Death and Taxes: Coming To Illinois: Infanticide and the Graduated Income Tax

"When you hear 'progressive,' when you hear 'graduated,' when you hear 'fair,' that is just a lie,""It's a way of trying to get you to think that it applies to you." - Rep. Margo McDermed, Mokena

"This (abortion) is a moral issue, You can't possibly represent your district if morally you can't represent yourself." - Rep. Peter Breen of Lombard,
Sorry, the two leading quotes for this posting come from Republican Legislators.  You see no Democrat has the temerity to speak out of tune during a Wagnerian Overture.  Illinois is Unbalanced.

On our opposite hand, the lock-step march to infant slaughter is voiced by a quartet of Democrat legislators with a chorus that includes Personal PAC, the ACLU and Illinois Planned Parenthood, “The Reproductive Health Act recognizes that abortion care is health care, not criminal activity as designated by the current law. The bill seeks to treat abortion care like all health care, with regulations that reflect current medical standards.” - Sens. Melinda Bush and Elgie Sims, Jr., and Reps. Kelly Cassidy and Emanuel “Chris” Welch

The Illinois Death and Taxes Gotterdamrung is being sung by the Fat Boy* - Governor JB Pritzker.  In our crazy age we should never  assume gender identity.  The Fat Lady may still warble at the end of an opera, but in genderless Illinois the non-Euclidian rules must always apply. That is why Illinois School Districts absorb so many Gender Identity lawsuits since passage of the Same-Sex Marriage Act. Who's to say?  Let the Fat Boy belt one one out!

Interestingly, the very same people who demand gender obscurity, abortion 24/7, and legal weed  also demand a progressive income tax where the rich are punished and the poor rewarded - a social dystopia that is heading our way.

Immediately after the Arch-lying Republican Governor of Illinois, Bruce Rauner paved over the only honest voice in Illinois politics with $ 100 bills, fouled the air waves with distortions and outright lies, managed to defeat Jeanne Ives, the signs were up that Death and Taxes would dominate JB Pritzker's Governorship with the distractions of sports betting and legal weed to medicate voters good and numb for the Novermber General Election and beyond.

Most voters are comfortably numb - take a look at the Chicago Mayoral Election.  Take a look at Bruce Rauner!

The Illinois GOP is lead by people with all of the moral courage and vision of a Mississippi lynch mob. "Get people to go along, Hell, what's 32, 832 little Oxbow Incidents?  We may get Mike Madigan's attention by September, for pet projects, iff we play nice and keep quite. " Goodbye Mursheen Durkin, I am sick and tired of workin'!

Death is one thing, but taxes are the same kettle of fish.  Ralph Martire has argued "Illinois does not have a tax problem!  It has a Revenue Problem!"  Yeah, and fat kids make great hurdlers!

I come from a blue collar family.  I used to believe that voting Union was why of keeping the wolf from the door of hard working people.  Then, in the late 1970's. Real Labor, the skilled trades and industrial labor unions, began to cozy up, snuggle, smooch and eventual got ravished by the public sector unions - teachers, SEIU, and the clerks, or AGSCME.

BIG LABOR became Andy Stern's Bolshevik SEIU and the AFL-CIO mewed like kittens, because labor went 100% partisan political - unions tossed millions of dues dollars into the political arena, at the expense of training and membership benefits.

Unions wanted to become Kingmakers in a land no longer a democratic republic, but an oligarchy.

Unions, including the once independent and courageous skilled trades unions began to dictate approved propaganda and demanded lock-step marches to the voting booth for rank and file: The Pipe Trades Endorsed Rahm Emanuel for Mayor and defeated SEIU's Chuy Garcia,  The trades now were competing to select their own billionaire oligarch candidates, like Rahm Emanuel, Bruce Rauner and Bill Daley, most recently.  JB Pritzker made national news with labor's support of his anti-middle class agenda.

I was never good at math, but I know that a flat tax makes more sense than a graduated income tax. Twelve (12%) from everyone is a lot of money and 12% from a billionaire is one hell of a lot of money.  A flat tax helps people who make less than JB Pritzker; a graduated income tax will strangle the middle class, yet labor is all over it. 60% of Illinoisan make less than $ 60,000 per year. The Illinois flat tax rate is not 4.95%.

