Obama wonders why he constantly screws the pooch and then he believes it to be racism, McCain's gums, Dave Axelrod's comb-over, not enough money, 'Do I wear a Tie? No. Too Ivy League. Roll up my sleeves?' It's you and your Campaign, Senator. You are hanging with dopes - you are who you hang with - I guess, you're a dope too.
Barack, you do not get it. Comes from hanging out with phonies and dweebs too much. Having your robots surf Google for Bible stuff don't work. Be a regular guy!
Americans go to Synagogue, Church, Mass, Services, Mosque, and the old Wiccan Grove!
In your pompous pronouncements and 'tell us who you really are -today' circulars, try not to have Admiral Farragut drive a submarine; the Rebs had the only sub that worked in War Between the States ( there that's for my Southern reader).
Obama's latest 'Jesus was a 'community organizer' and Pilate was a Governor' is too cute by half, but it is like nuts on an archbishop -it won't work with crowd watching.
Jesus was poor. Jesus was a working stiff Now, Judas, there was a community organizer - had his grant money on him when he did the Dutch Act after ratting out Jesus. Yeah, Judas makes sense as a community organizer. Not Jesus. We got these articles found near the Annenberg Challenge papers from the Dead Sea Scrolls archives at Al's Italian Beef on Taylor Street.

Jesus was not a community organizer. What else is there to say?
ReplyDeleteBA
Actually, Jesus was a community organizer.
ReplyDeleteThrough the Holy Bible's Book of Acts, in its second chapter, we see how the believers joined in fellowship. They communed with food, "the believers were together and had everything in common, selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts. . ."
And though it looks differently today, at least in most of America but not so much in places such as China or Korea, for example, these fellowships --the communities of believers he inspired in Acts, for example, and inspires -- continue.
And, yes, it appears Jesus was a carpenter, given His earthly father Joseph was one, though I do know some Jews who've suggested He was a bricklayer. Whatever, it appears He knew about working for a living as a craftsman.
But Jesus was also king, having skipped a governorship. The Bible declares that God is King of kings, Hosts of hosts. But if He's King of kings, He's certainly Governor of governors.
What matters, though, is the message He brought and still does. At some point, He laid down His carpenter tools and went about His more divine purpose.
It's for all who call themselves whatever they call themselves: union members, governors, even community organizers.
To politicize who He is truly is tasteless.
But, then, given how tasteless this presidential-election cycle has been, that's to be expected.
