Who's A'Scared of the Big Red Scare? The Media Don't Want to Be Old Ernest T.

Milwaukee Burns - here is why.
Flynn(Milwaukee Police Chief) cast blame on some Chicago-based activists representing the Revolutionary Communist Party, who apparently organized young people to take to the streets and march on the then-barricaded District 7 police station, which received a number of threats.
"The (group) showed up, and actually they’re the ones who started to cause problems leading into evening by marching and trying to take over Sherman and Burleigh," Flynn said. "That was about 11:30 at night. We made it to 11:30 in the evening, and we had these characters show up …" The Chicago Tribune

 In October 1947, 10 members of the Hollywood film industry publicly denounced the tactics employed by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), an investigative committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, during its probe of alleged communist influence in the American motion picture business. These prominent screenwriters and directors, who became known as the Hollywood Ten, received jail sentences and were banned from working for the major Hollywood studios. Their defiant stands also placed them at center stage in a national debate over the controversial anti-communist crackdown that swept through the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Besides the Hollywood Ten, other members of the film industry with alleged communist ties were later banned from working for the big movie studios. The Hollywood blacklist came to an end in the 1960s. History.com
During the late 1940s and early 1950s, the prospect of communist subversion at home and abroad seemed frighteningly real to many people in the United States. These fears came to define–and, in some cases, corrode–the era’s political culture. For many Americans, the most enduring symbol of this “Red Scare” was Republican Senator Joseph P. McCarthy of Wisconsin. Senator McCarthy spent almost five years trying in vain to expose communists and other left-wing “loyalty risks” in the U.S. government. In the hyper-suspicious atmosphere of the Cold War, insinuations of disloyalty were enough to convince many Americans that their government was packed with traitors and spies. McCarthy’s accusations were so intimidating that few people dared to speak out against him. It was not until he attacked the Army in 1954 that his actions earned him the censure of the U.S. Senate. “Maybe his [Satan’s] greatest achievement in these times has been to make us believe that he does not exist, and that all can be fixed on a purely human level,”  Pope Francis

I can almost hear Eric Zorn in The Chicago Tribune boning up to Change the Subject,"The Hollywood Blacklist, Senator Joe McCarthy, Chilling.  Who believes that Satan is cause of the world's evil?  Come on! Where's the science in that?"

Social Science? Physics?

Milwaukee, like Baton Rouge, St. Paul, Philadelphia and Dallas have been treated to riots, media circus-es, murders and assaults on police officers, because funded, well- organized little devils enthralled with the hammer and sickle and hot rhetoric and sloganeering ventured to those post-Ferguson flash points, with signage, fliers and bull horned cheerleaders from not only the Black Live Matters newbies, but veteran agitators from CPUSA, the Revolutionary Communist Party and International Solidarity Organization.  Reds and the usual useful idiots.

Snopes - a fact countering mill of Occupy,inc. says, don't believe our lying eyes." In fact, Reds are behind the more violent encounters in post-Ferguson America.

The American Journalist ( Medill School/Columbia variety) eschews the shoe-leather reporter image, for the Brand Journalist: gone to the finest schools, Miss Lonely, and got used to it; activist with ink and a soul-patch; Glenn Greenwald approved and Howard Zinn washed in the blood of revolutionary martyrs, but still maintain hip and with it ironic lifestyle.

One sure path to journalistic self-immolation is to walk on the wild side of the agreed upon narratives.  For example, when was the last time a Chicago, New York, or BumHump, Iowa journalist connected the dots pointing to Marxist lawyers and journalists involved in the Wrongful Conviction/ Police Torture industries? Never.  You never read a columnist like Mark Brown, Neil Steinberg, Eric Zorn, or Carol Marin question the number of times Judge Robert Gettleman ruled for G. Flint Taylor - judge shopping.

Shucks when was the last time any one of the above mentioned CTU puppet-master Jesse Sharkey's take over of the public service union for the International Solidarity Organization?  Wha?  Whaa?
Atticus Finch
It is unseemly to suggest, much less point out the very real and tangible evidence of organized and well-funded Marxist agenda at work on in our streets, courts, schools and public service unions.  Can't do that; it's called Red baiting.

One can Hillbilly Bait.  One can Evangelical Christian bait. One may Jew bait,so long as it is for the Death of Israel.  One does not need to Catholic bait, because our clergy and hierarchy does a pretty good job sneering at us in the press. But, Red bait.  No way, Jose Stalin.

Progressives (most columnists and editorial board members) tend to view themselves as Atticus Finch. especially activist lawyers who even dress like old Atticus.  Progressives view the rest of us as Ernest T. Bass.
Many of us deemed to be Ernest Ts, do not want to be considered so and we join along with group thought and ape the narratives and end up looking like Ernest T. Bass in a slick panama suit.

