Pat Quinn's Gay Abortion Christmas Carol - " Did You Hear What I Heard?"

It was as gay as Christmas when Pat Quinn signed the Civil Union act; but, gay ain't always happy. The Bishops tried to correct Quinn on the issue. You can't fix . . . Governors.

Pat Quinn hears exactly what he hears. I hear a train a-coming and I get off the tracks. I hear a fire truck or ambulance siren and I ease to the right in traffic and stop. I hear 'the garage is on fire' and I tend to dial 911. Pat Quinn hears what he wants to hear.Cardinal George and nine more Catholic bishops of Illinois spoke to the daffy Governor for over two hours at Chicago's Union League Club about the differences between political PAC Obligations and Church teaching on the evil that is abortion and the fact that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Two hours - Abortion is 100% Evil
Marriage is between a Man and Woman

Pat Quinn explained the meeting to Abdon Pallasch of Chicago Sun Times -

Quinn said Saturday morning that the two-hour talk between him and Cardinal Francis George and 9 other bishops was “only a little bit” about his positions the bishops say are at odds with Catholic teachings on abortion and gay couples’ right to adopt — a clash that has made headlines recently — and more about the need to help the poor.

“A lot of the discussion was how we could work together to fight poverty, help the people who are less fortunate and need a helping hand,” Quinn told the Sun-Times as he left a Christmas toy give-away on the Far South Side. “Getting people jobs, helping people who don’t have enough food to eat — that’s what the church’s social mission is all about.”

Nope.

"But after reading Quinn’s comments posted on the Sun-Times website Saturday, the bishops that met with Quinn issued a written statement saying Quinn characterized the meeting wrong: The primary purpose of the sit-down, they said, was to admonish the governor for using his Catholic up-bringing to justify views that they say aren’t supported by the church. It was the second time in the past two months the bishops have issued a statement blasting the Catholic governor.

“We share the Governor’s concern for the poor,” they wrote. “From our point of view, however, this was a meeting between pastors and a member of the Church to discuss the principles of faith, not the works of faith. On several occasions, the Governor has referred to his Catholic conscience and faith as the justification for certain political decisions.”
Governor Quinn listens . . .to Boss Terry Cosgrove about the beauty and benefits of abortion and to openly gay Rep. Greg Harris who high speed-railed the Religious Liberty and Civil Union Legislation Which Pat Quinn signed with gusto! This is the religious liberty legislation that immediately made war on Catholic Charities.

Greg Harris said that this legislation is merely the path to marriage between homosexual couples. Marriage between two men or two women is a problem for Catholics. Marriage is for procreation - breeders having kids. Breeders enjoying the procreative act outside of marriage are required to hit the confessional box and ask forgiveness for committing adultery.Adultery is having sex outside of marriage - one-tie all tie - homesexual, breeder, onanist ( the legendary Solitary Man that Neil Diamond celebrated in his 1966 song of the same name). At least that is what I hear and comprehend.

I am sure that Gov. Pat Quinn comprehends - Cosgrove's Personal PAC of Planned Parenthood gave him $ 500,000 to be governor of Illinois and Greg Harris did not obstruct Quinn's Budget. What did the Catholic Church give Pat Quinn - a pass. . . until now.

What do you hear?

Governor Pat Quinn - The Last Spartan

Sun Times Photo

Ye Gods, Mardonius, what men have you brought us to fight against? Men that fight not for gold, but for glory." Herodatus (Godley translation)

Governor Pat Quinn walks the talk. Today, Abdon Pallasch offers a succinct, thoughtful, accurate, warm and clear presentation of a genuine Illinois Spartan - probably the last Spartan: Governor Pat Quinn.

I have issues with the governor as a voter - he plays too closely with 'goo-goo' elements and Progressives: the Ralph Martire Pie Chart Tax Looters, the Tweed Patch Trust Fund Commies, SEIU, and every IVI-IPO anointed ding-bat. Most importantly, he is too close to the abortion happy harpies of Planned Parenthood.

Those issues aside, Pat Quinn is the real deal. He reminds me of last Irish Catholic Governor of Illinois who was a genuine reformer Edward Dunne.

I like Republican Bill Brady for his anti-abortion stand. However, he is wrapped too tightly to the Hate-Chicago, anti-Labor crowd. Bill Brady, I believe will lose the upcoming election for those last two very reasons. Chicago is the big brother fallen on very hard times living in the basement of the hard working earnest sister with ten kids. The big brother has fallen on tough times, in many due to his own goofy tendencies, but you can not kick him out -you are family. That same big brother will get back on his feet and make life better for that family. Bill Brady seems to want to kick Chicago to the curb and he should not do that, but that is the sad state of the Illinois GOP. They blow their toes off each election cycle, but always manage to find a slot for Judy Barr Topinka. Go figure; it is way beyond me.

Pat Quinn is a real family man and he is a real, genuine Illinois Spartan:

The no-frills governor sat at the dining room table of the modest 1,800-square-foot Georgian home he shares with his son David, 25, in Galewood on the West Side recently.

The screen on the front door is bent and needs replacing. The paint is cracking on the garage. Only two of the four bulbs in the light fixture in the dining room work. As befits a double-bachelor pad, the fridge holds only pomegranate-blueberry spritzer, V-8, mustard and ketchup.

This is a far cry from the home of his challenger in the upcoming election, Bill Brady, a stately, Better Homes and Gardens-type residence in Bloomington.

But it's in keeping with Quinn's austere approach to life and his background as a do-gooder/agitator.

"You have to be frugal if you don't have much money," Quinn said.

Quinn's crusades -- cutting the number of state legislators by a third, creating the Citizens Utility Board, becoming the state treasurer and lieutenant governor -- were done on a shoestring, he notes.

"In all these campaigns I've been in, we haven't had a lot of money," Quinn said. "This is obviously the biggest campaign I've ever been in, when you're spending a million bucks a week on TV. When I ran for lieutenant governor, we spent $375,000 [total]. So you have to watch your pennies."

Abdon Pallasch has painted a fine portrait of a Good Man, who prove to be a good Governor of Illinois.

Top Illinois Democrat Tells Scott Lee -"Scat!"

"And then I was told, if they couldn't find anything to put me in jail over, they would still put me in jail. They would make something up to put me in jail. They did not want me on that ticket," Cohen said.

No, it was not party Chairman Michael Madigan or Gov. Quinn, he said.

Ms. Simon, who had been endorsed by Mr. Quinn on Friday, won a vote of the state’s central committee, made up of 38 top Democratic leaders.

Voters selected a Democratic nominee for the lieutenant governor in February: Scott L. Cohen, a pawnbroker and political unknown who had spent $2 million of his own money on his campaign. But, within days of the election Mr. Cohen resigned under pressure from party leaders after questions emerged over a domestic battery charge, unpaid child support and steroid use.

Democratic leaders, who have battled a reputation for cronyism and back-room deals, announced that Mr. Cohen’s replacement would be picked in a manner that seemed to turn its old reputation on its head. All who wished to apply should do so. Résumés would be posted online. Interviews would be done in public.

Among the applicants was an array of expected candidates — state lawmakers, mayors, county board members, convention delegates and former political candidates, including Ms. Simon.

Quigley - The Terror of Tiny Town - Sees It From the Perspective of the Little Guys - Well, Yeah!

Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley said he went to about 300 community meetings in his district over the years and began to see things from the little guy's perspective.

You bet, Abdon! Every day, 24/7 - 365 days per annum! Sho 'Nuf! And Stevie Wonder sees things . . .Oh, that might be taken out of context . . .Sorry.
