Rahm "The Business Magnet" Mayor Waves Bye, Bye to Oprah?????

Did I miss something . . . again? Oprah and Stedm . . .Gail?  , , , are blowing town?  For keeps?

Rahm, my mail box stuffings told me was the reason Chicago has such a swell Moody's Rating and why big businesses love to soak their toes in the pot-holes on west Washington and Randolph street and drive.  He's the business magnet, the oozing sack of honey sugar spilled out on the concrete and clay crumbling 'neath* our feets.

Yet, yet . . .I learn that Oprah is being quit of Chicago . . . altogether!  Our iconic Steve Dahl with a tan and chick wardrobe will be as gone as the knocked out cats at a Pitchfork Musis Fest?

Oprah Winfrey and her collection of shows are settling in Hollywood.

By year’s end, Winfrey’s Chicago-based Harpo Studios will close its doors, with the 26-year-old company's productions transitioning to OWN headquarters in Los Angeles. The news, which Winfrey delivered in person to her Harpo staff on Tuesday morning, comes two months after her burgeoning cable network moved into a new space in West Hollywood. Though the Chicago lease continues through April 2016, Winfrey and her key executives intend to stop the back-and-forth routine they've been balancing for nearly half a decade sooner than that.
In a phone interview from the Harpo offices in Chicago, Winfrey acknowledges a mix of excitement and nostalgia. "[Chicago has] been everything for me. I've spent more hours in this building than I have any other building on Earth. ... We were here when there was nothing but hoes and rats on the street, and now it's one of the hottest neighborhoods [in Chicago]," she says, noting that OWN will stop shooting shows there as of Tuesday. "The time had come to downsize this part of the business and to move forward. It will be sad to say goodbye, but I look ahead with such a knowing that what the future holds is even more than I can see."

Well, I'll be dipped and rolled!!  Oprah is down-sizing her operations . . .and that is exactly what Rahm Emanuel is doing to Chicago!

I will not miss the tubby she- scold anymore than I will miss dialing into WLS AM!  Oprah did nothing for the poor black kids that I help go onto the colleges and trades and vocations of the American Middle Class.
Oprah's charity watch dog was no other than the CPS itchy-palm king Rufus Williams. Rufus, a nasty littleman, told me, 'Send no more Leo proposals for grants.'  As if.

Oprah, like Pfleger, Jesse Jackson and Bill Ayers, are "chicago people" that lemmings always defend with a solemn -"They do alot of good."   To which I invariably reply, " For example?"  AND the crickets chirp, while tie two legged lemmings ooze away from me.


"Alpha Mike Foxtrot, Oprah" , to quote the late Vietnam hero and Chicago homice detective Martin J. Tully,  take it with you; you didn't leave much here.

Maybe ex- Harpo Studio could be a Star Wars Museum and CPD blacksite, or a Presidential Mobile Library. 

Now, let's see if Mayor Rahm gets asked about Oprah's Exodus? Gee, Mr. Rahm, if a 1%er leaves your Chicagoland what about all the 99%ers?  Is that reall 'smart sizing?'  Shouldn't we, after all really be Oprah-Sizing?

Wrong-Way Kedzie, Tamil Tiger and Rev. Moon-Pie Danny Davis is a celebrated nit-wit with the pipes of church organ and E. Power Biggs hitting the keys.

Ald. Ricky Munoz is a dodgy ethically challenged darling of the Brie Eating Dummies. His poor Dad got into a huge jackpot last year, by Ricky managed to keep most the problem off his own shoes*.

This triumvirate of race baiters is hammering the race card over cuts to CTA services and using the time-honored Lefty Mantra ( now being 'so played' by the Obama White House - Systemic)

This funding ( CTA) scheme comes from a history of systemic racism that perpetuates barriers to social and economic equity in the region.

Thanks, Fellas! I ride the CTA. Grandma Donahue rides the CTA from 63rd and Kedvale to visit Mrs. Cooney in St. Gabes in Canaryville - she takes three ( four sometimes) buses ( 63rd to Pulaski -Pulaski to 47th and 47th East to the 'Ville). Stan Petkas from over by Marquette Park rides the CTA up Kedzie to Archer and then downtown. Dinko Malinkovich from Hegewisch rides the CTA down to Jardin and back every day. Esther Fein on the Gold Coast rides CTA #151 to Temple. Bruno and Rose Panatera from Taylor Street ( well not for long because the Profs and Docs strangled what used to be called rent in that once proud Italian neighborhood) ride the CTA all over the place.