The media hides the fact that Reds are agitating the violence.

The potential for a revolutionary crisis lies within the very nature of this capitalist system itself—with its repeated economic convulsions, its unemployment and poverty, its profound inequalities, its discrimination and degradation, its brutality, torture and wars, its wanton destruction. All this causes great suffering. And at times it leads to crisis on one level or another—sudden jolts and breakdowns in the “normal functioning” of society, which compel many people to question and to resist what they usually accept. No one can say in advance exactly what will happen in these situations—how deep the crisis may go, in what ways and to what extent it might pose challenges to the system as a whole, and to what degree and in what ways it might call forth unrest and rebellion among people who are normally caught up in, or feel powerless to stand up against, what this system does. But two points are very important:
1) Such “jolts” in the “normal functioning” of things, even if they do not develop all the way to a fundamental crisis for the system as a whole, do create situations in which many more people are searching for answers and open to considering radical change. The work of building the movement for revolution must be consistently carried out at all times, but in these situations of sharp breaks with the “normal routine” there is greater possibility, and greater potential, to make advances. This must be fully recognized and built on to the greatest degree possible, so that through such situations, leaps are made in building up the movement and the organized forces for revolution, creating in this way a stronger basis from which to work for further advances.
2) In certain situations, major events or big changes can happen in society and the world and can come together in such a way that the system is shaken to its foundations...deep cracks appear and magnify within the ruling structures and institutions...the raw relations of oppression are more sharply exposed...conflicts among the powers-that-be deepen, and cannot be easily resolved, and it becomes much more difficult for them to hold things together under their control and keep people down. In this kind of situation, for great numbers of people, the “legitimacy” of the current system, and the right and ability of the ruling powers to keep on ruling, can be called seriously and directly into question, with millions hungering for a radical change that only a revolution can bring about. The riots in Milwaukee prove that but the media wants us to believe that Reds don't exist - just like Satan

Breathless Solidarity Sans African American Chicagoans

Social Media?  Mayhaps.  Moreso, Socialist and CPUSA Strategists.  I see more Afriocan Americans 'Holding the Line' in CPD Blue than in the modest crowd of protexting White Boys.

Marching allows people to vent anger, frustrations and disappointments.  There have been hundreds of marches on the south and west sides of Chicago condemning, denouncing and damning faceless shooters, gutless public officials who also march-up-a-storm and inanimate objects drawn in a circle with a red bar through them - Guns.  Murders continue unabated.

Orwell, in 1984, called such venting "The Two Minute Hate,"  Which allowed the opporessed to direct their anger, frustrations and disappoinbtments at faceless enemies, caricatures of enemies and inanimate objects and away from the oppresive totalitarian regimes defining each person according to needs of government.

Today,  too many people, particularly young people,  who spend most of their waking hours 'thumbing' human contact via a Steve Jobs product, who largely ignore their family, friends and fellow citizens due to addictions to cellphones, smart-phones, tablets, and keyboards need an opportunity let the world know just how feeling and human they happen to be -in solidarity with strangers who trying to get home to their kids on west and south sides.

Know this - the crowds of earnest, breathless and obnoxious white suburban hipsters blocking traffic here and elsewhere are cattle and chattle of CPUSA.

Racial Healing - We Are a Nation of Scab Pickers

A better and peaceful world is possible — a world where people and nature come before profits. That’s socialism. That’s our vision. We are the Communist Party USA.
 Praxagora: I want all to have a share of everything and all property to be in common; there will no longer be either rich or poor; [...] I shall begin by making land, money, everything that is private property, common to all. [...]
Blepyrus: But who will till the soil?
Praxagora: The slaves. (tr. O'Neill 1938, Perseus) Aristophanes -  Ecclesiazusae ( loosely translated by me as " A Congress of Skirts, Broads, or Chicks"
Someone will be disappointed. Someone will slave away.  Some people, more than others. Knowing that fact is good way to prepare for that eventuality.  In medicine, such activities are often called " Preventative."  In life, such forethought is tagged "common sense." Noble intentions are often directed into action by absolutely idiotic, villainous, or incompetent boobs.  Witness the Obamacare.

When someone disturbs the universe, gender-universal and olfactory discernment, following flesh-free luncheon of cabbage, beans and onions, there is rarely a wholesome and loud thumping of table and cheers of acclamation for that person's heart-healthy choices froms God's cornupopoeia.  A victim might even grab heavy object and shatter a pane of glass out of the nearest window in less of gesture of judgment, than an act of self-preservation.