The harbinger of Taxes is Democrat Representative Martwick.  Here is what is coming:

Democratic state Rep. Robert Martwick’s House Bill 3522 proposed changing the tax rates to: 4 percent for income up to $7,500, 5.84 percent for income up to $15,000, 6.27 percent for income up to $225,000 and 7.65 percent for income over $225,000. That measure was tabled.

Well, there is tabled and then there is tabled, like woman's legs locked into the old stirrups and Doc Gosnell getting ready to crack some skull!

Illinois is Death and Taxes, Cousins!  Get comfortably numb and ready for some awesome Sports Betting!

* FYI from Illinois Policy
The median Illinois family making $79,168 would see a $516 income tax hike if Illinois adopted Wisconsin’s rates and a $610 tax hike if Illinois adopted Iowa’s rates – 15 percent and 17 percent increases, respectively.
Keep in mind that in 2017, Illinoisans shouldered the largest permanent income tax hike in state history. And the most recent progressive income tax rates filed in the Illinois General Assembly would have hiked taxes on Illinoisans making as little as $17,300.

Governor Pat Quinn Turned the Corner - From Activist to Statesman

Carol Marin is mad at Governor Quinn. That is a sure sign that the Illinois Governor has turned the corner from activist gadfly to Illinois Statesman.

Like Governors Altgeld and Dunne, Governor Pat Quinn has earned the ire of the fatuous and the glib celebrity dilettantes. Carol Marin tried to bully-rag Governor Quinn into a corner demanding that he sign the Death Penalty Abolition and receive the high Hosannas of the Carol and the Goo-gos who never run for political office but control the debate.

In today's column Carol howls "Memo to Quinn: We’ve thoroughly studied Illinois’ disastrous record on the death penalty for a decade. That includes the Ryan Commission on which noted Chicago attorney and author Scott Turow served from 2000-2002."

The Big Guns! Scott Turow! Shake that Mont Blanc Fountain Ink Squirter and Get to Signing, Guv! Scott Turow, the Illinois Charles Evans Hughes is backing Carol's Play!

I am being 'close-knit and ethnically' ironic. Dear me.

Governor Pat Quinn is governing. He will decide whether or not to sign the Death Penalty Ban. I hope that he does not. Consider the last Illinois Governor who did what Carol and Scott propose. George Ryan commuted the death sentences of 167 monsters in an act that a cynical person might think was a slight of hand during the very campaign Carol Marin helped lead to put Ryan in Terra Haute. The Goo-goos want what they want and always immediately.

When Gov. Ryan issued a blanket commutation to every man and woman on Death Row in Illinois, he knowingly spared the lives of some of the most vicious killers in the state's 185-year history. The governor acknowledged as much Saturday but said that fundamental flaws in the system necessitated his actions. Here are some of the most infamous killers saved by Ryan:

Danny Edwards
To make the point that he has been personally touched by the horror of murder, Ryan on Saturday described the murder of an old family friend, Kankakee businessman Stephen B. Small, in 1987, in a kidnapping plot. Danny Edwards, who at the time was a small-time drug dealer and electrician in Kankakee, was found guilty of burying Small alive in a wooden box. Edwards made an air hole in the box and apparently thought Small could survive for some time while he--Edwards--attempted to extort a $1 million ransom from Small's wealthy family. But Small died within four hours of being buried. While conceding that the evidence against his client was "overwhelming"--Edwards was seen building the box, and his fingerprints were found inside--defense attorney Thomas Allen expressed surprise at the quick guilty verdict, calling the jury "the coldest I've ever seen."

Henry Brisbon
Brisbon and three other men decided to rob somebody. When they couldn't find the right pedestrian to rob in Kankakee, they drove toward Chicago on Interstate 57. While riding along, they came up with the idea of robbing motorists by staging phony accidents. One of the killers tricked motorists out of their cars by asking them to inspect minor collision damage, then led them to Brisbon, who brandished the shotgun and robbed and shot them. Betty Lou Harmon, 29, of suburban Darien, was forced to undress at gunpoint. She ran away, but was caught by Sanders, who led her to Brisbon, who fatally shot her in a field. An engaged North Side couple, Dorothy Cerny and James Schmidt, both 25, who were returning from a family gathering in Matteson, also were shot to death by Brisbon after being stripped of their valuables. Brisbon told the couple to "kiss your last kiss" before firing shotgun blasts into their backs as they lay on the side of the highway. But Brisbon was not on Death Row for the I-57 murders. He was put there because he used a sharpened spoon to kill another inmate while in prison.

