la semaine, Father Carol Marin
preached a sermon again about Compassion, and this morning the Capitol Fax Blog of Rich Miller set Cosgrove's table. Miller is an information outlet for politicos and journalists who depends upon the good will of Democratic pols and PACS.

Miller castigates the Cardinal's spokesman -

Director Gilligan has been very aggressive with his attacks on Gov. Quinn. I doubt they’ll subside, but perhaps Gilligan will be more precise in the future. He obviously didn’t give the Cardinal and others the full story before they unloaded both barrels on Gov. Quinn last week. Perhaps a little more thought and reflection are in order here.

Fatuous, Brother Miller fatuous! Rich Miller is Mr. Insider and he knows full well what the Cardinal and the Bishops objected to in the first place last week and it had nothing to do with Rape, Victims, or a Victim much less Precision in journalism and politics. Precisely!

Perhaps, Mr. Gilligan does not take his orders from SEIU, the lobbyists, or the swell gang around the troughs in Springfield. Rich Precision Miller will attack Speaker Madigan, because Speaker Madigan could could care less. Speaker Madigan knows what he is doing and he never walks into any buzz-saws, unlike Cardinal George and the other clerical victims.

Illinois Speaker Mike Madigan gets staked out as a goat every few days for the Progressive Two Minute Hate, because he is the only professional politician in Springfield. More so, the the progressives need him. Speaker Madigan rarely speaks. Terry Cosgrove controls the narrative for Illinois.

If the Cardinal and the Catholic Leadership want to make some progress at all in preserving the doctrinal and institutional life for Catholics and checking the juggernaut that is Progressive Advocacy PACSs, they had better get wise to Governor Terry Cosgrove. The man is powerful and he is vicious.

The Catholic hierarchy walked right into the Terry Cosgrove media buzz-saw.

People of good will do not control the media, much less Springfield.

Play like cupcakes and the bishops will get burned every time. Cardinal George, Christ said to "turn the other cheek." He did not say " Punch With Your Face."

O'Donnell Abu! Delaware Outsider Clocks Mike Castle! Chicago- R. Emmett Tyrrell Might Do Just That . . . Not to Mike Castle Of Course -O'Donnell Did

. . .On with O'Donnell then! Fight the good fight again!
Sons of TyrConnell are valiant and true!
Make the proud Saxon feel Erin's avenging steel!
Strike! For your Country! O'Donnell abu!
O'Donnell Abu (The Clan Connell War Song)(M.J.McAnn cir. 1843)

Great tune! And now the tune-up!

One of Rich Miller's Sock Puppets at Capitol Fax Blog reacted to the news that R. Emmett Tyrrell, founder and editor-in-chief of The American Spectator, a West Side Chicago native and Fenwick Alumnus, stated his interest in running for Mayor Chicago.

- IrishPirate - Tuesday, Sep 14, 10 @ 12:33 pm:

Tyrrell is thinking of running?

Pat Hickey’s hands must be sweaty and I bet his heart skipped a beat. Alan Keyes isn’t available?

If Vdrolyak runs I imagine Hickey might not even be able to type because of all the excitement. The word “vapors” comes to mind.

Does “R Emmett’The Clown’ Tyrrell even live in Chicago?

In some cases people seem to forget that you have to actually live in Chicago or at least be a “resident” of Chicago for one year prior to the election. I’ve seen reports touting candidates who live and are registered in the suburbs.

http://thecapitolfaxblog.com/2010/09/14/daley-retirementpalooza-continues-unabated/#comments

Sweaty hands? Well, IP Old Son, this 19th Ward Democrat has ice water in his political veins. Guys call and ask, "Want Yard Sign?" Sure put 'em over there. Get excited about elected officials? Please. I get excited when they change the deli counter at County Fair and at Calabria Imports, but excited about candidates? No, Sock Puppet, I am much older than six years of age. Little kids get loopy about colored balloons and buttons. I vote or help only good girls and boys.

Kelly Burke, Johnny O'Sullivan, Dan Lipinski, Bridgey Gainer, Mary Flowers, Paul "The Wall" Vallas, Ray Wardingly, Ed Maloney, Kathy Meany, Alexi Giannoulias, Pat Quinn, Terry Peterson, Tommy Dart, & etc.

Tommy Dart is a gent! He's broke, Tapioca( an homage to Mike Houlihan's Epic Comedy), bereft of funds, short on dough-ray-me, but very good guys are putting the idiot-stick on the money rake handle. You know, the reaaacccchhhh extenders that painters use. Shortly, Tom Dart will have more Hundos and Grants up around his knees than people living on 107th & Troy had flood waters in their basements.

Rahmbo is the media darling. He needed to buy off opponents when he ran for congress and import talent to ring door bells. But, he is really smart . . .the media keep saying that.

Meeks is not Gay Friendly.

La Pappas runs like a baton-twirling deer!

Terry Peterson is the guy to watch. Powerful folks were holding fund-raisers for Terry years ago and I went to them. If I had Terry's money, I'd throw mine away. More importantly, Terry Peterson knows government and he knows politics and that is what has been sadly missing from the Mayor's Office for decades.

Nah, Bob Tyrrell will enter the lists and challenge the Pie-Chart Dopes like Ralphie Martire who has bankrupted every branch of government that gives him time and money.