The heart wants what the heart wants.

Thus, an intermural resident Praxagora might declare martial law and pronounce Zero Tolerance for breakers of wind - Vegan or Carnivore . . .and that is too bad.  Individuals can only manifest an intrinsic virture by dint of  personal behavior - not legal obeisaance.

Zero tolerance only works for Praxagora-lke harpies like Bill Moyers, Oprah and Rosie O'Donnell. Such people are free of common sense, because they see themselves as "uncommon."

Common people get hurt, on a daily basis, physically, spiritually and emotionally.  Life happens dood and hard.

Nothing gets better, if you keep picking at it.  A scab always forms a cut.  The scab is good - the slice heals.  When scabs get picked at, hurts can become infected ( especially if the picker has filthy fingers) and make the damage much more severe.

I am not a doctor, but I played one in the 1969 high school production of Harvey.  Therefore, I have about as much medical knowledge as Leonardo DiCaprio, or Matt Damon.  I triumphed as Dr. Lyman Sanders, M.D. in the Little Flower High School production of Mary Chase's immortal comic look at schizophrenia -Harvey.

As Dr. Lyman Sanderson,M.D., I failed to bring Mr. Elwood P. Dowd to his senses.
Dr. Sanderson: Think carefully, Dowd. Didn't you know somebody, sometime, someplace by the name of Harvey? Didn't you ever know anybody by that name?
Elwood P. Dowd: No, no, not one, Doctor. Maybe that's why I always had such hopes for it.
 I did not order electro-shock therapy.  I refused to ice bathe, Mr. Dowd.  My level of tolerance was tested and eventually I came to realize that the very pleasant Elwaood P. Dowd did not require my butttering of his necktie.

Thinngs are different, now.

In 1969, I was starring in Harvey.  Dr. Martin Luther King had been with Christ for a year.   The embers of West and South Side fires had cooled. Black teens came to the Little Flower High School Community Center to do and boogaloo down funky, funky Broadway.  White families put up the modest homes for sale to predatory panic-peddling real estate moguls and Black families bought two-flats, bungalows and Georgians on both sides of Ashland Avenue.

That was my Selma moments.

I do ot remember the burnng out of any Back families, nor masscre of any Swedes, or Italians by 'Coloreds' -I remember getting my ass-kicked by Polish greasers at a dance in St. John of God for being a spud-eating Duper and yet only this past Sunday I treated myself and a female girl to several platefuls of pierogi,Gołąbki,Polskie naleśniki,Bigos and the heart-stopping joy of Placki ziemniaczane at Sawa's Old Warsaw in Broadview, IL.

Polska Sto Lat, I say! No, discriminating human being, especially one familiar with glorious history of Polish cuisine, could banish Sowa's Old Warsaw.  To paraphrase Falstaff,  "No, my good lord; banish McDonald's, banish Burger King, banish Wendy's: but for sweet Sawa, kind Old Warsaw, true Polish buffet, valiant butter-swimming pierogi Haven, and therefore more valiant, being, as it is, old Warsaw on Ogden Avenue, banish not it thy Hickey's company, banish not it thy Hickeys's pie-hole: banish plump potato pancakes, and banish all the world." He'p me, Jesus!

Were I to bring up the pummeling my 145 lb. 2ndGeneration Harp frame took at the hands and Stacy Adams'd  Rat Stabber shod feet of the six Brylcreamed Polacks at every occasion of disappouintment, or set back, I might have joined the Bill Moyers PBS United Church of Christ-faux Unitarians,  when Karol Józef Wojtyła ascended the throne of Peter. Likewise, I might have organized mass protests at Orchestra Hall when Chopin got tickled on the eighty-eights.  Moreso,  I'd escape the gustatory raptures steaming on the heaping bord of Sawa's Old Warsaw!

We are not a Nation of Cowards - not in 1919, 1969, or 2014.  We have become a Nation of Scab Yankers.

We constantly pester and piss and moan for 'dialogs'  that are monologs and 'conversations' that are monotone.assets/Uploads/_resampled/CroppedImage200200-Screen-shot-2010-09-21-at-11.12.22-AM.png(John Bachtell is National Chairman of the CPUSA. He is active in labor, peace and justice struggles. He grew up in Ohio and currently lives in Chicago with his family.)

White people are doing this pissing and moaning and they are same White people who worked with and for Saul Alinsky in 1969 and some even much worse.  These White people have managed in convincing America's culture vultures that the United States of America is some Kafka-esque Death Camp run by AnteBellum crackers with bullwhips.