Fedell Caffey & Jacqueline Williams

Caffey and Williams decided they wanted a baby. So they stabbed to death a pregnant woman, Debra Evans, in her Addison apartment and cut her nearly full-term fetus from her body, according to prosecutors. To eliminate witnesses, they also murdered Evans' 10-year-old daughter, Samantha, and 8-year-old son, Joshua. Another child, Jordan, was spared in the 1995 murder--children under the age of 2 aren't likely to be good witnesses. And the newborn boy also survived. Fortunately, Jordan's grandfather, Sam Evans, says Jordan has no recollection today of the horrors he witnessed.

Gabriel Solache
In an eerily similar case, little 2-month-old Guadalupe Soto and her toddler brother Santiago had both parents ripped away by vicious killers who wanted to steal a baby in 1998. One of them was Solache, who agreed to help kill Jacinta and Mariano Soto and snatch the baby so Adriana Mejia could pretend it was hers. Mejia targeted the Bucktown family after seeing Jacinta with the children at a local health clinic. She followed them home on a bus to see where they lived. Early the next morning, Solache, Mejia and Arturo DeLeon-Reyes surprised the family, stabbing the parents more than 60 times as the sleepy toddler looked on. Mejia and DeLeon-Reyes got life in prison.

Luther Casteel
At JB's Pub in Elgin in 2001, Casteel was booted out for harassing female customers and employees. Roaring drunk and enraged, he shot straight home, shaved his hair into a mohawk and changed into military fatigues, armed himself with several guns and returned to the bar. Screaming, "I am a natural born killer," he shot bartender Jeffrey Weides and customer Richard Bartlett to death and wounded 16 others before being wrestled to the ground by bar patrons and employees. At his trial, Casteel almost dared a Kane County jury to impose the death penalty. "I'm not someone who asks for mercy or pity for my actions," he said during a stunning half hour of testimony. "I have absolutely no fear of anything anyone can put upon me."

Latasha Pulliam
In 1991, 6-year-old Shenosha Richard was playing in her South Side Chicago neighborhood when she was approached by Pulliam and Pulliam's boyfriend, Dwight Jordan. She went with them after they purchased her a bag of chips and promised to take her to a movie. At Pulliam's apartment, over several hours, Pulliam and Jordan sexually assaulted the girl with a shoe polish applicator and a hammer, and then used the hammer to pulverize her skull, according to prosecutors. Pulliam also beat and strangled the girl. Attorneys for Pulliam said she was drug-crazed at the time, but a court psychologist described her as "a female John Gacy" who got sexual satisfaction from hurting someone weaker than she.
& etc.

Pat Quinn was elected over Bill Brady, because real working families -skilled trades union families -hit the streets for Pat Quinn, when Brady signalled war on Labor. Brady painted with a very broad brush; he did not single out public sector monster activist unions and PACs like SEIU; Brady put Labor in the crosshairs.

Governor Pat Quinn stood up for Labor -real labor -as he continues to do for Veterans.

Quinn promised to raise taxes and to cut waste in Illinois government.

Governor Pat Quinn is doing Okay. Illinois is not doing so hot, but that is not Quinn's fault. I lay it at the feet of Goo-goos and pie-chart tax wizards like Ralph Martire whom the Goo-goos just love.

It will be nice to watch Governor Quinn over the next few months. Personally, I hope that he sheds Planned Parenthood, SEIU, Ralph Martire and the other Goo-goo play things. Perhaps, then Illinois will be able to work its way out its current jackpot.

Martyr Quinn for Ralph Martire'sSake? Blago Budget Bonehead Backs Bloat Boost!

Progress Illinois which hands me more laughs than The Onion ( without meaning to do so and that is even funnier) is all Progressive and Pouffe *over Ralph Martire's** imprimatur on the Illinois Tax Boost. Today's giggle is from Josh Kalven again and he wants Illinois to know that Mike Madigan is very, very smart and Lisa Madigan has ambition!
http://progressillinois.com/2009/3/16/the-one-to-watch

Josh, Honor Bright?