Rich Miller's political clearing house, Capitol Fax Blog, is a juicy, snark permitted, closed club of full agreement. The Miller Sock Puppets like Irish Pirate and my personal favorite Skeeter seem like government employed operatives with dogs in the fight. Could be. Who cares? It is a Democratic Club aad very Clubby - CFB blinks and flinches every time SEIU lifts its chubby arm.

Now, the news this AM tells us about the "clowns" and "outsiders" and "scary people" who still manage to win by huge margins, because voters are sick to death of Closed Clubs - GOP and Democrat.

This babe O'Donnell had the world on her back in her busines and still clobber GOP Marque Kirque Look-alike - Mike Castle:

DOVER and WILMINGTON, Del. -- Conservative activist Christine O'Donnell scored an upset victory in Delaware's Republican Senate primary on Tuesday, defeating longtime congressman Mike Castle 53 percent to 47 percent.

O'Donnell's surprising win marked yet another triumph for the Tea Party movement and may have ended the Republican Party's hopes of regaining control of the Senate in November. Polls have shown O'Donnell trailing far behind Democratic nominee Chris Coons, the New Castle county executive.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the people of Delaware have spoken: No more politics as usual," O'Donnell told an ecstatic crowd of campaign volunteers at her election night celebration in Dover. "Don't ever underestimate the power of ‘We The People.'"

In her victory speech, a beaming O'Donnell called for Republican Party unity, but she did not mention Castle by name.

Asked by RealClearPolitics while leaving the stage on Tuesday night whether Castle had called her to concede, O'Donnell said, "No, not yet."

What a Pound Off! We have plenty of similar Pound Offs in Illinois Public life - snark permitted.

Chicago Journalism - Sneering or Steering: Rich Miller Sneers at 47th Ward Working Stiffs

Sneering is one of the occupational hazards of journalism. It is also one of the most inexcusable. For no one ever sneered without intending to amuse some by hurting others.
Kevin Myers - The Irish Independent
and then here in Illinois we have snarkly little Rich Miller, Eric Zorn, & etc.

Voila!

Question of the day

Thursday, Feb 11, 2010

* Who were the biggest losers on primary day? No snark*, please, and fully explain all your answers. Thanks.
Rich Miller - The Capitol Fax Blog

Anyone over the age of twelve who employs the term snark in prose should be hand tailored into a tight fitting Pork Chop Suit and placed in an Englewood Pit Bull arena - with very high and greasy walls.

Jesus Christ Almighty! These prissy mopes probably say 'Off the Hook!' and 'It's Money!' and watch Jonas Brothers on You Tube! I tend to sneer at powerful and influential people who nevertheless need to belittle powerless and voiceless people.
I will probably go to Hell for sneering ( an eternity of NPR/Studs Terkel Ramblings & etc), but at least I do not snark.

Snark means you are too tired, wan and Oh So bored to make a snide remark and thus snark. I am vigorous! A vigorous pain in the ass, to be sure, but Vigorous! I readily sneer at powerful and fatuous Puffer Fish.

Snark is one of our Birkenstock neologisms meant to allow one to sneer at someone or thing and somehow avoid a much needed ass-kicking.

Last Thursday, Rich Miller's snark-free Capital Fax Blog asked readers and commenters to tally whom they felt to be The Biggest Losers in the Illinois Primary. This followed the previous Day's Snark Free
catalog of winners.

Snarkless Rich Miller tallied his own losers to include this

- Rich Miller - Thursday, Feb 11, 10 @ 11:19 am:
. . . 47th Ward Regular Democratic Organization: The hacks can’t hack it no more. In fact, they haven’t been able to hack it for years. Ann Williams was the final nail in their pathetic coffin.
Snark, snark, snark (cough) and snark Again!

Euphues - the Anatomy Wit in Illinois needs a proctologist!

I was directed to the Miller Snark-ology by a 47th Ward Regular Democratic worker. This is a guy who takes a day off of work . . .actually many days . . .to gather valid signatures for candidates ( very often Progressive meatheads for whom no one would do a thing, but politics being about addition & etc.), stuff door fixtures and mailboxes, hang posters, put together, deliver and post political signs and speak well of candidates though saying that "Yes, Julie Hamos and Jan Schakowsky did ,in fact, resemble Margaret Sanger on them old gold coins, might have brought up his morning's Red Bull.

I like Ward and Precinct workers. I do not care for Snarking Loudmouths and Quicksilver Bigshots. . . .it's just me.

You see, Ann Williams ( of whom Miller and SEIU/Progressives wildly approve) defeated Dan Farley ( a sound and good man). Hence, the Miller Snarkless, mind you, sneer.

Capitol Fax Blog is the Illinois Must Read!!!! . . . I don't. I gave it a pass a few years ago when it seemed to me SEIU and other paying entities wanted more bang for their bucks and posts were edited accordingly.

I do know, without Rich Miller's assistance, that Alderman Gene Schulter runs a Ward Organization that is Service Oriented - Schulter gets elected and elected and elected and elected. He never seems to want for volunteers and help from many, many, many people. Not only John Fritchey would be no where near where he believes himself to be without the Hacks that can't Hack it, but many other Really BLUE - Ain't She Great Democrats who could not find a Chinaman on 22nd Street.

Rich Miller is a snark - Big Snarker; V.I.P. Way Important Snarker. The Hacks are little insignificant and hard working people who get other people elected. The Hacks just might go a Hunting for the Snark. That'd make some great reading.

*Snark -Combination of "snide" and "remark". Sarcastic comment(s).
Also snarky (adj.) and snarkily (adv.)