Ferguson and now Staten Island protests are thick with these White folks- devout scab yankers making sure that our Racial, Gender, Class and Behavior wound never heal.

The White folks are Red.  CPUSA and all of its allies the Politicians,  the Media, Academics, the Ambulance Chasers, and people too lazy to read.

I am with Black folks more hours in the day than people of my pinkish coloring.  Guess what.   They are too busy working for this collective nonsense - like that wonderful cop in the video.

I did not have the answers for poor old Elwood P. Dowd and he ended his days in the looney bin.  My prescription for our wounds, stop picking at the scabs and don't listen to scab yankers.

Stalkin' Union Dues Blues

MSNBC's Face of Labor.

"Some may find them [songs] merely diverting melodies. Others may find them incitements to Red revolution. And who will say if either or both is wrong? Not I." - Pete Seeger, banjo/12 string guitar/vocals CPUSA
Here's Ol' Pete

and acontemprary Young 'un

Ol' Commie (sorta"drifted away") Pete Seeger* had a song called Talkin' Union

TALKING UNION

If you want higher wages, let me tell you what to do;
You got to talk to the workers in the shop with you;
You got to build you a union, got to make it strong,
But if you all stick together, now, ‘twont he long.
You'll get shorter hours,
Better working conditions.
Vacations with pay,
Take your kids to the seashore.

It ain’t quite this simple, so I better explain
Just why you got to ride on the union train;
‘Cause if you wait for the boss to raise your pay,
We’ll all be waiting till Judgment Day;
We’ll all he buried - gone to Heaven -
Saint Peter’ll be the straw boss then.

Now, you know you’re underpaid, hut the boss says you ain’t;
He speeds up the work till you’re ‘bout to faint,
You may he down and out, but you ain’t beaten,
Pass out a leaflet and call a meetin’
Talk it over - speak your mind -
Decide to do something about it.

‘Course, the boss may persuade some poor damn fool
To go to your meeting and act like a stool;
But you can always tell a stool, though - that’s a fact;
He’s got a yellow streak running down his back;
He doesn’t have to stool - he'll always make a good living
On what he takes out of blind men’s cups.

You got a union now; you’re sitting pretty;
Put some of the boys on the steering committee.
The boss won’t listen when one man squawks.
But he’s got to listen when the union talks.
He better -
He’ll be mighty lonely one of these days.

Suppose they’re working you so hard it’s just outrageous,
They’re paying you all starvation wages;
You go to the boss, and the boss would yell,
"Before I'd raise your pay I’d see you all in Hell."
Well, he’s puffing a big see-gar and feeling mighty slick,
He thinks he’s got your union licked.
He looks out the window, and what does he see
But a thousand pickets, and they all agree
He’s a bastard - unfair - slave driver -
Bet he beats his own wife.

Now, boy, you’ve come to the hardest time;
The boss will try to bust your picket line.
He’ll call out the police, the National Guard;
They’ll tell you it’s a crime to have a union card.
They’ll raid your meeting, hit you on the head.
Call every one of you a goddamn Red -
Unpatriotic - Moscow agents -
Bomb throwers, even the kids.

But out in Detroit here’s what they found,
And out in Frisco here’s what they found,
And out in Pittsburgh here’s what they found,
And down in Bethlehem here’s what they found,
That if you don’t let Red-baiting break you up,
If you don’t let stool pigeons break you up,
If you don’t let vigilantes break you up,
And if you don’t let race hatred break you up -
You’ll win. What I mean,
Take it easy - but take it!

'Problem is Old Pete was howling to actual workers about bein' workers, back in the day. Commies were and are dead set against a middle class and that is what American labor built along with a standard of living that was the envy of the free world.

Along abouts the 1960's, lefties gulled Mayor Wagner of New York into padding the tax-rolls and public service employees became the rage. Civil Service was not near enough - a worker needed to qualify for a position.

Private sector union membership declines through the 70's, 89's, and 90's and public sector labor swells with members and dues paid to SEIU and AFSCME and salaries paid through taxes of real labor - carpenters, sheet-metal workers, coal miners, auto workers, pipe fitters, &etc. Pete's team won the battle. Taxes shrunk the American Middle Class and bankrupted local and state economies.

Thus, the war in Wisconsin.

Gov. Walker of Wisconsin looks to be winning the war.

The photo above is what passes for workers these days, kids, lay-abouts, MSNBC's Big Ed and Hunger Striker Michael Moore.

* In 1936, at the age of 17, Pete Seeger joined the Young Communist League (YCL), then at the height of its popularity and influence. In 1942 he became a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) itself. He eventually "drifted away" (his words) from the Party in the late 1940s and 1950s