The problem with the filing goes well beyond it('s) narrow reading of history, convenient disregard of reality and factual errors. The pleading asks for an end to the “disproportionate adverse impact” on race, but fails to say how. Redress would by definition require the reopening of the distribution formula and possibly legislative change of the farebox recovery ratio to favor more CTA riders. Should a judge—and not elected officials—now make that decision? On what basis? There’s no guarantee that when all things fair are considered that the CTA would even come out better.

The suit also leaves out an important fact when it bifurcates the region into the CTA and suburbs. The Illinois Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, which created the CTA, authorizes the agency to operate in much of Cook County, including the suburbs (for the literal-minded, it’s everything east of Range 11.) And, indeed it does, serving as many as 30 suburbs, such as Wilmette and Evanston. Metra also serves some of those same suburbs, such as Wilmette and Evanston. So, for purposes of squishy equity the suit demands, are African Americans living in Wilmette or Evanston defined as a part of the plaintiff class? If so, should their Metra service be reduced to achieve some vaguely defined notion of parity?

Racial mongers make their living like this, separating the world into honeycombs of advantaged and disadvantage, victims and oppressors, black and white. This is the 21st century, folks. We should be beyond that.

To the three nitwits - ALL CHICAGOANS pay fares and get cold at the stops. Cuts hurt Everyone! It is cold at stops for elderly Jewish, Croatian, Lithuanian, Italian, Polish and Irish systemic racists as well as the Acceptable Victims ( Black & Hispanic). Funny – I never hear Mexicans beef. CPD 6th Respond to Fight on 87th Street - Last Night Rev. Jesse Jackson & WTTW Make Police Goats for Fenger Murder

The great officers of the 6th Police District* responded to a fight that I witnessed on the way to Leo this morning. At roughly 7:50 A.M. east bound traffic on 87th Street stalled near Loomis as a fight between about twelve young men took place in a lot on the south side of the street.

Before I could pull over and call 911, Blue lights flashed westbound toward the fight. I saw at least six CPD SUVs and cars race to the scene.

When I arrived at Leo, administrators told me that at least that number sped west on 79th Street -obviously destined for the brawl.

Last night I witnessed Race-baiting Professional Rev. Jesse Jackson serve up more nonsense to the ever supple-spined Phil Ponce on Chicago Tonight. In essence, the arch-race-baiter and Cop Hater, Jesse Jackson, parsed the Fenger murder into a 'Lack of adequate Police' nonsense. Jackson even blamed Burge for the Fenger beat down - click my post title for the WTTW Jesse Fest. Ponce could not be anymore amoeba-like in his Bill Moyers cupped chin-gee-whiz Jesse affection.

WTTW - where Winnetka Talks to Wilmette - adds more elbow room for gang-banging thugs in Chicago's Thug Comfort Zone. The namby-pamby Cheese Cube Gulpers who skew the news and parade on rhetorical stick-up artists like Pops Jackson to toss gasoline on Race and Law Enforcement are real the 2X4 swingers and do more for thug-violence than a GD operated free guns program.

BTW - The Men of Leo High School exceeded their quota in blood donations to Life Source in the Leo Blood Drive only yesterday. Chicago can use his kind of blood
letting. The imbeciles in the News Media help the other all too familiar blood flow.

Dick Simpson will weigh in; Frannie Spielman is being pulled off of real news ( poor Shanghaied talent); and the usual band of brothers will noodle and gravy Jesse's venture despite the fact that Jesse L. Jackson pulled the plug on an Illinois Program that combated predatory mortgage lenders - Jesse went to bat for those companies:

The program, Illinois Predatory Lending Database, went into effect last September. It was designed to collect information about lenders and was also supposed to ensure that borrowers with bad credit were counseled by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) before receiving loans (American Banker April 4).
However, the program's critics insist that the requirements made it even harder for low-income individuals to get loans and created delays.
Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. has said the program's requirements made it more difficult for low-income individuals to refinance or sell their properties.

A credit counselling that would have prevented defaults on loans was strangled in the cradle by the biggest rodent in the alley.