Progress is all Quinnish and Daisy Happy! More Taxes Mean more slots for low skilled and unskilled SEIU placements in the State Budget! PI Loves PQ! They want Speaker Mike Madigan to be the bad guy. They can not go after Lisa Madigan for the obvious PC reasons - she's a Female Girl Woman, but they can get all Boiled Beet Progressive on Daddo.

Pat Quinn, the Governor, wants to increase Illinois taxes - Pat Quinn wants a dramatic increase. Really Huge! Quinn has Ralph Martire in his corner - 'Cut Me Ralph. I can go the Distance! This is a Long Distance Race? Boxing? I thought it was Cross-Country, Ralph! Ralph? Ralph! where's the water bottle? Taxed? That Too? Sponge Me! This is supposed to be Long Distance Cross Country Running! No?'

No; it's Boxing Guv and this is Round One! You might get to Round Two. Oh, thats right, Ralph is in your corner. The canvass is not all that comfortable. You will be hitting it hard, by the way.

Ralph Martire is a career know-it-all-screw-up - a Progressive Professor with his snout plunged in the public trough. From Dawn Clark Netsch to Rod Blagojevich, Ralph Martire's slide rule reads 'Taxes.' State Government Spendathons! Lefty Agit-Prop and Meeks Shall Inherit the Works Coalition Building! Pat Quinn is toast.

This from Peoria!

"What should the state do to balance the budget? Cut spending or raise taxes and maintain spending," Martire said.

In fact, Quinn said last week, he plans to do both. When he delivers his budget speech Wednesday, Quinn plans to ask for an increase in the state income tax, something that hasn't happened in Illinois since 1993, when the current 3 percent personal rate was made permanent. Quinn also said he will announce more than $800 million in cuts to the budget.

Quinn hasn't said how large a tax increase he will seek, although some reports have said he will ask for a new rate of 4.5 percent, a 50 percent increase. An increase of that magnitude would raise more than $4 billion in new revenue.

However, Quinn also will ask for the state personal income tax exemption to increase from $2,000 to $6,000 to offset the impact of the tax hike.

Martire thinks the income tax increase should be even larger. What's more, he thinks Quinn also should adjust the state sales tax while lawmakers are debating revenue increases.

Ralph Martire, who helped Blago give away the Illinois General Store to tax salaried SEIU pals and allies,as well as the usual Pork Eating Capitalists, warns that trimming the Budget Bloat through . . .TAX Cuts !!!! Hopi Indians, Mildred, think of the Children! . . .might . . . might mind you lead to rising unemployment figures.

Yeah???!!!!!!!!!!! Tax-salaried employees put in the State Budget by you and Blago Ralph!

Martire will be a Huge help in Pat Quinn's Martyrdom! You can set your watch by dopes like Martire . . . I mean Distinguished Professors on the Public Teat like Ralph Martire.

John McCain Visits Michigan Funeral Home - Finds Mitt Romney . . .

John McCain took an early morning's look at Mitt Romney's political future at a funeral home:

After briefly appearing before sunrise outside Precinct 3 voting station in Traverse City, Mich., the Arizona senator remarked on the beauty of the neighborhood’s Victorian houses. As luck would have it, the owner of the grandest home on the block, 305 Sixth St., was hanging around, having heard McCain was in the area.

McCain, who often describes himself as a student of history, quickly asked for a tour of the home. Peg Jonkhoff, 51 years old, the home’s owner and proprietor of Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, led McCain and his wife, Cindy, over the snow bank and down the block to the enormous turreted building.

The Queen Anne-style house was built between 1891 and 1893 by lumber baron Perry Hannah, described in a funeral home brochure as the “pioneer founder of Traverse City.” The home has 34 rooms and features hand-cut glass window door panes from Tiffany’s, Brazilian mahogany paneling and ten fireplaces. The architect was W.G. Robinson of Grand Rapids. It has served has a funeral home since 1937.

McCain called it a “beautiful, magnificent home,” and seemed fascinated by the extensive woodwork. “People are dying to get in there,” he quipped later.

Jonkhoff, a Republican, hadn’t voted at the time of the visit but she said she’s “thinking of supporting John.” She had also considered Mitt Romney.
